Ireland fan here. I agree with ROG that Whitelock is worth 12 points. Jordan will score a try. That's a 17 point increase compared to game 2. If Ireland are to win this it will have to be their best ever performance of which they are capable. Possible win for Ireland. Probable win for NZ.
The pressure here in NZL is unbelievable. I’ve been really impressed with Tahdg Furlong, O’Mahony, Doris and Van der Flier. We have Sam Whitelock back who will give consistency in the forwards and should be Captain. Savea will be a problem for the Irish so our forwards will be difficult. What worries me is that we only have 2 ABs who can kick whereas Ireland has numerous options. I’m still backing the ABs

As an Irish fan, this is the first time we can honestly say we are in with a chance of winning the series. I hope it's a very close game but I feel that NZ will beat us

A series win in New Zealand would be an awesome achievement, just a few short years ago even whispering we would win a game would have you chased through the streets by grim faced men with a tranquilizer gun... I believe that we can win, even if we don't, to finally be in a position to say we can travel to New Zealand with a realistic chance of winning the series, is just fantastic. Next milestone... I expect new Zealand to come back after the loss last week similar to the 1st test if they are bad with penalties etc it will help Ireland but I still think new Zealand will take the series unless Ireland put in the best proformance they have ever done
As an Irishman I have to say that's a brave prediction for a neutral to go for. No one would blame you for picking NZ, it's the safe pick tbh as they are the home team and they are New Zealand after all. Rugby games between tier one sides are really hard to predict these days, and scorelines even more so. Ireland have a bad record when it comes to Wayne Barnes, though I've seen some say he's a quality referee and has improved. I just hope it's a good game, with no red cards and well refereed. I'd prefer for us to win, but a close loss would not be a disaster for the big picture.
The one thing that makes me slightly confident as an Ireland fan is that I don't think Ireland have played their best yet but they've been improving game on game. This series is a bit like a concentrated Six Nations and Ireland normally improve throughout the Six Nations and give their best performance in the last game. Ireland are a system based team and the system normally improves with practice. New Zealand haven't been improving but they are capable of producing a performance capable of beating anyone. They are also desperate so will throw everything into this match. If Ireland can win this match they can win a World Cup but it will be their hardest match ever.

We also have to factor into it that the All Blacks have played just 2 games this year, as well as the unbelievable circumstance given how close we are to the WC in France next year, that we still have no idea about who our 1st pick is in numerous positions, the makeup of the loose trio, midfield, back 3 and front row are still anyone's call from week to week and that has been the case since Foster took over from Hansen in 2015. That's significant. On tonight's game, I believe the All Blacks get up & win it convincingly simply because they'll be more desperate than Ireland, I can't see the All Blacks making as many unforced errors as they did in Dunedin and the inclusion of Will Jordan in the back three is a massive boost to the sides attacking prowess. @@Brucemcleod2345 Couldn't agree more, I was at Forsythe Barr last week and the difference between the kicking strategies was night & day, Ireland kicked deep and forced the ABs to play rugby from there, as we saw, they either got turned over or spilled the ball. The ABs either box kicked or both Barretts put up bombs within their own half, which more often than not meant possession to Ireland because of the aforementioned turnovers and dropped balls. There was plenty to look at & learn from for the ABs, plus they'll be hurting.

I think people get blindsided by the series of tries by New Zealand in thr final 10 minutes of tut first half of Test 1 but the Irish dominated all your the second half and 20 minutes of tut first half. Throughout all thr tests Ireland were by far the best side. If we ignore that 10 minutes of tries by the AB'S in the first test, New Zealand had a very Blunt attack throughout and really struggled to open Ireland up throughout the tests. I think I put the 10 minutes in the test down to Ireland trying to adapt to the climate and the AB'S, but once they did the AB's struggled to break them. Ireland have a history of doing bad in the first game of a tournament and then gathering momentum over time, we see that a lot in the Six Nations where their first game is usually their worse performance. I think people are giving the All Blacks more respect than they deserve right now. They just haven't been the best team in the world since they lost to England in 2019, then following that up with a loss to Argentina and a series of loses to South Africa and Australia. They're not the team that use to be and teams like Ireland no longer fear them. Ireland broke this aura around the All Blacks on New Zealand soil and now teams know that they're vulnerable anywhere in the world, even on New Zealand soil.
What a joke, anyone can single out a period of domination in any game but the bottom line is rugby is an 80 minute game and unless the Irish play out of their skins for 80+ minutes they will lose
