Hello Natalia, yea I am moving on with my life and am who I am because of it. Good to know that my thumb is'nt alone in tumb-haven ;p How did you loose it?
@@O-Banels It has been rough a lot of challenges being young and still going to school, but still I manage. I was on a quad with my friend, and the horse had gotten out so we didn't have a leading rope so I suggested some twine witch is wired rope. and our way out i had it rapped around my hand the twine and I did not know that I had let little hang on the ground and that got cought in the tire and it had ripped my thumb off I had to be air lifted all the way to Francisco they tried to attach it but it failed. then I had other surgery To attatch it to my stomach which failed on the day of getting removed it had ripped from my stomach in my sleep which failed . I was In so much pain, that I didn't want anymore to do with anything I fell into a deep depression was scared to even go outside or school because I was embarrassed . But I got through it with some support through the small town and Im now an amazing softball player still using my right hand sometime difficult, but its pretty badass. Im so glad I got to text someone with the same thing and Now I know I am not the only one and that the worlds not over. Thank you !
@@nataliacastillo5495 oh damn they flew you to the hospital. I just got some kind of morphine and flew myself... into the ambulance. I didnt take the option of the bellyskin because I whas scared that it would give me other dificulties. And about the phisilogical part I have awesome friends and familie that helpt me with that. I will take the robot thumb option when they invent it.
@@O-Banels Yes it was pretty scary but it helped because I was missing so much skin. but I would love to stay in contact, for someone to talk to. But I do have a prosthetic looks insanely like a thumb but its for cosmetic looks.
It looks exactly like yours, same hand.
I had lost my thumb, It made me the person who I am today which is unique !
