This, and your part two, are really well done for helping to teach the basics of the game, and far better than any of the other videos I have tried to watch (and where I feel the emphasis is on the reviewer's face or ego or both, rather than the game itself). I appreciate the time and effort you put into these.
I've been on the fence on this game for a while now, but your videos have made me grab it, as well as the expansion (Iron and Rust) for its solo side. Thank you for making an engaging video that shows how fun this game looks to play - I can't wait to get my copy!
Thank you, really appreciate the comment. Also got the expansion but never played with it, especially haven't tried the "solo mode" yet; maybe I will look at it at some point in time! Hope you enjoy your game! :)
Thank you so much for doing this run through , I would certainly have missed this game but after seeing you demonstrate it , looks like a must. Cant wait for part 2.
~ I was told that my order for this game (and expansion) has been delayed, thank goodness I can count on you Marcus, GOD bless ya for a "short (more or less) walkthrough session of GMT's "Time of Crisis"...
Thank you! Really curious about the expansion - the base game is definitely great but after a couple of plays it really need some more variety in cards (especially for the "deck building" aspect).
Thanks for the video. The rules were not crystal clear on the mechanics of what actually happens to played cards and when I could get my hands on the new cards I had bought. Here is the answer Also the answer to "Why would I want to trash any card?" Great
@@realjplay Playing the game it was immediately clear why you should trash cards. Otherwise the discards blocked the new cards you buy. Also played the expansion as here in Italy the game has been published with the expansion in the box with the base game!!
Thanks, Mark, but according to my rules you also place a militia: "Each player places his at-start Governor in the 1 space on the support track and his at-start General with one full-strength Legion and a Militia in the provincial capital space of his selected province."

Thanks for your comment! :) Will definitely find some time this week to continue playing (and recording).

~ any plans to acquire/play the expansion for us?
@@realjplay did you pick up the expansion?
@@MikeStoddart Actually yes, I did! Haven't played it yet though and the AI looks quite involved...

Thanks for your comment, David. Have you played the game yet? Do you own the expansion too?

Good work - very clear and understandable!
Thanks for watching along! :)
Looking forward to next video
Thanks so much, John! :)
Can this game be solo'd? Really find it interesting.
Indeed there are automas that come with the expansion but honestly I never tried those as they are pretty involved. Maybe I should try them here...?!
@@realjplay Yes, please do so. I will find a copy of the game + expansion.
Great video, thank you for this
Thanks, Manuel! I really hope I can continue with part 2 this weekend... simply too much going on :-(
One correction to setup. You don't start with a Militia in your starting capital. You only get a General and a Legion.

Dude why do you have so many holes in your wall? Lol
That's post-modern basement chic ;-)
