love you guys , watch all the time . I own a 338 lapua and use 300 bergers in my handloads and shoot steel plates across big drainages in north Idaho . I love the dynamics of that cartridge

Two things I learned about 4K yard ranges:
    1) Bring plenty of ammo.
    2) Bring a good spotter.
    Oh, and
    3) Hang your target with 4 chains, just in case.

There's only one thing I can teach you about shooting: when you cut the chain, you immediately say, "That's what I was trying to do."

Awesome stuff. Whenever I see a new video from you two it really makes a positive impact on my day. And I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling like that. And really interesting the lead core 338 needing less elevation than calculated. Excited to see if the same thing applies to the 30 cal and 7mm too.

Of all the shooting i search, you two practically sit at the pinnacle of precision longggggg range. Half MOA shot at over 2 miles… elite sniper skill. Thanks for sharing. P.S. it’s awesome that you’re 6.5 CM of choice for nearly a 2 mile shot is Howa. Basically if you’re using a rifle in your videos, it HAS to be top notch.

Hey Mark you are a great .... For me you are a point of reference ... I started this sport for 1 year and I get more and more passionate about it. I started with 200 meters now I went to 500 meters, my goal is 2000 meters, although I think it will be hard with my Sabatti in 6.5 x 47 lapua. Whatever happens the more the challenges are impossible the better it is ... 😁😁😁. I'm considering buying your adjustable base for the rear bag because I think it can help me achieve my goal ... I look forward to your next venture bye 👋 bye.

    • @markandsamafterwork

Hi Ferdinando, great to hear you are getting out there, yes our bases do help most people in their shooting consistency, and yes that would be a tall order for that round, 1500 may be a little more attainable, but half the fun is finding the limits, all the best for the New Year, Cheers

Mark that wind was tough certainly NOT a steady wind. How do you like your TRG? I was looking at that rifle when I was shopping for my .338 Lapua but they had just got some large military contract and they were over a year out on delivery, I ended up getting a custom built Lapua with 700 action with a Hart barrel 29" and I run the same Nightforce as you do. I have been shooting all Lapua brass of course and 300 gr. SMK bullets at just under 3000 FPS. Great shooting on your part and your spotter does a great job! I cant wait to get out again but our temps in ND have been highly variable from -25 F to 57 F the other day. Take care and thanks for posting I will be watching!

Wrap that up to the "Right" (boring US political crap) using you guys as a talking point. Most Americans are greatly misinformed for a reason, but being fair this isn't the norm for your country right? And it is rather difficult (in regards to the complete ease of obtaining firearms in certain States) to obtain certain firearms if I'm not mistaken. America is a pretty decent place to live, but the people that be have great tendencies to, well, lie and manipulate in order to create certain circumstances. I for one am happy that so many of "us" are miss-informed on this one xD. Cheers.

@@Trautman80 They where OK, but I did not have a barrel to suit. Beyond that, I have not tested enough to make a call, nor do I offer that sort of advice, Cheers

I would have a hell of a time holding my crosshairs on target at 300 yards with that wind. Do you purposely pick windy days to film your shoots? Great shooting!!

Does the Spotting Scope have a MIL/MOA Reticle? I think you might have an easier time having Sam walking you in with MIL/MOA corrections and then trying 3 shot groups when you are close so you aren’t chasing the wind as much. I think you would have an easier time getting a custom Base made and do away with that Charlie contraption, but that’s just me. The less complicated the less things that can throw you off.

And to add, you have some amazing patience. Seeing those rounds dance around the target and never connect would have driven me wonky. Thanks for the great vid!!

Well I learned something today.... if a sniper is shooting at you with the .338 Lapua, you might just hear the shot if he is at least 4000yds away...
