I can’t understand why the old tube (valve) guys can’t open their minds and admit the new technology is where it’s at ! Most of them use pedals solid state technology and that alters the sound of the old technology and that’s ok in their minds ! Don’t get me wrong tube amplifier are great. But I want reliability and consistency and nextone is all that. Sorry for the rant, and thanks so much for watching my video. Jeff
@@Blues-man. I use both (Victory VX Super Kraken on tube side). The tube or solid state is like religion or politics lol. They both provide great options and if it sounds right to my old ears its all good by me. Rants aren’t a bad thing.

The Nextones are really great amps. I've different tubes from princeton up to bassman re, but at home or in the studio the "small" 40W stage ... great, no words .... at that time the stage are my choice over the artist ... and my tubes are sleeping since 1 1/2 year. Now I think about to sell some tubes and get the special ...
So you prefer the Nextone Stage over the Artist. I’m thinking of getting either the stage or artist so what’s the difference apart from the 40w or 80w Just wanted to know to help me make a more informed decision thanks.
@@paulwatson9217 Hi Paul, the important difference is power and of course size and a bit of weight. There are no tech. functional diff's between these two (stage vs artist). It depends -imho- on your preferrend purpose. My opinion: for gigs and/or in a band context -> artist. For home/studio and solo gigs -> stage. Better you invest the pricediff in the footswitch and maybe -later- in a celestion NEO creamback speaker. Hope I could help. best regards, jens

Also got my valve amps like my Boogie Lonestar Special to mention just one of several but I’m just really enjoying what Boss are doing not to mention how much lighter they are I’m 60 next so weight is becoming more of an issue. I don’t mind a good transistor amp they may not be valve but more than good enough. It’s amazing how many guitarist try to find minimal differences that nobody else cares about to justify valves. I’ve got them been playing 48 years and I acutely like where the technology is going ironically more so than a lot of the younger generation. Anyway thanks again for the heads up.
Absolutely beautiful silly smooth tones Jeff. My son in law got the artist katana 699.00 he paid. But I must admit. It has it all. I would love either. If I had the choice it would be whatever your tones here came from. Probably should hand you credit to the fingers first. But that amp is so good. I must get one. Probably for now wind up if I do get an amp katana due to prices. But this is again awesome. The nextone is surely the model for the purest I'd imagine. The katana Artist maybe the all arounder. I have no idea. Hahah. I absolutely love Boss. Would totally work for them. Heheh

You should have called it "I'll play the blues for you" as it sounds like that chord progression as I recall. Albert King is the best. Good tone just recorded in the room. How loud do you have your amp set?
