Awesome review. I hope GMT will continue with the Card Conquest System and publish other games utilizing the mechanics. My personal preference would be to have Napoleonic warfare as the next offering.
My friend has this game, and has asked me to read the rules. He said that there's a 2nd edition rules book that was released back in October, that's available to download as a PDF at the GMT site. Hopefully, the 2nd edition corrects and clarifies the rules.
Nice review guys, but i just went to GMT website and the game is $69 bucks without shipping. Maybe i'm just cheap but that seems high to me. I'm interested in it but will have to past unless i can find a better deal.
Terrible game and a cautionary tale. Rules so bad no one could play. GMT made new rules and mailed them out but it was too late. I sold my copy for $5. A disaster and made me question gmts review process
2:15 you have apparently a ghost in the house and you are too busy with the review to notice...

There is a 2ed rules, i got it sent from GMT free of charge as I compalined about my first edition rulebook.
It’s nice to see war games moving away from hex/counter/move/attack/defense rules.
would you describe this game as 2 player, Triumph And Tragedy Lite ?
Thx for the Review 👍
This seems like a blast. Minor stuff that should be easy to fix (reprint or print out a new edited player aid card).
Great review. You had me and then....Maybe not so much. I'll wait for V2. Sounds like a good system that was rushed to meet a corporate deadline.
Thanks for the review - looks an interesting game; I can see this being played in my house. Don't mind preserving with the rules.
Another great review. Thanks guys!

You're not dense. The rules need a fair bit of work.
I will wait for an update.
You made the right choise.
If original card games with "cards-as-the-board" could be written in ~40 mini pages ... then this rule book should be way better.
enjoyed the review.
Someone’s at your door....
