Seria bom que um dia a guarda do Imperador do Brasil Dom Pedro 1 no caso *OS DRAGÕES DA INDEPENDÊNCIA* fosse aí na Inglaterra fazer uma visita a guarda da rainha são tão parecidos
that one horse in the back acting up while his friend's like "dammit Brian just hold it together would you"
The Kings guard kept their name from before the Queen took the throne. There are also troops called the Queen's guard.
Try to remember these are also active soldiers and serve around the world with the rest of the British Army. They do ceremonial duties for a limited time and it's considered an honour to do so.
Yep. Its just like being a guard of the Tomb of Unknown Soldier in the US. Only the best of the best are selected and is a high honor.
@@niccolodeparmapanini2036 Well, it's different, because the Tomb guards are ceremonial only, these guys deploy, and if this new cold war we've got going on turns into a world war, they're going to fight.
@@pickle4422 the guards are deployed, they are a type of special forces team that served in Afghan, and Iraq! So both are deployed.
@@bennettgasson671 What he means is, Queen’s/King’s guards can be recalled into active service at a moment’s notice. While Tomb Guards stay at Arlington until their time there is done.
@@bennettgasson671 The Guards are not special forces, they are regular infantry and cavalry.
Tradition, decorum, honor, loyalty, duty. Words that describe these events. Thank you and God bless the United Kingdom. From New Orleans, La.
To the pigeon inspecting the troops we salute you
I SALUTE YOU ,,,TOO.
3:14 I thought that pigeon was gonna march in front of the guards.
That one guard is SOOO nervous! Poor man 🤣
Big up to all the people just enjoying the atmosphere of being in such a historic place and not holding a camera or phone in their hands.
I agree but I also think it’s ok in some form to document a memory
You know, it's possible to do both.
Maybe the people with their cameras and phones are enjoying the atmosphere so much that they would like to enjoy it again even when they aren't there by looking at the video/photos
oooo ooo aaa aaa phones are bad 🤓
Wouldn't the point of holding one be to capture the moment? Sometimes I swear I don't understand you stone age idiots who obsess over stuff like that.
I feel sorry for the first guard who slips up and says Queens guard. 70 years is a long time.😊
The Queens guard still exists, just like how the Kings guard still exist during the Queen's 70 years on the throne.
@@mrchin7562 not in this case, the King's (Queen's) Guard and the King's (Queen's) Life Guard change their names with the title of the reigning Sovereign, these units are of other regiments on an operational posting. The King's Regiment operated as the Queen's Guard in 1992-1996 for example.
@@mrchin7562 I'm not british but i want to know does this guard "💂" still exist?
@@myself7512 yes hahaha
They seem like fake guards cos they can’t march or even now how to turn when told and they can’t even stand still this is weird coming from someone who know British military routines
That poor fella on the left commanding looks very nervous. He's shivering the whole time.
Man its so weird, I'm from and live in Wales yet I was in this very place just a month before our Queens passing, feels strange to call them Kings Guard now
Per UK news earlier today, that particular unit was the Kings Guards during the Queen’s reign. She kept their title the same after her father died.
What a steadfast rock she has been, I wish our politicians had an ounce of her integrity. She ran the course set before her and kept her vow.
And soon a new Prince of Wales
@@dsatt57 We truly are doomed with our current political class: Tory, Labour, Lib Dem, Green, etc.
I feel like they should have named them Royal Guards instead.
If the monarch was trans do they call them Transguard?
3:15 There’s always one pigeon boss dropping in to take away the limelight 😅

Wow. Those. Horses. Are. IMPECCABLY. Trained!!!
All of the accouterments and Flags bearing the Royal Cipher "ER" ( Elizabeth Regina) will have to be now changed to "CR" ( Charles Rex).
EIIR to CIIIR indeed
Carolus III Rex...
TO THE SKIIIIIIEEEEES
SEE CAROLUS RISE!
The cost in doing that will be immense.
So it's CR as in Cristiano Ronaldo? Oh maaan that's sooo cool!!! 🤣
And now all QC’s (Queen’s Counsel) are now KC’s (King’s Counsel)
I'm Irish as were my parents. Also Proud English. Born in England. She would always say, NOONE can march and drill better than the English, to that I say the Guards. This is an impeccable example. WOW what a drill !
Best in the world totally
Sentry guards in the tomb of the unknown soldier are insanely good, their changing of the guard is impeccable
@@dy3001 we’re talking about the RGG, not the Americans 😂
You look like a clown supporting a monarchy system in a modern era.
I would argue the US marines silent drill team are pretty close but I’m pretty biased. You should definitely give them a look.
I missed the part where they became King's guards. Kinda cool they all got promoted
Damn that first Officer was nervous.
Well, to be fair. He may be nervous because it's his first command in such a strict ceremony.
Yeah I noticed that as well.
Would like to see how you would do.
You know oil prices are high when even the king's guards ride horses instead of a car.
With food prices what they are, the horses are more expensive to run 😁
The uniforms are IMMACULATE
This looks impressively ceremonial. These officers deserve utmost respect for their service! Even if it is more of a tradition I guess.
The commanding (?) Guard is shaking visibly; I hope he isn't ill... Or it's his first time in command.
One question: Is there no request regarding height? The last guard is quite small, maybe a woman?
Look at the King's Guard, making sure they're neat and lined up for the inspection of the royal pigeon
Ha ha ha…
Tradition, honor, loyalty, duty.
The UK might seem like a moshpit and something of a lunie house most of the time, but they are undeniably a pilar of stability in Europe.
This here, these lads, aspire to values a lot of people in the rest of the world have forgotten.
Monarchy is not so much about who sits on the throne, it is about what it does for a country.
To have a pillar of values that can light the way in dark times. Certain things in history had to go for obvious reasons, but this is something I hope can remain.
There is a certain dignity a country will lack without it.
as someone who loves regality, this is great!
The Sovereign isn't a person, they are a physical representative of the country itself, the morals, the idea, it's easier to put your faith, your commitment, into the Sovereign rather than an idea.
@@obiitom Indeed, their role is to be the physical manifestation of an ideal, a reminder of the long heritage, and a rallying banner for the people.
Meh, bunch of taxpayer money wasted that could've helped poor families. Sure, we need expensive clownshows still...
Love the video, thank you, but you have to love the pigeon at 3.18 that just doesn't care about protocol!! Haha!!
3.19 …Love the pigeon inspecting the guards !
Thanks for the clarification.
That poor guard closest to the camera is shivering, I hope it wasn't nerves
Yeah I noticed it, he look so shaken up.
i think he is having it cold or has a cold. its the same kind of shivering, but if i look at his way of breathing id say he is sick. it looks like the kind of breathing when you feel nauseous and try not to throw up.
The original officer (or I think that’s what he is) in formation at the start was shaking like a leaf. Must be really nervous lol
Noticed that too, wonder why that was. Maybe he was emotional lol
Good job,good view and sound.
The guards job for sure too.
Is the bugler new?
Is the first time I see him.
Cheers Dan
I’m wondering if the difference is because it may be State Dress and because of the respect for the Queen’s passing
I bet they are glad to get marching just to get the circulation flowing. I noticed the first one in the row rocking on hi knees a bit. I thought he was either going to pass out or just stimulate the flow.
They take 2 hour shifts, and march up and down every so often anyway so it’s not too bad
The first one was trembling …
I know right was looking for someone to clock that. Must be insanely high pressured.
Could possibly be this guys first time doing public duties, it’s nerve wracking with all those people watching and waiting for you to mess up
You are right. Long Live the King!
God bless the Guard and the HORSES, THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE 😢😢😢😢❤❤❤❤❤
Looks like a Pidgeon officer was checking there formation
The horse even agrees with him 🤣 😂 💀
Guard on right shaking, hangover or shit scared!
Man some of these comments here are disgusting to read.
Would be so weird to hear that : Make way for the King’s guard 😬
It’s not weird lol
For a long long time, British people were getting so used to being ruled by a Queen and anything royal had been associated with the Queen. so it's rather odd that all that is changed to being associated with the King.
That is not actually true Her father George VI created the Kings Guard, in 1952 The new Queen kept the name The King's Guard, there was no change.
Incorrect my friend, you’ve got this regiment (Household Cavalry) mixed up with the Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery. The Kings Troop is the unit that held on to the name, the guys in this video from the Household Cavalry were known as the Queen’s Lifeguard, now the King’s Lifeguard.
One word: Magnificent!
Impressive drill.
Horses are happy it is over. 🐴🐴😉
guards leg shaking..prob nervous af
Great stuff!
I love the pigeon inspection lol
Is it only me that finds it a bit amusing that the kings guards have their own guards with guns?
Back in the1970's the bstrds of the ira bombed and killed horses and bandsmen (Men who deploy as medics) and today we have other bstrds in our nation just as evil, so the armed Police are a precaution worth taking. It is not amusing but very serious, and made worse by Boris the clown and priti pratel
Thats was he police and at the moment the guards are equipped with swords i think
Yep there swords
The uniform now rock real hard
Nobody gonna talk about that 5 or 4 foot tall soldier 😂
Another impeccable turnout as the guys always are. ! I have always loved the look of the tall boots, but was never sure of how it affected the ride while in the saddle. . They tell me it doesnt interfere at all which is good.
3:15 that fockin pigeon be ballin
Ser Beristen Selmy, Ser Gerald Hightower
Just watching them slam their feet down on the concrete is making my feet groan and moan!!!
What camera 🎥 are u using may I ask? The quality is superb!
Pigeon was doing the line inspection
Need to move the public back out of the way, these soldiers are working soldiers performing a duty, not some tourist attraction,
What is the differnence between the guards with red and the ones with white plumes (?) on the helmets?
They are from different regiments. The red coats are the Life Guards and the blue are the Blues and Royals.
Red plumes are the Household Cavalry and white are the Life Guards
After looking it up trumpeters in the Life Guards also wear a red plume
Also there are no sgts in the household cavalry they are all corporals so an RSM is a Regimental Corporal Major but holds the actual rank of warrant officer class 1 or WOI and the Squadron Corporal Major is a warrant officer class 2 or WOII the equivalent of a SSM (Squadron Sgt Major )
@@evangiles4403 Thank you for your answer! An old childhood friend, who's mother was a very close friend with my mum, was the rider on Sefton. Sefton, who became a symbol of the IRA bombings. I believe he was in Household Cavalry. We were supposed to go I watch him pass from the Park but were delayed because my Nana had to stop for tea. And we heard the news on a tiny TV in the cafe. Michael became a hero by surviving with his horse, Sefton. Unfortunately, his life went to a dark place after that and ended in a horrible tragedy but I still remember him as the friend I knew in Cornwall.
@@evangiles4403 The Household Cavalry consists of the Blues and Royals (blue coats, red plumes), and the Life Guards (red coats, white plumes).
The red plumes are the Blues and Royals, the white plumes are the Lifeguards. Both units make up the Household Cavalry Regiment, there is essentially no difference between them nowadays other than the colours of their uniforms and other small touches
This is better cause man those queen guard hats are unacceptable٫ not cause of looks but its a heat stroke on your head waiting to happen
The King’s Guard still wear the bearskin hats
So COOL 🙌 Love it
Those boots look uncomfortable
What happened at 2:15? Who said “ow?”
Now this is a good trailer and not a trailer which shows the full plot.
R.I.P Queen Elizabeth we love you and we will never forget you you’re the best Queen we could ever have we love you and always will 🥺💓💗🥰💕♥️🥺💝💘😊😘❤️❤️💞😊
as long as Monarch eexist there , there are Guards will be Guarding that system .
Would love to know how the patting of the horse before dismounting originated
I was told it is to stop them falling backwards when dismounting and the horse learns when the soldier is about to dismount, not sure if that is true
3:14 Arrival of a Pigeon
Nice the traditional parade.
There was even a little kid with a realistic costume . The upper guard didnt notice .
anyone else notice the guy on the end shaking?
Look at how many people stopped for them
Does the drills differ a lot from the previously queen guards?
No, the drills remain identical
Amazing discipline !!
A moment of silence for the giant head thing. Rip
Swing those as, lovely boys!
Those policemen standing on the sides have guns !! Serious big guns!! Like machine guns!! Something so beautiful has to be protected. Very sad world.
This guards are like decoration pieces 😂or something they can’t even walk properly what type of guards they are 😂😂😂
Posture gentlemen!
that officer's legs have been shaking the whole time. I wonder what's going on with him
Probably his first guard, he is probably nervous if he commits any mistake that is what I think at least
Looks like the real kings guard is carrying a auto submachine gun
I mean, I wouldn't like a cavalry sword to the face, but yeah I guess you can't have too many weapons on hand.
Kings guard reminds me of Game of Thrones 😅
i do wonder tough is it like a wallet on the back of the guards ? or was there originally something else stored in it
Awesome
Nice coronation of the kings guards
Make way for the kings guards!!!
SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As a US Marine, their drill is dreadful. It's lacks discipline and precision.
The small one 😂
......You're a week or so too late, they changed the name from queens to kings guard during the first salute when the first proclamation was announced taking prince charles to king charles.the officer in charge then called kings guard to attention.

only 5ft 2 for women

@@Sevoverkill thank you. I didn't know what it was for females. Still no reason for them to be disrespected by others though
@Real Aiglon I didn't say it was right or wrong, or whether it was fair or not. I suppose they have to have the difference if they want to recruit females, I doubt their are a lot of females almost 6ft wanting to join. Maybe there are less differences for other regiments, that are more inclined to do tours of duty, where these are to guard??? I don't know. Just my thoughts on it

I wonder if there is a height requirement to serve in the King's Guard?
You would imagine so,the squirt at the front makes it look more like a comedy sketch.
same, I belive we refer to one particular gentelman or lady
No, there isn’t
There was at one point that requirement was removed
It was 6’ 2” but was lowered to 5’ 10”
Can't say I'm the biggest fan of the color black on their uniform. I liked the Queen's Guards colors of red more. Though, I do think that Blue would better fit Kings Guard.
Uniforms haven't changed. There's two cavalry regiments, one has dark blue tunics and one has red.
This uniform was used during the queens reign too. No uniform has changed
No uniform has changed, these were used for the Queen’s reign as well. Also they’re dark blue
They are dark blue, I just think it's not coming out too well on camera
Well thanks for stating the obvious.
Wow they changed their helmet
