Anyone wondering who the target audience is: it’s me, the ex-pc casual gamer turned new mom that doesn’t have time for “real games” anymore, got rid of her gaming pc, but would love nothing more than her absolute favorite game story to be playable on her iPad in the few minutes she has every day to play mobile games. I will be recommending this to all my non-“real gamer” girlfriends that also don’t own gaming setups and don’t have enough time in their lives for difficult games, but LOVE us a good story game! There’s actually a lot of us out here!
After putting in 6K hours I'm good, I recently stopped playing and I'm ready to move on. FF14 is amazing, hope everyone on mobile has a blast with it. I hope FF17 will be a new MMO!
@@Kumomo92 That was my thought process as well at first, but then I realized how much has changed in the last few years and how everything is possible nowadays.
Genshin is great on mobile. It means i can easily and seamlessly swap between console, pc and mobile and it just works. You can pick up exactly where you left off. If ff14 can replicate that, its a huge win
@@DestinL For a split second there, I allowed my disappointment in the length of time it is taking for FF16 to hit Xbox to cloud my judgement, and that caused me to act out of turn. My apologies. But, yeah. I actually agree. I do genuinely look forward to seeing what they do with this. Because, depending on how successful this is, other Final Fantasy games and games like it, like Star Ocean 1 & 2, for example, can potentially also make the jump to native mobile games. If that happens, then those franchises can have access to more revenue and, potentially, more entries into those franchises. Not to mention the possible implications that can be found in Xbox having a dedicated mobile platform and mobile GamePass and having those games as part of its mobile GamePass offerings... 😏 The potential of this development can not be understated.

I'm interested but big Japanese companies such as Squenix and Nintendo seem to hate our region, Southeast Asia. So if the sign-ups still use Squenix's account system that's limited to specific regions, I'm out of luck.
Destin please do a video on the Xbox Steam your owned games, i tried it out today on my Steam Deck at work and it works. Right now it's only a select few titles but i expect more games to come.
Im very excited about FFXIV mobile 😂😂 never been played on PC or consoles just wacthing gameplay stuff at youtube 😅im so interested open world i want to explore ezorea ❤❤❤ Hopefully Yoshi P excute very well on the mobile platform ❤❤ idont know why intent a chinese devz ?? 🤣🤣🤣
Man, this is like an escape from North Korea, through the DMZ, with barbed wire, vicious German Shepherds and mines 😂. Congrats Square Enix, the latest escapee of the Sony exclusive camp 😂😂l
Why would I want to play a game on a tiny screen? With bad graphics, bad audio, and bad controls? Especially when I own a device specifically made to play games hooked up to a big oled tv with surround sound?
Update: my guess for setting 1080p mix of high and mid setting at 30fps 1080p mix of mid and low at 60 with drops at demanding times 1080p low at 60fps 720p high settings at 60fps unstable 720p mix high and mid settings at 60fps (If well optimized)
@@incognisance4293 but if you think about it the cpu is what’s going to be the bottleneck due to the four efficiency cores and two performance cores which basically means you got a four core cpu
@ again, if they don’t get it to work at 60 fps on the largest smart phone platform in the world with their newest model they have failed. We cannot really make any assumptions until it’s a hands on preview or we see the specs.

You go sis!
Basically the same thing for me, minus the mom part 😅
Or the millions of children in 3rd world countries that can’t afford a PC or console or TV
Owo 🫡🫡😄😄
You’re a real gamer

Given how the New Saga just started. most likely next mmo will not be out in the next 10 years :')

Pray return to the Waking Sands.
Now she can Ping us on our phone xD

Their horrible account/registration system has prevented me from enjoying this game. I hope the mobile version is completely detached from all that
I've been playing since 2013 and each expansion is a pain due to their tangled spaghetti account systems.
Good video bro and keep up the good work 💪👍 and I will be watching you 😊
Meh.
Edit:
Nah, let me not be a hater. This is definitely good news for Final Fantasy 14 fans. Respect.
The community is great. I'm excited to see what they do here.

Cause now I can play on the train, feel like this is an obvious thing.
You likely are not the intended audience.
You obviously didn't watch the trailer, cuz the graphics are anything but bad.
It will need permanent internet connection since its a mmo right? @@jdmz1103
As a long as I don’t have to pay for a sub
Im going to say a mix of low and mid setting 720p at 30fps or if you got 16 pro iPhone maybe 45fps
Update: my guess for setting
1080p mix of high and mid setting at 30fps
1080p mix of mid and low at 60 with drops at demanding times
1080p low at 60fps
720p high settings at 60fps unstable
720p mix high and mid settings at 60fps
(If well optimized)
An iPhone 16 pro should be able to run this at 60. If it doesn’t, they fundamentally failed.
