@@salisburyrc awesome I have to get out there again its about 40 mins from my house Met AJ and help my friend bobby fly there he's 10 mins from your field and Have to catch up with Jeff and fly with him too ok have a great week maiden my Turbo Timber Evo yesterday just post it last night flys great later😊
@@salisburyrcnot yet I only had one 03 air unit and was waiting to get my cockpit setup in the T45 which is almost done using fpvtoys digital gauges.. just got my second 03 air unit this week so I’ ll try to get it completed very soon
@@salisburyrc they did in deed.. I thought I could just swap out the air unit and put it in another plane but after doing that a few times I bit the bullet lol
@@richardandkoreenacarpenter6963 So far so good! The barn door flaps really help with landing, but it is running the plane on the rough grass that is actually taking a toll on the front nose gear. It is starting to bend a bit. I’ll probably replace it in the next few weeks. I’m going to do the same as what you did with yours. My rear gears are still fine.
I love airplanes as much as the next guy but it's finding the right materials that's perfect for it is what is very tricky the only thing that has me steer clear away from airplanes is that normally if the engine goes off it crashes but what if it's made out of a material that can stay airborne without the engine running like for example styrofoam styrofoam is a material that can be airborne without the need of an engine same with paper & plastic
This plane is Styrofoam. Gravity still wins as it is very dense and heavy. Keep airspeed up and the plane still flies, but it is descending. Please don't let the thought of losing an RC plane to a crash stop you for this great hobby. All of our RC models have an expiration date.
An important part of your field kit is a large trash bag. I've had planes last years and some that didn't last 5 seconds. Thats just part of the hobby. A crash doesn't mean the end. Fix it and fly it again. I had a couple of younger flyers that crashed almost every weekend learning how to fly. That poor plane had so much glue and patches it actually didn't have the power to get off the ground.
@@alangeddes268 what are you even going on about I'm sure you scrolled down and saw me reply to the other guy saying I thought it was a real plane if you think a trash bag will save anything go jump out of a airplane and try parachuting down to earth with a trash bag cuz clearly you and I are way off topic

Thanks! This is the stock canopy plastic. I did have to cut part of it out for better visibility and for airflow to allow cooling of the DJI 03 Air Unit as it gets very hot when it is enclosed. I do have a fan blowing air over it, but it is not enough. Thanks for watching!
Great idea to cut out the plastic for clear visuals. Will have to give that a go. Great video.
Thanks! I hate cutting the plastic out, but I don't like looking at distorted scenery. 😆 THanks for watching!
great view nice open area 😊😊😊
Thanks! It is such a beautiful place to fly.
@@salisburyrc is that eastgate you were flying at been there twice it is a nice field

Thanks, Nemone! I"m still waiting on your latest FPV flight. Have you been able to do your maiden flight yet?
