this guy is a crook and im glad every day canadians get a chance to see how unions think and operate and what they are like. This guy is dumb, an intelligent person would atleast try to disguise their laziness and corruption.
Fun accusations you made with 0 supporting evidence
Says a guy who is a Canadians fan @@searats20
Sounds like pure greed
It's all greed, used Christmas as leverage.
I have learned so much about CP and CUPW since this strike started, and my opinion on all of this is: "Cut the tree from the top!". Reduce the CEO's huge salary as well as the directors' etc. Reduce their bonuses that are 30-50% of their salaries! And after you reduce workers' whatever you want to reduce!
This interviewer is a hero
Go to work
I’ll accept there 25% wages when everyone on Canada gets 25% as well
They are a joke. This job takes no skill..
Canada post, please hire new employee to fulfill these workers's jobs, so that you can push away the negotiation forever.
It has been long enough and you are losing the trust from your customers.
What we got 7 weeks since 1980!!! I think Canada post should release names of all these workers to pubic and no employer should hire them ever.
The more the union talks, the more they lose support. Tone deaf.
This guy is such a smug and bad person.
Many Canadians have not been able to take 7 weeks of TOTAL holidays in the past 3 years combined. 7 week a year, and PLDs. SICK!!
Why hasn't the government long done away with personal leave days..??..
No one deserves any. U need a PLD, so go ahead, but it's unpaid.
Unions are slowly ruining this country.
In the UK some kid at 22 years old mopping floors gets 6 weeks vacation plus stat holidays. Not from a union job. Not accrued from years of service. It's automatic because that's the labour laws they have in the country.
Stop attacking your fellow workers. We're all being screwed in Canada. Direct your anger to the bosses who take multiple vacations a year, get big bonuses and then tell workers there's no room for raises or vacation.
You're closer to these postal workers than you are the bosses, recognize who's side you're on.
7 weeks of holidays is after 28 years....
@@stratford374move to the UK then
@@JamesThorlakson-ky7xd Lol. Imagine seeing other countries get 2 out of 10 months off work and viewing that as a bad thing. Such a bootlicker thing to say.
You can keep simping for bosses and billionaires, I'll keep supporting workers as we fight for fair wages and benefits. Remember you're much closer to the postal works than you are the bosses!
this guy is a joke... trying to milk the last buckets out of CP.. seems unfair on the face of it.. how can he say - lets not talk what's already there in collective agreement.. why not?
When they will be able to cover for so long backlog?
"In 1988 we took 0% for the extra week of vacation"... this guy on why 19% is what they deserve, even with pension matching.
A job for life and that isn't enough lol.
Time to bring you into the real world along with the 55,000 workers
That is what happens during negotiations!
Ronald Regan fired air traffic air controllers who thought they were indisposable.
Two wrongs have never made a right !
Fire all Canada Post CEOs no parachutes no severances
As for the members don't like your jobs Amazon Fed Ex and a few other courier companies are looking to hire.
17.20 to 22.20 an hour.
And you must be able work your shifts
The rotating strikes in December 2018 is why CPC lost Amazons business.
False. They lost the contract in 2021. Canada Post literally told Amazon they couldn't keep up with their demand.
when you know boat is sinking or house is on fire, you try to grab as many bags as possible before it completely goes down.👍
13 personal days is still a benifet and has everything to do with their employment. they could always strike to have those days rescinded.
when revenue goes up they should get part of it, same then, if revenue is down they should lose some money. this guy is delusional
If you watched the video, 13 personal days is the LEGAL minimum for federal employees so, that can't be taken away. It's the bare minimum. Oh, and postal employees make less than couriers from other companies such as purolator and FedEx. Oh, and CP management continues to get raises...so much for "bleeding money" (they use their investments into theirbown company as "losses")
7 weeks of vacation... wow...
After 28 years....
it's a stressful job lol
Transition surgeries and 7 weeks 13 personal days Your ship has sailed !!!
I say let them go under.
Most of the employees from the union cadre will agree with the offer given by the management and work as they need a job to pay their bills and support their family.
Canada post management is unqualified to run the company
As a business owner, Canada post is one of the if not the most expensive carriers for price rates. I know they deliver to mail boxes in Canada which they may also provide which is much better but ups and private have much cheaper rates we know this
I have yet to be impressed with anything this guy says. He's just full of mudslinging and dumb statements.
Not sure how they can be losing money with how much they charge for shipping. And a 25% mark up on that? What a joke.
We need our postal service back.
They want more money if the corporation’s revenue increases but are they willing to take a cut if the corporation loses money? Bet they would not.
Ask the ceo and upper mgt that. Their answer F u I’m not taking a pay cut even though my decisions have lead to all these loses.
@@robertvandolder8529 you can’t blame upper management for everything wrong with CP… keep in mind union is restricting management from managing the business the way it should be run. Case in point - less mail delivery to reduce overhead, increase parcel delivery including weekends without having to pay 1.5x or double for labour… just look at the competitors… CP can’t keep up market share, you guys are all gonna be laid off… enjoy your 19% raise while you still have a job…
Raise rates to cover costs
they do have an idea how to fix it...stop giving in to ridiculous union demands
7 weeks of vacation AND 13 personal days. Nearly 2.5 months of PTO…and more raises and less work…unbelievable…
Leave them out until they feel more reasonable.
They're aware and they don't care
This guy is a clown.
With this guy negotiating on behaof of CUPW, I can confidently say that this strike is gonna go on and on and on and on and on! This whining about the 25% increase in pricing and CP not giving them a share of that is pissing me off. Can't he understand that the price increase is in part to be able to maintain the money, benefits and perks they are already paying the workers? They are striving to stay in the game at all. It would be different if Canada Post was already raking in the money with profits spilling over and then they greedily raise prices while grinning and rubbing their hands together and saying; none for you losers!
Get em Vassy!
Shut down Canada post
Sell it off
Canada Post is done over shut it Down! These fools can go work at Amazon lol
I DO NOT support this strike...making enemies of the postal workers. You give unions a bad name.
what about the seniors they get average of maybe 2%,they pay the high costs of food and basics. You can bet these top bosses of both CP and labor union aren't suffering? I love the mail sure increase the cost small parcels by small rates every say 6 months so small business can adjust .Just opinion from a older Canuck which depends on mail. Thanks for uploads.
Sure, wish I got 7 weeks holidays
I hope we as a taxpayers not footing the bill ?
Replace them with Carrier Pigeons.
who the fk gets 7 wks vacation plus 13 personal days totalling 9 wks paid leave? oh ya, federal workers getting paid via taxes n tax payers
Canada Post is not funded with tax payer dollars
Hopefully the the workers feel the pinch over Christmas
Entitled workers when all of them do not even need a degree/diploma that they spend 2-5 years studying to get the job
Abolish Canada Post and start over without a union
Oh stupidity so a company earn more money all employees should get a share.... oh my hope really cp goes private
Does Jim know CP is losing customers 20% year over year? Raise the price won't help. Definitely won't achieve increase 25% of revenue in January...
Just greed at this point.
So it will be run into the ground?
Jim take a hike
End the strike!!!
