- Nobody movie reaction this is a FIRST TIME WATCHING for Diamond Dave.
Badd Medicine here and it's Nobody reaction time! Bob Odenkirk did a fantastic job in this movie! Christopher Lloyd, nice to see him again and RZA as well! Very interesting concept to see how bored Hutch Mansell got with his life. They did a great job showing us his same routine everyday. But once his house was robbed that switch went on. And of course "consequences" of do that and going after those who did it come along. The Nobody bus scene was a great action sequence! That gave us a lead into the antagonist Yulian Kuznetsov. Of course he wants to Hutch after whooping his brother. But, we see there are moments of some of Yulians team up and leave when they find out they are going after Hutch. Also the tattoo on Hutch's arm is interesting. Hutch did give a little light into what he used to do, but still a ton of story there to tell. And this has to be somewhat in the John Wick universe right? Lots of undertones there for John Wick. Overall great flick and hope they give us at least one more to tell this story as there are plenty of bits to go from.

Bob Odenkirk did fantastic! What was your reaction to Nobody? Is this part of the John Wick Universe?

Awesome guys!!😃👍🏼
Thank you Joe!
It is part of JW universe as both were written by Derek Kolstad! Great reaction as always!!
I did see it in the theater I loved it I was so mad that it got overshadowed by Godzilla vs Kong which also overshadowed The Currier which was also great
according to the writers The Movie is set in the John Wick Universe. Hutch's Auditor "Job" or Title is similar to John Wick sequel Judicator Title of the High Table.
I'll just say that the reason it feels like John Wick is because it's the same writer and producer as John Wick
It's great! Loved it.
so, its chance that we will can see in the future the best crosover ever!
@@moro3475 ehhh, there would be some continuity errors but sure
@@tracerjames51 some movies and franchises I care about continuity errors, but John Wick/Nobody are not one of those.
@@tracerjames51 What errors are you referring to? Personally can't recall anything that would conflict.
❤The Director confirmed that Nobody does take place in the John Wick universe. Knowing that. The scene where the veteran thanked Hutch for his service. Does make me think of the high table.
John Wick is a private-sector assassin, Hutch Mansell is a public-sector assassin.
They were both brought back into they're old lives @@TheDBrigner
Actually John wick is part of the crime world's assassination system. Nobody is from the government's one
13:59 The fact that the wasn't any cuts, it was all in frames and the reaction seems genuine is why i love this movie.
The stunt team did a fantastic job
Yeah they did awesome
sorry I can't stop replaying that scene now
You missed that gramps had the same 7-2 offsuit tattoo. The single worst draw you can get in Texas Hold-em. You get that hand, you fold. Thus...when the 'bad guys' draw that hand, they fold. And bend. And spindle. And get mutilated.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the barber had a 8-3 offsuit um...cufflink I think. Second worst hand you could draw. They were the clean-up detail for the three-letter agencies.
explanation from someone else on another reaction video (Nikki & Steven React) -

-If your talking about the tattoo of the "7 of Spades & 2 of Diamonds". Its actually a reference to the US DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency)'s Most-Wanted Members PIPC (Personality Identification Playing Cards) Protocol for the US led Coalition to easily identify Saddam Hussein's key players within the government after the invasion in 2003. The highest, most dangerous, and with the ut most importance were given the "Aces, Kings Queens, & Jacks" of all suits. While all other subjects who were affiliated and subject to the same targeting were given the "10-2" cards of all suits. But also you gotta think this was early on in the invasion and was very common and was widely known Troops played cards to pass the time so CO's and NCO's both alike figured it'd be perfect time to bring back an old Protocol of the DIA.
-But another bit of added history here, what a lot of people don't know is Iraq wasn't actually where the use of the "playing cards" for PIPC originated from, In fact its had been used 3 times prior, THE FIRST EVER being throughout the American Civil War. Then during World War II following the Pearl Harbor Attack, Army Air Corps decks printed these "playing cards" with the silhouettes of German and Japanese fighter aircraft for the PIPC Protocol. The last use of these "playing cards" PIPC Protocol was during the Korean War.
-To put it into more perspective though even though Targets were already divided and given respective playing cards, it goes beyond that. Because Each Suit of cards represented a specific group of people (in which depending on how its going to be to take them out they are separated accordingly). When you break that down, Its even furthermore widely known anyone Identified with any Spade card, its mere suicide going after that target no matter how many people you bring simply because of the blow back that'll come with. While Clovers Targets come after Spades, Hearts after Clovers, and Diamonds after Hearts. What I'm saying is Targets with a Spade or Clover playing card Identifier is a Suicide mission while Targets with a Hearts or Diamonds is still very dangerous just not as costly. Now its up to the viewer to presume which card came first, but based on how the "2 of Diamonds looks a bit faded compared to the 7 of Spades" I can almost say IMO, I would say the protagonist had completed a "2 of Diamonds" Target first then sometime at somepoint completed a "7 of Spades" Target forcing them into hiding with a new identity and a new life, one of which is clearly hidden from the family.
I hope this helps anyone better understand kind of a bit more information surrounding the tattoo around the "Playing Cards", and if anyone dares to ask how or why I bothered to type this even though no one asked, well someone will eventually ask, and I come from a long line Military Family + I went to college for 2 years studying to become a history teacher, prior to dropping out and taking over a Family Business after somethings happened.
Bob Odenkirk said this movie saved his life. He had a heart attack during the production of the film and he said that if he hadn't gotten into shape for this film he might not have lived through the heart problem.
Staying in shape saves lives. You don't see many 60+ year old big boys
I thought Odenkirk's heart attack was during the Better Call Saul shoot for the season 6 finale, "Plan and Execution". The story I know is, he was exercising, on a stationary bike, had a heart attack and fell down. Another cast member (who would otherwise not have been there, but since they were shooting the finale, he had to be present) saw it happen and Odenkirk got medical help right away.
@@pabloc8808 I could be wrong and it may have been on the set of BCS but he still credits Nobody’s workout regiment for saving his life
@@unxprienced9548 I don't doubt that for a second, it must've been one hell of a regimen considering what he does in this movie, and it saved an absolute legend of an actor
@@pabloc8808 Yeah! I'm glad we still got Saul Goodman
This is a ten out of ten for bob odenkirk and the action was absolutely crazy
I read somewhere that, although they don't plan in making a crossover movie, they could have little easter eggs from Nobody in John Wick, meaning that they are both in the same universe. I want so bad to see John getting in a bar and Hutch is just there drinking and they start talking about mundane life lol
The difference is that Wick is an assassin that hires himself out to the underworld while Hutch removed people that were stealing from the government. Unlikely that they'd ever cross paths.
@@silverblade357 well when he says he is a auditor he might of only mentions what he did for the goverment but he may of been one for the wick verse
@@thatsimracer666 he would have fit in, but has absolutely nothing to do with John Wick
@@judeless77 I know what I was saying he only talked about what he did for the 3 letter agencies but kept the other side of auditory work a secret possibly wgo knows
I don't think you remember what happened the last time John Wick was in a bar... ;)
Still one of my favorite bits from literature in mythos. "Nobody did this to me."
My favourite one-liner is actually from Babylon 5 - "If you value your lives, be somewhere else."
Mine is "excuteing the getting the hell out of here maunever captain!"
"If I'm not back in an hour......call the President", Jack Burton
To this day the whole, "For me, it was a Tuesday' delivered by Raul Julia as Bison in the crappy Street Fighter movie. Especially given the context of what it meant to Chun Li. That was the single most destructive burn I've heard in my life.
🔥🔥🔥
one of my favorites is actually a few lines instead of one but it's Christopher Walken's comments in Man on Fire. " A man can be an artist in many things....cooking, painting..... Creasy's art is Death, and he's about to paint his masterpiece."
My favorite one liner is probably the end of John wick 2 when he kills santino. “What have you done?” “Finished it”
Hahaha loved that
I think the most badass one liner is Bronson's characters response at the starting scene of Once Upon A time In The West.
"Looks like we're shy one horse."
"You brought two too many."
Amazing movie for so many different reasons, one of the best action movies in recent history in my opinion. There are way too many things I loved about it, but one thing I found very cool is how it's basically the opposite of john wick. Yes, both men tried to leave their past life to start a new one with a family, both were dragged back in, but the difference is John despises it whereas Hutch absolutely LOVES it.
Well said🤙
Really?? Amazing movie, really? It was 100% predictable, no interesting deviations from formula whatsoever, terrible casting in Bob Odenkirk, and it's an "amazing movie for so many different reasons?" Come on, dude! Next you're gonna tell us John Wick wasn't a totally mediocre, terribly written red-meat movie with a very untalented lead?
In both movies, the director proves he doesn't give a crap about decent casting and only cares about drawing an audience. In both movies, the cookie--cutter leads have barely developed personalities and very thick plot armor.
They're bad movies that people only watch because of the leads and that stupid people love action movies. They're SO far from Terminator, Die Hard, or Aliens, movies made by actually talented writers and directors, that it boggles the mind to read comments like "amazing move for so many reasons!" You're one of the ones who are the reason we only ever get garbage like this crap these days!
@@Christobanistan dude you just want to hate 😭 if youre not a fan of action movies just say that, tell me what other action movies are better than ones like this and the john wick franchise. 🤣 L take
@@Christobanistan all the movies you named have terrible action sequences in comparison to nobody and the john wick franchise 🤣🤣
@@gaskittt I refuse to argue with idiots.
That 7-2 unsuited tattoo is, besides being the statistically worst possible Texas Hold ‘Em hand, is a tattoo that some of the guys in the army special forces get
Ahhh. Thank you.
You guys should check out both of the Red movies with Bruce Willis, John Malkovich and Helen Meereen all are funny and badass you guys will like it
The writer wrote both John Wick AND Nobody confirmed it was in the same universe.
Yes! 🤘🤘🤘
If the universe was in the writer’s head. The writer has been interviewed several times and confirmed the only universe they belong to are in the writer’s head.
So nobody is the law enforcement equivalent of the assassin world in john wick
This movie was like R.E.D., John Wick and The Incredibles all rolled into one.
This movies was incredible. Bob killed it
Favourite badass statement is in the 300 when King Leonidas says as the Persian army approach " Give them nothing but take from them everything"
when his dad turned the tv volume down did you notice his wrist had the same tattoo as hutchie?
I missed that. But figured they did the same. Towards the big fight he mentioned how much he misses it to hutch.
Finally!!! I was really waiting for this reaction. As always, it was amazing to see you guys react to a movie. It is difficult to believe that you haven't seen some movies but in a way it is also amazing because we get to see your first view of something. This movie is so amazing that even in the second view for two of you the movie still can surprise. I would like to see some more of this characters as well. Greetings from Venezuela.
Hello Alexiani! Good to see you back! Yeah, it's getting harder to get out and go to the theaters. Everyone here has family's and work and it all ads up quick. But as always we appreciate ya jumping into the comments and gracing us with your presences🤙🤘 I really hope we see him and John wick together.
@@BaddMedicine that's right, I forget sometimes about the quarantine and the fact that we can't go out there like before. It is good to know that you're taking care of yourselves. Thank you!! It is a pleasure to talk and see your videos. Can't wait for what you have next😎
What's your rating for the movie? Would you like to see John Wick & hutch?
@@BaddMedicine For me it was 5/5 answers. I really liked this movie, it has been a while without an action movie like this out there -in my opinion-. And I don't know, I'm not against whatching a movie with the two of them but it would be nice for Hutch to have the spotlight for a while first.
Haha great scale to use! 🤙Good point. Little more hutch would've been good. But really hope for a 2nd lots of story to tell!
The 2016 DREDD is a walking One liner. Obviously the "I am the law", or "chike on this" or even "I said... HOT SHOT".
But my favorite is "I think a bullet my interfere more"
Best one liner ever. "I came to chew bubblegum and kick some ass, and I'm all out of bubblegum." From They Live
Duke Nukem said it first, I believe.
Bruce Cambel in Army of Darkness "right now your the king of two things Jack and Shit and Jack left town"!
That movie was so fun to watch together with you guys! UA-cam Membership is really paying off. I totally agree with Oak, this movie was over the top at times, but that's exactly what we need with these kinds of movies 😂 Can't believe I haven't watchted it before 🙈 Thanks for the reaction 💪💚
One of the funnest movies to come out in awhile! I've seen this movie many times and it brings me joy every time! 😁
my favorite one liner = "Dying ain't much of a living boy"
To hell with them fellas. Buzzards gotta eat. Same as worms. 😉
The Outlaw Josey Wales
The auditor needs to team up with “The Accountant”.
My favorite one-liner is actually a no liner. In Superman, Lex Luthor explains that he sent one missile to the San Andreas fault and the other to Hackensack, New Jersey because even Superman couldn't stop them both. As they're walking away, his assistant says to Lex, " But my mother lives in Hackensack ". His response was the coldest thing I've ever seen in a film. He looks at her for a moment, looks at his watch, looks back at her, and then just shakes his head no and walks away.
lmao
Yes that one was brutal
Also one of the most cartoonishly stupid moves an "genius" movie villain has ever done. I mean, he believes she's gonna choose Lex over her mom, and gives her a really easy way to thwart his plans, then walks out of the room? He's not clever, he's one of the dumber Bond villains!
I never actually saw that post credit scene before, wow
Oh really? Yeah, it was interesting.
I really enjoyed your guys' reaction. I'm now officially a sub, and I'm binge-watching all of your videos.😊
Not a movie, but one of my favorite badass one liners is from the first God of War game from 2005. Spoilers for the game:
Ares the Greek God of War tricked the main character Kratos into killing his own wife and daughter in an effort to turn Kratos into a perfect warrior. By severing the last ties that Kratos had to his humanity. Kratos of course seeks revenge and right before the killing blow Ares begins to beg for mercy.
Ares: Remember Kratos, it is I who saved you in your time of greatest need.
Kratos: I haven't forgotten Ares. I remember how you saved me.
Ares: That night. I was trying to make you a great warrior.
(The one liner is)
Kratos: You succeeded.
He then stabs Ares through the neck.
Just found you guys recently and can't believe you have so few views on this. Awesome movie, and you guys are fun reactors!
Favorite One-Liner - "You know how every once in a while you run in to somebody you wish you hadn't f**ked with...? That's me! -- Clint Eastwood/Gran Torino
Alita - The Battle Angel "Fuck your mercy" is my favourite one.
18:40 it was not Auditor in Wick. It was Adjuticator. From high table. He worked for the three letter agencies.
🤘🤘🤘
John McClane in Die Hard “Yippee-Ki-Yay, Mother******” is my favorite. Loved your reaction to this movie!
When I saw this with my friends, one of the names we gave it was "Escalation: The Movie"
FINALLY GUYS !! YOU DID AS U TOLD ME YESTERDAY . VIEWER FROM INDIA .
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The best one liner in history is the Spartan reply to King Philip of Macedon, he wrote some long winded letter threatening them with invasion and destruction, and included the line "If my army crosses into your territory" the Spartans sent back a single word as a response.
"If."
Too bad they couldn't back their brilliant reply up.
I really like the chair in the hospital gag.
That bus fight will go down in history s one of the great cinematic brawls lol.
Yeah, much better than the Stallone bus fight. 👍
Many people are shot with their own guns during home invasions/robberies. People prepare to show a gun and say freeze, not to kill someone. Bob Odenkirk prepared for this role even for he got the part, he wanted to play the character that much.
Bob did fantastic
I think that Hutch being an auditor and gold in some form being a payment method are just easter eggs from John Wick. One of the creators of Nobody,
Derek Kolstad written/co-written the whole John Wick Saga including upcoming Chapter 4.
Can't wait to see Wick!
@@BaddMedicine Same here.
Kind of like Red Apple Cigarettes in a Tarantino Film?
Favorite one liner would be “I am the one who knocks”
Walter White
also, Nice choice of posters in the background! You mentioned Die Hard with the protagonist taking (more) realistic damage and then there's Home Alone with some outrageous traps.
Good catch 🤘😁
Also I’m pretty sure this isn’t in the John Wick universe as much as we’d like it to be. The main drunk guy that was driving the hummer in this movie was also the main henchman in John Wick, but John choked him out so it can’t be him
Twins ;p
Hutch didnt kill him tho ;)
@@gaskittt Nobody is a secret John Wick prequel confirmed?
my favorite one liner from predator:"i have no time to bleed."
I loved this movie
It's really cool that the wife didn't know that the basement was actually a safe room with an electronically controlled safety door, she looked real surprised when she saw that hidden switch panel behind the light switch.
One liner from The Watchmen movie. Rorschach. I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with *ME*!
This movie is absolutely incredible. Never judge a book by its cover.😁
I watched this movie because my husband loved breaking bad. I wasn’t looking forward to it but it’s brilliant 😊
"Your incompetence is becoming most taxing", Viktor from Underworld
"Is he going to get the watch?"
"Yeah...watch..."
🤣🤣🤣
I loved this movie specially the scene in the interagation room with the kitten! And can anybody tell me how the exploding record player worked?
im sure its been commented by now, but they are working on a 2nd one, its in the writing stage i believe?
Oh for real?
the only other time I've heard the phrase "pray tell" was in Kill Bill
"Yippee-ky-yay motherf**ker" is probably the ultimate action movie catchphrase.
I just love your reactions guys....
Hoping if you ever watch
"my name is khan"
Thank you. We can add it to the list.
there is an interview where Nobody said they arent against a crossover, but they arent related beyond being ass kicking movies.
this one took years of work to get here so id love to see them mix or cameo but they arent canon, sorta like see Picard with a lightsaber, cool but highly improbable.
The connection to John Wick is the gold. It has the same markings as the coins in John Wick so it was made from the same mint.
Amos Burton, The Expanse: "I am that guy."
Ilya Naishuller, the director, confirmed in an interview that writing on a second film already has begun.
About the John Wick connection.
That's just too much to talk about in YT comments.
There are site long articles with theories. It's probably best you guys look them up. ;)
I hope they cross over
This was an awesome movie
Indeed!
"I came for the show" - Nobody
One theory I had after seeing noboby and John Wick 4 was that the movies take place in the same universe. In John Wick 4 you have the guy following John around and only refers to himself as a Nobody, which if the movies are linked meaning there's another organization that refer to themselves as nobodies, seemingly as a independent mercenary group that will work alongside the table if needed. What's cool is Derek Kolstad (the writer of the movies) confirmed they are in the same universe, so could be some crossover, unlikely though.
A stupid theory My friend and I like is that the John Wick movies are purely just us being able to watch Neo's martial arts training upload from the Matrix, the movies are purely what he experienced during the upload to teach him all the moves and knowledge.
I reckon when he says he was a audiotor he only spoke about being for the 33 letter agencies might of been either auditor for wick universe or a hitman
My favorite one liner :
"Forgiveness is between them and God, it's my job to arrange the meeting" by John Creasy
- Man on Fire
No matter how many times I watch man on fire I cry every fuckin time 😢 one of my favorite movies. Denzel shoulda won a Oscar for his performance
My reaction to this movie? Liam Neeson had his trilogy. He'll be playing Christopher Lloyd's character in an eventual sequel.
18:30 - because Auditors make an accounting of Assets...
So his job was to make sure that all the assets were accounted for when a project was shut down.
To this day, and probably a dozen watches, I still can't tell if he's crossing his fingers because he's hoping Yulian will or won't take the deal. I think he would have been happy with either, but at least he got to use his traps.
I was with Dave, for me Bob Odenkirk is a skivy lawyer, funny type of guy, he did great in this film!!!
I need to watch this movie
It just hit hbomax yesterday or Friday if you have it. 🤙
To imation this is the dude who played. Jimmy in better call saul is insane to me
I can't remember, but I think it was GQ or Insider who did an interview with the creators of Nobody (and John Wick), and one question they were asked is 'in the in the Universe of John Wick?'
The creators said it was the intention from the very beginning, but the fact it is made by two different production firms means it's more 'adjacent' to John Wick than actually in the Universe. They wish that they COULD be in the same Universe, and have said they intend to leave that option open, IIRC, but the likelihood is almost zero that it would ever happen. Studios and production companies are notorious for not doing what would make the most money for everyone, and please the fans the most.
So, I'll continue wishing for them to cross over, just like I'll keep wishing for Dredd to get a series of films or long-form episodes, but those are essentially impossible without the cash to buy it up and make happen.
The self-destruct record was seen in THE MECHANIC, with Jason Statham.
I think all 10 of my top 10 favorite baddass one-liners come from either Tombstone or The Way of The Gun. I couldn't pick one as THE one though.
I like the throwaway attitude of Val Kilmer’s “I’ll be your huckleberry.” Too cool for school!
Best one liner in a series was from Breaking Bad when Walter White said to his wife .." I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS"
I like how the movie makes the main character human. Unlike other movies that the mc fights like friggin Bruce Lee and can't even get hit by a bullet.
Great movie The last time I checked there was two burglars and two guns So you can’t fight a bullet
I like always the thumb break, because I can do that (it’s congenital) a lot of people can just use the thumb in that direction. But I tried to get out of handcuffs it doesn’t work except they r not closed tight enough. Your hand doesn’t get smaller and the thing is almost round
🤣🤣🤣🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 that makes sense if they make it tighter.
He dislocated his thumb its quite easy to do but the pain is immense unless you did it enough times to get used to it.
"you broght a lot of shotguns" .. "well, you broguth a lot ofg russians" :D i love it :D
his dad was an auditor aswell he has the same pair of cards tattoo
In Hold'em Poker (in which each player is dealt two 'hole' cards -- which are cards unseen by other players until a final showdown), 7-2 unsuited is pretty much the worst possible hand you can get (you can't get a straight with them, you're unlikely to get a winning flush, and they are the lowest non-connecting cards in the deck, which are easily beat by higher cards. Typically, you want to hold "Aces up your sleeve," but here, he's got the worst hand...and he got it tattooed on his wrist (where a hustler would hide cards).
The tattoo has two card of 2 & 7. In poker it’s the most unluckiest card combo. Here it means if you see an auditor with that card combo It's your unluckiest day or the last day 😉
Amazing video guys. I don't know if you count this a 1 liner. My fav would have to Rick Grimes saying There Fucking with wrong people.
Really wish AMC would've kept that in for Rick
@@BaddMedicine yesss. Luckily I own the DVD version so he says it there and Disney Plus removed it aswell which I'm pissed about.
Lol of course
It was very John wickish. I also believe it also had the same kind of atmosphere as the equalizer with Denzel Washington
About breaking his hand on that wall - nope. Without any training, or little training, sure, his bones would at least have cracked. But considering his background, his bones have certainly been under "enough" stress to toughen up to withstand that kind of punishment. Hell, I've seen an x-ray of the hand of a Shaolin monk whose "specialty" were finger strikes (the kind of guys who thrust their fingers into _trees_ to toughen them up for hours pretty much every day), and the _density_ of those finger bones was just insane...
I think that he is kind of same as John Wick, just a little better at the end when he says to the police officers when they ask who the fuck are you, and he responds 'I'm Nobody'
ooh yeah its in JOHN WICK UNIVERSE . Keanu is keen to bring him in his story if its in high demand as I read in an article.
That would be awesome!
They said the paintings are 8 or 9 figures. Plus he must have a ton overseas
Half way through the show I started thinking Nobody was John Wick's older brother.
Nobody is the perfect response to John Wick and just as amazing.
Wick all martial arts and awesome choreography, Nobody no fancy martial arts just brutal beatings.
Wick, a dog and Nobody a braclet.
Wick, every justification and Nobody, no real justification.
Wick, everyone knows and Nobody is totally unknown
And, dayum. Who would win in a face-off?
Luv 'em both.
He’s a Nobody...S’all Good, Man!
Haha I see what you did there🤘
"You brought a lot of shotgun shells"
"You brought a lot of Russians"
Tat is off suit 7 & 2. Worst cards to be dealt. Signifies the bearer deals in death for money.
Ahhhh... Thank you!
@@BaddMedicine Your welcome. Thanks for the review.
