Looking forward to hearing the progress! I should probably try harder to food journal but am 2/3 of the way through marathon block and love “recovery meals” 😂
haha yea! I mean journalling food doesnt mean you're doing it to loose weight. You can also do it to see if you are taking enough and thus recovering enough
Great video, interested to hear in part 2 what kind of calorie deficit you might aim for in order to lose weight over that period of time and what your go to pre & post training snacks are.
Great suggestion! Will write it down for a next vlog. As it isnt as straight forward as you think it is, and it changes day to day based on the training I have that day.
Does weight even matter if you're training well and eating healthy? Olav Aleksander Bu keeps saying it's not important and can be counterproductive - which is really challenging my internal biases. It's an interesting topic.
Well there is a difference between ‘race weighted’ and Christmas kilo’s. The boys from Olav train 30 hours+ a week. I (and most age groupers) 20 hours and less. You cant unlimitedly stuff youself up without consequences. So its about knowing what you are doing (input calories / food and the correlated training.) and thats something i want to go in about. Olav aka bu says a lot but doesnt give any real insights
I am at 95-96 kg strongly built so not much to lose, I have 187 cm, did IM 10:55 h and Half IM 4:47 h, my best half marathon time is 1:39 h, I feel I would be much faster if I lose 10 kg, but lowest I remember I had was 89 kg when I was much younger, now I am 41 years old. Its ok just saying 😅
haha yea thats not bad, you're tall as well. Also, if your diet is healthy, you're training hard and are relatively lean.. then you're good to go and I wouldnt worry about the weight.
title of video wasn't = to the content. Didn't start chatting about nutriton until half way through and only for about 2 min. I was hoping for 7-8 min of content on the topic starting withing 30 seconds of intro. What I did love was the before and after pics because it shows you know a lot about it! Maybe include race results at different body types or sizes? Ps big fan, woof woof, trying to be helpful in feedback, not critical.
Loved the fact that you signaled your turn on the bike even if there is probably no one that can keep up with your pace on the cycle path
Haha, you never know 😂😂👍🏼👍🏼
Video on your strength/ injury prevention training would be ace. Great watch again Tom.
Yea I will have one about strength coming up later. I would do it to get ready for the beach rather than tri specific to be honest haha
Really cool angles on the bike! Love it
thanks mate

@@tomoosterdijk Heel nuttig, ook om voldoende binnen te krijgen rondom zware trainingen, daar ging ik nogal eens de fout in.
