  • I noticed there weren't very many demos of this speaker with gain, that's why I made this. Just bought this speaker, threw it in the cab and put my SM58 in front of it. The amp is only coming through the one speaker, I'm using the cab in stereo mode and plugging into one side of it

Thanks for this demo... I remember these speakers back in the day, I always felt that the g65 was a great way to present an aggressive bitting tone, and not get too fizzy. Its great to hear that it can do the job. I never really embraced the vintage 30, its good speaker, no argument.

Nice playing dude! Great tones too. I actually got one of these speakers for free from Jeff Waters about ten years ago and just put it in an old Peavey Combo I have. I might need to put it in my main cab now!

This sounds rad. May have to get some of these speakers. I have the Iconic and love it. Are you really running zero presence and about 3 o’clock on the highs? I’ll have to play around with that

Sounds really good, how can i tell for sure if the speaker is the vintage voiced or mid scooped g12 65? Im thinking about buying one but i wanna know for sure if im buying the right one.

Is that an oversized 212? Im thinking of getting these but have only heard them in standard cabs so far.
