Oldham fan here great interview . Two absolute gems who want the best for Latics hope the fans realise it will take time . Nice to see good wishes from City fans and other supporters thank you .
It might take us Latics time to get back in the league but the main thing is that we get the spirit of the club back to where it was. There was always laughter around the Boundary Park staff and I look forward to that returning, whatever happens on the pitch comes out of the good feeling around the place. Good luck this season City.
Brilliant interview Ian I enjoyed it I am a Manchester City support of 41 years but it was great to hear about Oldham new take over because because they have been true a very hard time with bad owners so thanks for the brilliant information Ian keep up the brilliant work Ian all the best to you and yours Ian as always
Thanks for the interview Ian. I think Oldham have hit the jackpot finding Frank and the Royle's after suffering under the previous owner. Time is required to turn things around but I am sure better days are ahead for us all at Boundary Park.
Excellent video. I am sure all City fans (and supporters!) would love to see Oldham have some success as they have had years of misery. Doesn't seem that long since City and the Latics were in the same division and that was the Premier League!! Best wishes Oldham from the blue side of Manchester, I'm sure you will have better days ahead with this owner
Cambodian based City fan. Loved watching this. My family are from Oldham and the Latics were one of the first teams I saw. A victory when they scored 5 visiting family for Christmas in the 70s. My brother and I talk about them now and his kid follows them too. Glad to see they've turned a corner. Good interview.
Great interview and fingers crossed for a bright future for the Latics. Hopefully, when the world cup is being played there will be a boost in attendance from all us supporters wanting to go to a game. C'mon Oldham.
Good interview and Frank seems like a good guy, take it from this Stockport County fan though, it's a nightmare of a league to get out of, we spent 11 years outside the FL and even 6 years in the National League North, I've seen us lose at Histon, Vauxhall motors, Brackley and Oxford City, good luck with the project.
Brilliant interview, please do more. Thank you Frank you are a true inspiration and a gentleman. I cant thank you enough for saving our club. There have been times I have been close to tears in the last few years, thank god that's all over. From an Oldham fan of 50+ years. Ps good luck with the next Atlantic crossing. I would have trouble cosssing Dovestones, I dont know how you do it.
Thank you to Frank Rothwell and family and Joe and Darren Foyle I am 43 years old I remember Latics in the top division and we was a tough team to beat, you guys are bringing this team back to where they belong I know it will take time but Oldham will be back up there
Loved this interview, Frank is a breath of fresh air, reet champion 😂😂 Good luck to them and good luck to John Sheridan and the players. I hope they are promoted this season.
I worked for Frank back in the late 80s early 90s and I can say this about the bloke he walks the walk and don't the talk , your In with chance if he's on board good luck from a Man United supporter 👍.
Great interview, honest, humble and grafters. The kind of mentality that makes you want to join in and get onboard with their vision. Well run clubs do well it's a proven recipe.
Great interview Ian although I'm a city fan I love hearing football stories from what ever team or level of football so keep up the great work you do...cheers Ian.
Loved it Ian beause ,the links are thier ex managers players between city and oldham ,please if you wished add bury,Rochdale as thier local and inportant to football in greater Manchester
Those who go to work purely because they have to are represent most supporters of large and small clubs alike. Even little details like a few licks of paint can make a difference, and there is nothing wrong with City supporters going to Oldham or other local clubs.
A comment made that they’re not fans they’re supporters is kind of funny if you abbreviate that the term fans is actually short for fanatic whilst supporter imo is a someone that may not attend games as much as a fanatical fan who’s more likely labelled due attending matches more than the generic supporter..
@@jmsbwrsEnglish Oxford Dictionary.. word “fan” shortened word of fanatic/fanatical therefore imo a fanatical supporter out-ways a supporter.. City have amassed a lot of supporters across the globe since 2007 and passionately support their team.. A fan/fanatical supporter is a season ticket holder or attends games every season and on a regularly basis.!!!
Football at the top levels is reward first like paying top money on wages and transfers before you kick a ball in the game, this is why the lower league clubs can not stay alive with the game, the football league needs to get hold of the leagues and the clubs and build a future where you the players don't get the rewarded first but the club does, it's simple, start a system within the clubs that players earn the rewards with bonuses for loyalty, get a basic wage system for everybody and reward with success, get players hungry again and give them a target to hit, then reward good luck to Oldham and maybe if one club like Oldham can start a new future of a football club in this way others will follow
Dont care about any other club after what we went through in the past . nobody cared about City we were a joke club that people loved to joke about. Having said that this man has the best interests for Oldham and good luck to him
Yes he did I played with him there for 4 years when Gerry Quinn was manager, great lad Darren glad to see him doing what he’s doing Oldham ath and football will benefit for the better
good luck Oldham I hope to see you rise back up the leagues
Frank is a Old School Grafter hard work pays off,Latics couldn’t be in better hands👍

Thanks for the interview Ian. I think Oldham have hit the jackpot finding Frank and the Royle's after suffering under the previous owner. Time is required to turn things around but I am sure better days are ahead for us all at Boundary Park.

Personally I'm here as a City supporter, but think this is great content, its good to be informed about what is going on in the area.
That was a brilliant watch Ian! These guys are just what we needed to lift our spirits once again, after these horrid few years 💙🧡
Loved this interview, Frank is a breath of fresh air, reet champion 😂😂 Good luck to them and good luck to John Sheridan and the players. I hope they are promoted this season.

Brilliant idea should do it all round the region ie Mossley, Curzon Ashton, Ashton United Hyde, and Stalybridge Cetic
I hope the club bounces back up this season. Frank is a fresh air. So Frank says he got no money to spend on new players.
Brilliant interview Ian 👏 more of the same please
Ian i like this. I hope Oldham Athletic go up the Leagues in time.

Cheesy I want to meet you one day at the Etihad before a game. Keep the good work going legend 💙

A fan is someone with a meme account or an armchair fan, A supporter is someone that invests time and money into the club.

They've done more for the club in the few short months they've owned the club than Lemsagam did in years!
Did Darren play for Ashton United?
I’ve seen it reported that he has
@@CheesyForeverBlueI vaguely recall watching him, no nonsense centre half
yes he did
