Power to you Irshad, I'm for "Multi culturalism" in terms of learning about other cultures for better understanding them but not in terms of "tolerating" or "accepting" or not "criticizing" other cultures or aspects of other cultures. Fight & Love on! #Solidarity

it's really sad when you look at the comments on some of the videos of her debating islamists on her youtube channel.

For years I have wanted to do a podcast / radio show and one of the segments I wanted to do was going to be: "Non-Christians who are better Christians than I am!" She has always been on my list of people to feature. More people need to know voices like this,- articulate people who communicate with reason and moral courage,- exist. In our world of political "discourse" via Twitter and comment sections, and the rise of right-wing extremism and violence everywhere, they are among the few reasons I have any hope left that hate won't win.

Irshad, you are brilliant! She said she teaches at NYU, right? What does she teach? The more I see of her, the more I want to take her classes. I'm politically progressive & it drives me nuts the amount of group think that takes place on the Left in the U.S., & the way no one is ever "pure" enough for them. They will turn (viciously) on Bernie Sanders or anyone else if he or she disappoints them even once. Worse still, they accuse the DEMOCRATS of toeing the party line, when they are bobbleheads about their pet issue(s) and associate w/ people and seek out media that confirms their already existing beliefs. It takes EFFORT to wrestle with issues, it takes LOVE to forgive the past, and it takes MORAL COURAGE to say unpopular things when the rights and safety of others are in jeopardy.

"Violence is the language of the inarticulate." We ought to keep this in mind next time you see violent demonstrations. Irshad has a point in promoting discussion, but our schools should stop shutting people up for they are only plugging up what needs to be articulated.

What is to be a feminist? For me is somebody that defends the femenine, in women as in men! I have a dislike for macho men, and a deeper dislike for macho women.

I have been following Irshad for over 2 years now and in every interview and debates I've seen I always find her insights clear, concise and steming from great knowledge and experience of Arab culture/religiosity.

Multiculturalism leads to misery spread equally.
when you come to the United States, you need to become an American, which means to embrace American culture. speak english. you are free to practice your religion as long as it does not harm others. most important, don't try and force your culture upon existing native Americans, you don't like our traditions and culture ?
you are free to leave !

when a muslim changes her citizenship to america, to which she should pledge her allegiance to? to her religion or her country? that is where troublesome pattern comes from. America must be wary on this wishy washy trojan horse.

When refugees came from Sri Lanka people called them: the blacks
Years latter they call them: ''Such a nice people''
