wow. I didn't know the human race still had the capacity to create content this good. This is the most clear and efficient conveyance of information without any BS that I've seen in any youtube video about anything in the past decade. This is how you get likes and subscriptions.
This is perfect! No long intros, life stories or any other time wasting. Clean audiovisual explanations leave very little need for additional questions. You earned another subscriber, mate!
I guess it's a way of making sure that builds with a strong focus on CC aren't useless against bosses. You could basically have burst builds that need to output 90% of their damage during the stagger phase because they require the enemy to be under a certain CC effect in order to deal full damage (Freeze comes to mind). Quite an interesting design choice that makes for some new strategies we've never seen in a Diablo game. I like it.
Thanks for not resorting to clickbait, and getting to the point. The algorithm is a garbage self-fulfilling prophecy. Have good content and the viewers will come. This is the video i will be recommending for new players.
THANK YOU. I have been looking this for every god damn guide or D4 website and no one bothered to explain all it with actual video or examples. Most have only written few known status effects. Respect this will no doubt will be watched over the time for all new players who start to play D4
New pre-order player here, never played the diablo series before and loved the beta. This video right here is a godsend, I didn’t even understand what I was looking at on the screen half the time when I was playing, this just blew my mind!🤯
Thank you for such a clear and precise explanation of gaming mechanics with out all the drama, click-baiting and crying so many tubers project today. Excellent presentation and to the point!
I was referred to this by a Redditor and my wife and I are not sorry we watched. This was really, incredibly, easy to understand and follow along. If only Deckard Cane were this informative, I'd definitely have "stayed awhile" to listen. Thank you for this compendium!
I just found this a month after it released and i have over 500 hours played at this point and I STILL found this video extremely helpful and an kicking myself for not seeing this weeks ago... soooooo goood!
Dude this is hands down the most useful video I’ve come along after watching probably close to 100 videos. Special thanks to all the detailed visuals in the video as well, that must have been quite the effort to put together but it’s ooh so useful! Big thumbs up! 👍
This is how you gain subscribers ... well done my dude! I would imagine you should get more than your current 3.32k you have! Keep that type of content up!
Underrated comment here. This is probably the best D4 video and most important so far. It doesn’t deal with criticism or opinion. It really talks about the game. And since it’s just within 2 weeks til release, this makes it even more vital to know these things! You get a sub from me bro!
among all other videos explaining about how fortify works. I finally understands it here. others just miss mentioning the thin red circle. or maybe mentioned it, but not ilustrated like your video. thank you.. easy sub
Wow. An actual content creator instead of having idiotic intros, obvious filler/repeats or opinion inserts. Will link this vid as and when people need a reference. Good job, mate
Dang, awesome video. Kept the flow going without getting caught up on random stuff and extremely informative. Will definitely be rewatching this a few times before launch.
As a newer Diablo player this was amazing to hear. I'm still a lil confused on that lucky hit stuff and the paragon board but atleast it gave some detail behind it. Subscribed and liked 👍🏾
Excellent video. Didn't understand the UI for Barrier and Fortify until now. Minor quibble, I would have mentioned in the section about Legendary Aspects, that some of them roll with a range on the Legendary effect while if there is a Codex version of that Aspect it will always imprint with the lowest value on the roll.
4:06 small but important correction: you cannot imprint any aspect on every item. Aspects are divided into offensive, defensive, utility, resource and mobility. Depending on the type, certain items can be enchanted with the aspect, while others can't. For instance, an offensive aspect can only be placed on weapons, rings, amulets and gloves. A second correction is, you can enchant legendary items as well, you will simply overwrite the aspect of that item if you do.
@4:17 you specifically called imprinting on Rare items, but this also applies to imprinting on top of legendary items with existing Aspects as well. Overall great video summarizing a lot of these game mechanics.
The speed of this info stream staggered me! Nice. Also, maybe you should add stagger to the crowd control title. I know it is part of it, but also it's own little speciality.
5:20 Just to make things clear: You do not join a group of players. There are other players there who will fight alongside you, but you are not automatically placed in a group together. Just to set the record a little straight on the wording from the video. Besides that...thank you for the video. Great work!
True! Thanks! The word I was looking for was "instance" - you join an instance of other players. This does allow you to check out their gear and stuff, but it's not technically a Group/Party 👍
Fortify and Fortified is more nuanced than how you explained it. The life shaded with Fortify has your Fortify damage reduction regardless of whether you’re Fortified (life < fortify). This matters because if you get a large hit that will reduce your life into your Fortified life, the part of the hit that eats into the fortified health will have DR applied. Like if you had 1000 life with 800 fortify, base 10% DR, and took a 300 damage, the first 200 would be taken as normally, but the last 100 would be reduced by 10% reducing the total damage taken to 290. Being Fortified, fortify > life, is more of a status that is useful if skills and powers are conditional on being Fortified. You have potential to have more life that can be fortified if you heal up. Thought I would make this distinction because some players believe having Fortify while not being Fortified is a waste which isn’t that case. It is indirectly temporary HP through damage reduction.
I would have explained it as: Fortify toughens a portion of your life, represented with shading, with additional damage reduction. Once your life drops below your fortify, you have the fortified status.
Honestly this is the most helpful video anyone has made about Diablo 4 so far.
Glad to hear that man. Took me a while to edit together! 😅
totally agree. thanks for not wasting time with this either buddy. this was straight to the point and hit everything I wanted to know.
Was going to post the same thing, no doubt.
100% 🤙
Agree! An actual important video not some random rant.
wow. I didn't know the human race still had the capacity to create content this good. This is the most clear and efficient conveyance of information without any BS that I've seen in any youtube video about anything in the past decade. This is how you get likes and subscriptions.
Hahah wow what a compliment for a Diablo video!! I'll take it. Thank you!
This is great! Instead of repeating content or reading twitter, this is properly presented, useful info for everyone.
Fast, to the point, no BS , and under 10 minutes?
You got a new sub my friend, and take this like too while were at it.
No annoying intro, no plea for like or subscribe, no horrible music track. THIS should be the benchmark for instructional videos, bravo!!!
Quick. Concise. To the point. No clickbait like every other UA-cam channel with Diablo 4 right now. Perfect.
Great video. Thank you.
Boom! Thanks Ras
Best, most concise presentation of D4 Info. Bookmarking this one for sure. Thanks for the video Mattias!
Awesome to hear that. Thanks Tylicius!
Dear youtube algorithm. Please promote this guy. He doing his job for passion, not money or views.
The biggest D4 youtuber channels should learn from you as you are the first one to explain these terms. Thank you.
Then they won't make shit ton of money making 40 separate videos instead. So it won't ever happen.
Wow this is the best information for time ratio any video I’ve seen to Diablo 4 has. Thanks for the awesome job!
Best D4 video to date. Incredibly helpful, quick, non-clickbaity.
This is perfect! No long intros, life stories or any other time wasting. Clean audiovisual explanations leave very little need for additional questions. You earned another subscriber, mate!
Finally! Someone who gets the concept of brevity and also not treating their audience like idiots. Great vid.
Great video! I didn't know that bosses, when staggered, counted as being CC'd by everything. That's nice to know.
I guess it's a way of making sure that builds with a strong focus on CC aren't useless against bosses. You could basically have burst builds that need to output 90% of their damage during the stagger phase because they require the enemy to be under a certain CC effect in order to deal full damage (Freeze comes to mind). Even world bosses!
Thanks for not resorting to clickbait, and getting to the point. The algorithm is a garbage self-fulfilling prophecy. Have good content and the viewers will come. This is the video i will be recommending for new players.
Dude by far best d4 video to date. No bs either, all straight to the point. Awesome video format

One of the very very few D4 videos that did not waste my time at all, wonderful job
This is how you gain subscribers ... well done my dude! I would imagine you should get more than your current 3.32k you have! Keep that type of content up!

Straight to the point, unlike a lot of other content creators that jabber on forever, amazing guide my dude, keep up the great content.
OMG i found the rarest gem of all the UA-camrs. Well expained even with the things hard to understand like Lucky Hit or Paragon boards.
If I'm the rarest gem then you must Socket me into your best piece of Gear!
@@MattiasTheGamer You bet i will. Looking forward for new contents bro.
This is the single best video I have seen that describes Diablo 4. Cheers!
This is the best video explanation for Diablo 4 mechanics.
The only helpful d4 clip on the internet. Well done.
Short and informative, no bs with additional words to prolong video length.
exceptional content. Well made video. Clear, concise, and helpful. Thank you for this.
I actually struggled to find a video/post like this. Thank you for actually having a brain and making on point content. Chers !
Wow. An actual content creator instead of having idiotic intros, obvious filler/repeats or opinion inserts. Will link this vid as and when people need a reference. Good job, mate
great video! never played Diablo before and I am so hyped for this release!
This info should be in-game, thanks a lot.
Maybe 50-80% of it is... haha, just hard to find or spread out in different sections!
Thanks for a clear and concise explanation of terms in Diablo 4. It's helped me already :)
GG, good Sir - I don't see such helpful, straight to the point videos often anymore, this format has honestly surprised me a bit...subbed :)
Newcomer to the series, I feel like I understand how to build my first char now when dozens of other videos left me confused. Thank you!!
best D4 video explaining and simplify all the feature
Dang, awesome video. Kept the flow going without getting caught up on random stuff and extremely informative. Will definitely be rewatching this a few times before launch.
Thanks Jon
Fantastic video, even after playing all 3 betas I didn't know half of the info you put in this video. Straight and to the point, I love it.
For real, same here before doing the research. I just want to play the game ;D Thank you David!
Amazing video! The biggest D4 content creators on UA-cam fall behind you. This is what people are looking for. Keep up the good work
I’ve been looking for something like this and you delivered the perfect video. Thank you
I knew all this but for a lot of people this is very informative. I will share it to people I know. Thank you.
Straight to the point, no bs. 10/10 good video.
Great vid, especially useful for players who have missed out on playing the betas
As a new player to Diablo this was very helpful. Thanks!!!
Bless you for a concise and informative video. Not even stretched out unnecessarily to 10minutes!
The lucky hit thing needs a point in the stat window where the actual proc % is displayed... this is insane xD
banger of a video... thank the lord for people like yourself
No BS video, love it. Very well done.
Best informative diablo 4 video I have watched, and I have watched a lot. Keep up the great work dude. You just won yourself +1 subscriber

your videos are incredibly well made man, excited to watch your channel boom when d4 drops
Thanks man, we'll see! I appreciate you watching
I stayed a while and listened. Didn't regret, thank you!
thumbs up for not having a 30 second techno intro and outro tbh (yes im old)
I'm not surprised that it took twice as long to explain lucky hit as it did any other term.
Yeeeah for real, I could've left the Advanced example out but I thought at least this way it might leave less questions behind!
Unbelievably informative! Kudos on the great work and thank you for distilling this for those of us getting back into the ARPG/D4 scene
Glad to hear it!

Men you doing better job than the blizzard itself at explaining their own game
3:27 You absolutely can my man. I used Decrepify on him to slow him 40%. Maybe they changed it from previous beta, but you could do it on server slam.
This video was so helpful I had to comment and tell you that. Thank you as a first time player of this game it helped greatly.
Thank you mate, this will be very helpful for all new players out there.
Im new at Diablo. Many thanks for the video dude. I was scared with all of this stuff
