They should’ve made this unit with DSub could’ve made it a 32 I/O and 16 I/O via ADAT think Presonus 4848 which had said layout for the same $1.5k.

The ADAT possibility makes it considering besides the Cranbourne 500ADAT…

Nice Interface, will it work with the AKAI Force as external Interface? (without dropouts)

It's class compliant, so should work fine provided Force can detect all of the IO on hand!

Julian Krause has a deep dive on converters and tests all specifications. Great resource for the technical aspects of interfaces

Interesting but much too expensive. I"d rather spend extra 200/300 euro to get a decent digital mixer instead...

how is it too expensive? It has great converters, amazing signal to noise ratio, 8 DC Coupled Outputs, 16ins for ADAT at 48khz and a shit ton of functionality for USB, MIDI, Synths and even modular synths with it DC coupled Outs, well thought out and functional software, and a digital mixer is a whole other thing that wont be able to do any of this...Its perfect for what it does and pretty much unique on the market. Theres many way more expensive interfaces there that do much less except than being amazing quality in sound which likely nobody will hear anyway or can you tell the difference in sound between an RME Fireface, Focusrite Clarett, Steinberg, MOTU or Apollo X16 to an Audio Fuse Interface where some of them cost more than double the price and partly TERRIBLE control Software lol
OFC DSP wouldve been nice but cmon...how many interfaces below 2000€ with this function with more than 8 Analog I/O do you know?
If you watch Julian Krauses review which is very technical you will see its very very high quality for this price point + all the functionality (which obv not everybody needs) is really reasonable.

@@albonymus1682 I agree on that, it looks great, but my point is the price is too close to a digital mixer to become "a hit"...

@@JunkSoap well its two very different things... thats like saying a 1700€ Analog Synthesitzer is pricewise too close to the Erica Synths Percons Drum Machine which costs roughly 2000€ so you rather pay up and get the drum machine.
They are both analog sound sources yet 2 completely different places to use them. Same goes for an Interface vs Digital Mixer. You can both record with them but its completely different set of usage. Very often u even need an extra interface after a mixer lol

@@albonymus1682 Not a good example to me as I think the same about the super duper vintage analog hype these days :D
But I get what you mean, even it, as a guy who grew up in the tape recorders era, I will never understand why people are willing to pay that much for a model D when you can have an Iridium at half of the price that can 100% replicate 100% your Moog, but that's another story...
In what cases would you need an extra interface after a digital mixer ?
