I got to see him up close (2 feet away) at a little dinky casino is Shelton Washington. there were hardly anyone there. The security was assholes and shooed people away that came near the stage. I was in row 4 when Lindsey stopped the show mid song and was PISSED at the security and told them to LEAVE THE FANS ALONE and he wanted us up at the stage. The security left. That was all i needed to hear and i flew up to center stage right underneath his microphone for the whole show and what a show he put on for an half empty house. I was embarrassed for my home town. We have rock and roll legend hall of famer in our podunk back yard and the little place couldnt sell out it was half full. BUT I WAS THERE!!!!! and it was awesome. If you ever get to see this man live DO IT!!!!! He is worth every penny!
I was one of those security guards there that night. I lost my job over that and became addicted to crack and meth. I got my job back 2yrs later and got an std from a hooker that frequented that casino. Ive since stopped working at casinos and listening to fleetwood Mac.
I saw Crosby Stills and Nash in Brighton UK in around 2008,and the security was stopping women getting up Dancing,Graham Nash got the biggest security guy I’d seen out from the wings who sorted the others out,and next thing there was dancing in the aisles and up the front.

Black Magic Woman was amazing too. Lindsey and Peter Green (from the original) are some of the most amazing guitar players ever.

Carrie Underwood is a talented young woman no doubt. But this isn't her thing. She is no Stevie Nicks and her voice just isn't strong enough there are parts of the song that she was hard to hear over Lindsey's voice. It was like she was drowning sounded bleak.

Weird performance. She looks absolutely terrified to be up there for the first part of the song (although who wouldn't be if you were singing next to Lindsey and NOT named Stevie). But even when she gets going on the hook, she just looks like she has no idea what she's singing about. The mouth is going, competent vocals are coming out, but she could be singing about anything. She's lucky Lindsey is pretty mellow in this performance. Which means he's intense, but not in primal scream mode.

I had my doubts but I don't hate it I kind of like Carrie's take on this song and having lindsey come out and just kill it, mad props.
@jephybean a great singer / songwriter once said, "It's a huge compliment to hear another artist do your song and keep it eternal." That's very true. She may not have added to it, bc it was perfect, but she didn't take from it... she fanned the flames to keep it burning bright. That's all.

Carrie is so good with almost everything she does, including this! However, how could anybody ever top the original? Lindsey and Stevie Nicks had such tough times together. The angst they felt in that time still rings true when they sing the song together. Outside of that emotion, Carrie did great.
How Fleetwood Mac can tour without Lindsay is just stupid,I don't care who you are, there's no comparison between Fleetwood with Lindsay and without him,if you hear them performing live without him it's obvious that his voice is missing.
Their tour did very well without him. They replaced his vocals & Mike Campbell is no slouch on guitar.
Say what you want but that girl has got to sing and play with some of the legends of music. A great honor for anyone.

This is my favorite Mac song, and they perform it with gusto- and Lindsay's easily one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. Vocally, he's starting to sound like Gene Pitney, too, oddly enough.

Nice. this predates Stevie and Taylor Swift's "meh" version of RHIANNON at the 2010 Grammys. i.m.o....and others' opinions, Stevie was fine...Taylor was lacking.

Weird performance. She looks absolutely terrified to be up there for the first part of the song (although who wouldn't be if you were singing next to Lindsey and NOT named Stevie).
But even when she gets going on the hook, she just looks like she has no idea what she's singing about. The mouth is going, competent vocals are coming out, but she could be singing about anything. She's lucky Lindsey is pretty mellow in this performance. Which means he's intense, but not in primal scream mode.
She did a great job! She reminds me of Reese Witherspoon in this vid.

Playing a cover of a classic is always a no win.....Yes you are paying respect but people will always compare it to the original....but F-them...If I was a famous Musician, I would do a cover of my fav songs because how fun would that be...F- the critics.
