- Pep talks you through his beautiful Zoë Yellow 916 Spider, what he's done to the car since he's owned it and also had a decent blast around the roads north of Peterborough.

Bellissimo video. Superb car with outstanding class. Real Alfa. Greetings from Italy.
That color makes the 916 look brilliant.
Hi Pep , fellow Peterborian here ! I had my Nero black 916 phase 2 spider for 5 years as a weekend jolly . Previous owner had it for 8 years and spent a fortune , so I reaped the benefit . It had a few niggles but nothing major until driving enthusiastically I sort of felt the engine 'wobble' . Booked it into my local garage in Woodston , on the ramp , and one of the bolts in the subframe had sheared off . It seems it had happened before because the wrong type bolt was used . Once fixed , it then started overheating - the fan would not kick in . As the road tax and insurance were due i decided to sell it . I paid £2995 for it and sold it for £2395 with known faults . The black lacquer was starting to peel and the bonnet was discoloured due to the overheating . The rear brake lights would also stick 'on' ! I don't miss it as I can always buy another - prices still low . Yours looks great .
I saw this car on the parking befere AR museum last week :)
Great video Pep, lots to do on mine to get it to that standard!
All Alfa Romeo car´s are super car´s!!!
Wheels look good
You were doing great until the sunglasses came out! haha. Nah, just kiddin' Love the car, more so, love your passion for the car(s). Thanks
So grateful to Pep for his help. I bought my Zoe about 4 weeks ago and am in love with it. Engine strut brace and silicone induction Jose and wing braces, but going to paint them yellow or chrome (them like a big tart that I am).
Still looking for this colorful version. Perfect combo with blue leather
Good video and I have seen the one at the Silverstone meet. You say the multispoke wheels are from an alfa gt. Can I just say they aren't. They are originally from a 156 Veloce which was out way before the gt. We had them on our 156 veloce sportwagon. We had a 916 spider series 2, 147 tspark and 156 sportwagon veloce. Previous to that I had a white 89 uno turbo and previous to that i had an 83 strada 105tc.
No need to change the aerial on an Alfa Spider - Who in their right mind listens to the radio when you can listen to the engine!
we agree, but sometimes these cars are about originality and working parts increase their value.
Just bought a phase 3 GTV and love the wheels - I presume you needed to add spacers for these to fit, what size did you use please 🇮🇹
Getting my t-spark back on the road next week : ) ...Looking to upgrade the headlights. Any recommendations as Classic Car LEDs are sold out currently... Merci!
😀
I am an alfisti over 40 years in my opinion the original 15 inch wheels looks more better on the spider than the gt 17 inch wheels
I like the 17 on the Giugaro 156.
You are of course entitled to your opinion but as a Gtv owner:absolutely not. Visually 17" is the perfect size in to the wheel arch. Even 18" looks good, but then the ride quality suffers. Been there done that.
Is it the same chassis than the Fiat Coupe?
Google is your friend on that one.
hmm that's a good question!
@@alfashowroom Think the only difference is the type of suspension more refined in the Alfa. But I am not a 100% sure.
Same tipo 2 platform, but different suspension. Especially the rear. The Alfa has passive rear wheel steering that makes it more keen on initial turn in. The engineer responsible for the desing was awarded "engineer of the year" award.
@@TheRealCoyote That makes me think... an AWD conversion can be possible then...
As with all alfa,s beautiful
