It's nice to take a break and listen to you Becky, I have 2 quilts on the go for Christmas presents, also making project bags for gifts, and doing a sew along with JUJU for book covers, It is now school holidays here in Australia, so I'm looking after my grandson who has special needs, I feel very blessed to have sewing skills and a nice machine, I have learnt so much from you Becky Thank you for all your tutorials and inspiration.

I have been long arming two years backlog of quilt tops. I am doing pretty good so far. This weekend I decided to start machine binding them. I am going to try for at least two a day and hopefully make a dent in the 30+ quilts I have done already. You see, my family comes here for Thanksgiving and our tradition is my daughters get to go through my quilts and pick for themselves, ones to give friends and the grandchildren are now old enough they pick for teachers etc. So.....I need to keep at it!

Quilted a Spinnaker quilt today with Nantucket Summer fabrics. Just did straight line quilting (wish I could afford a long arm!). Tomorrow plan to get the binding on and a label. I have another quilt top to layer and quilt. Again ,it will probably be straight line quilting. I seem to have issues with the end to ends so I tend to only use them for small projects. I hear your voice and I obey…….go sew something! Hugs!
It seems like I've got as many projects in the works as you do! I stitched all the parts for the winter section of Four Seasons from AG, but haven't sewn them together. I have gathered fabrics for free standing Santa and Mrs. Claus (cut up a red faux suede shirt). I've got fabrics for an Amelie Scott table runner, plus a couple tote bags to sew, and two quilts that need to go on the longarm. (New to me HQ Sixteen). I'm doing samples on that, which will probably become placemats. Time to go sew something!
I watched the Texas football game. It’s the one time I’ve cheered for Texas (I’m an Oklahoma Sooner fan Lol). Anyway, the traffic is the same in Norman Oklahoma when the Sooners host a game. I REFUSE to drive in Norman on game day. I’m glued to the TV to watch the game so it really doesn’t impact me. I’m like your other viewer, I miss your chit-chat talks too. I’m not a quilter, but I enjoyed your embroidery and scan m cut videos. Thanks for your tutorials. Happy Fall!
I made the DBJJ fall table runner you did a video on. I made it for my sister's birthday (in August). She absolutely loves it. All her friends can't believe I made it. Your video makes it so easy! It was the first project I made with my Scan n Cut (330D) that I bought on your recommendation! All you folks out there, Becky's tutorials are the best! I am still learning the SnC. It can do so much that I have tons to learn. I have the Luminaire, which is a fabulous machine. I love mine! Becky also has a great tutorial for key fobs. Made my first two of those. So easy! I make purses, totes and bags and want to convert the pattern pieces to cut on my SnC. So, on Becky's recommendation, I got Simply Applique and Embrilliance. As you can tell, I am a huge Becky fan! I learn so much even if I am not doing that project she is presenting. I watch all her videos - love them all. I've rambled on long enough - so if you are on the fence, Becky is a fabulous teacher and you will learn so much! THANK YOU BECKY!!
My husband (the computer guru I call him said with all the stuff I run for digitizing, EQ8, Embrilliance, V8 software, ect.. So much stuff I needed a gaming computer. So he orders mine from Dell, has it built pretty much. Way more then I want to spend but I see How great it works so I guess its good. Thank you for telling us about the transfer cable!!! my that was a time saver.

I just found you last week and I'm so excited. I'm recently retired and now I have time to sew and quilt. I have a six needle Babylock embroidery machine but I don't remember how to use it. I'm hoping I can find links on your channel to bring me back up to speed because the shop that sold it to me has been closed since Hurricane Ida blew through last August. Can't wait for the DIME event tomorrow.

Yes, those quilts can be tedious with the same block over and over. The trick is to break it into tiny chunks that don't take too much time. Good luck and persevere! He'll love it!
You HAVE been busy! As for tech, yes, it is such a time suck. I retired last year as a Sr. Systems Administrator (Navy contractor) and don’t miss it. Just the gobs of $$! 🤣 So, I’ve been working on quilts, handbags, charity quilts, and a ginormous quilt that I THOUGHT I was keeping. The grandson saw it and claimed it. It’s Steampunk Aquatic panels that I mocked up in my design software and is now waiting on me to piece the backing. I’ve been wanting a SNC for awhile, but then, I saw Diode lasers. Smaller than the CO2 lasers. Talk about a Power Tool! 😆 Love your catch-ups!
Hubs has a Glowforge he hasn't mastered yet. I had wanted some new plastic name tags with magnets on the back for my DAR chapter and after burning through a few attempts, he says, "You know, I could get a C&C machine and make these name tags." I was like, "ABSOLUTELY NOT! You've got $8k worth of laser cutter in there you can't make work so we're not dropping any more dollars on a C&C machine." LOL BOYS! At least I can work all of my Power Tools. :-)
I am waiting for My Luminaire 3 upgrade to arrive as well as the PE Design 11. I also ordered the SDX325 (you are such a bad influence!!) That is on back order as well. I have an air thread serger that I don't know how to use yet so I'm going to sign up for Amy's Serger classes. Wish me luck!!!

What am I working on? Right now I'm trying to get the little stars done on my Seamstress quilt by Laundry Basket Quilts. Then it's the tree skirt (have all the fabric and my KingStar thread just got here), then it's Kimberbell's Spring Showers quilt. As you can see I never get to things in the same time as everyone else. Oh and I'm also in the middle of a basement remodel, so that has impacted things a lot. Thank goodness I can take a break and watch your channel!
Ha ha ha, I was thinking the same thing as Gmma B. I hear you regarding switching to a new computer. I edit 1080, 2k & 4k video from my GoPro. I film my scuba dives so my files are HUGE. As a result I invested in a ASUS ROG STRIX i7 SSD laptop 5 years ago. It’s a gaming computer but it can handle the workload. I saved $$ by not getting a 4k screen. I load my files on both my internal & external SSD drive and store the final copy on the external SSD & wipe the internal drive. Which will make my next computer upgrade easier as it’s mainly my software now on the laptop & my video, music & embroidery design files are all on external drives. I hope your new laptop is a workhorse!
Yes, this new HP Envy has the 120Hz refresh rate and has the i7 processor as well so it's handling it all fine. I too wipe the videos off the laptop and add to an external 3TB hard drive to keep the memory not quite so overloaded. My only beef with Asus is that when they were first released in the US, they had a bug in them that allowed foreign actors to see all the data on the PC. The DoD (Dept of Defense) had to cancel a contract for Asus computers years ago when that was found and yanked them all of the .mil network. I don't know if that bug was ever fixed but they are still not allowed on the DoD network so I'm guessing not. I'm sure China has most of my data anyway, but there's no sense in helping them along. Almost all of the PC's on the DoD network are HP so I tend to stick with that brand.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Wow, that’s interesting about ASUS & DoD. I only connect my laptop to the net when I need it, I don’t use automatic connect. Also all my personal stuff is not in the laptop & I scan weekly. I had too many HP & Dell lemons to use either one. My ROG Strix is the longest I’ve had a good laptop. Have a great & productive week.

When you chat about Amy Baughmans shop, I get so excited!! My daughter and I shop there as often as we can, she carries so much in her store, it's amazing, fabric, tools, patterns, embroidery designs, machines accessories, furntiture, thread, all great stuff. I have a serger there right now for repairs, Dennis is working on it and finding more issues with it, but he calls me to let me know what's going on and what it may cost. Her staff is wonderful, just love her too, she's so friendly and willing to talk with you about anything.
So enjoyed today's visit. And sew wish I could go on the cruise with you, but not this time. Know you will have an amazing time. You have been, and will be, so busy. I enjoy hearing all about it.

I am amazed at what you all do! I have learned from your channel that my embroidery machine can do so much more. I just finished a nativity quilt. I think it was appliqué, but I drew it our for piecing. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I added some stars and some words from Silent Night with my embroidery machine. Now I have moved on to pumpkins. Thanks for all you share and do.

I was wondering if you have an embroidery machine with design center do you need simply appliqué? I just got a 1055 and was wondering if I need the software or not or if I learn my design center I can do it on the machine. Love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to do them.

Ha ha ha, I was thinking the same thing as Gmma B. I hear you regarding switching to a new computer. I edit 1080, 2k & 4k video from my GoPro. I film my scuba dives so my files are HUGE. As a result I invested in a ASUS ROG STRIX i7 SSD laptop 5 years ago. It’s a gaming computer but it can handle the workload. I saved $$ by not getting a 4k screen. I load my files on both my internal & external SSD drive and store the final copy on the external SSD & wipe the internal drive. Which will make my next computer upgrade easier as it’s mainly my software now on the laptop & my video, music & embroidery design files are all on external drives. I hope your new laptop is a workhorse!
Yes, this new HP Envy has the 120Hz refresh rate and has the i7 processor as well so it's handling it all fine. I too wipe the videos off the laptop and add to an external 3TB hard drive to keep the memory not quite so overloaded. My only beef with Asus is that when they were first released in the US, they had a bug in them that allowed foreign actors to see all the data on the PC. The DoD (Dept of Defense) had to cancel a contract for Asus computers years ago when that was found and yanked them all of the .mil network. I don't know if that bug was ever fixed but they are still not allowed on the DoD network so I'm guessing not. I'm sure China has most of my data anyway, but there's no sense in helping them along. Almost all of the PC's on the DoD network are HP so I tend to stick with that brand.
@@PowerToolsWithThread Wow, that’s interesting about ASUS & DoD. I only connect my laptop to the net when I need it, I don’t use automatic connect. Also all my personal stuff is not in the laptop & I scan weekly. I had too many HP & Dell lemons to use either one. My ROG Strix is the longest I’ve had a good laptop. Have a great & productive week.

When you chat about Amy Baughmans shop, I get so excited!! My daughter and I shop there as often as we can, she carries so much in her store, it's amazing, fabric, tools, patterns, embroidery designs, machines accessories, furntiture, thread, all great stuff. I have a serger there right now for repairs, Dennis is working on it and finding more issues with it, but he calls me to let me know what's going on and what it may cost. Her staff is wonderful, just love her too, she's so friendly and willing to talk with you about anything.
So enjoyed today's visit. And sew wish I could go on the cruise with you, but not this time. Know you will have an amazing time. You have been, and will be, so busy. I enjoy hearing all about it.

I am amazed at what you all do! I have learned from your channel that my embroidery machine can do so much more. I just finished a nativity quilt. I think it was appliqué, but I drew it our for piecing. Pretty happy with how it turned out. I added some stars and some words from Silent Night with my embroidery machine. Now I have moved on to pumpkins. Thanks for all you share and do.

I was wondering if you have an embroidery machine with design center do you need simply appliqué? I just got a 1055 and was wondering if I need the software or not or if I learn my design center I can do it on the machine. Love your videos. Thanks for taking the time to do them.
I use software on my computer and Design Center in concert with each other. They both do things the other can't.
