Thank you for your kind words. 2 years and many thousands of miles later bouncing down the road, its still solid as a rock

I thought they had wood backing in the walls. Like 3/8"? How did you know it was metal and to use magnets?

I have never owned a trailer with a wood TV backer. They have always been steel. But that could be because I have always owned fiberglass skin and aluminum frame trailers. Never stick and tin

I read Grand Design recommends placing a piece of plywood in between the mount and the wall to give the mount more surface to bite. Overkill??

I have not read that. Do you have a link to GD recommendation? There is a steel plate that the mount is now bolted to. I can't imaging a piece of wood would improve that

@@MikeJordanUnCamplicated It was actually a comment from a reader on the GD owners forum. I was thinking the same. Perhaps overkill. Since you have had no issues, I feel confident doing it the way you did it. I have the same mount and actually mounting a smaller TV.

I have a grand design pre drilled my holes and the screws aren’t sinking in. What a mess this has been for me.

Did it hold down the road???

I've got about 1,500 miles on it now. The last trip the road was so bad i thought I was going to brake a rim, or spring, or something. Everything is in tact including the TV

I watched this because I intend to mount a fan on the wall instead of a TV.

5/32nd I think. I almost positive I mentioned the size in the video though. And the size was in the mount directions
