Nothing wrong with it. It's the editing of the clip. By the time the contestant arrives, the caption reads correctly.

Why 2 Alabama jokes when there are so many states that want to control women?
Because Alabama was the first state and she’s got to pick one...
Also Alabama was in the news recently for passing a new state wide anti-abortion law. And I have gotten the impression that this anti-abortion law in Alabama was the strictest and most served even when compared to other states that have anti-abortion laws. Most anti-abortion laws usually have exception if the conception was the result rape or incest. But this new law Alabama has no such exception.
But there is now a lawsuit trying to challenge. I will include a link to news article people if wanted to read about it.

I don't think they're specifically told about the topics for the other rounds, but I suspect they have a good idea since it's based on recent news stories.
A few of the contestants even have reminders for their jokes written on their hands.

They say as if it's an emergency that the hyper drive broke, making it seem like they're stranded in space. The punchline subverts that expectation, by saying they can just catch an uber. Classic joke format.
