actually. imagine one thin transparent digital screen in front of mirror. when you pass the current the screen goes dark green. when no current it remains transparent.

Not a safety but more or less comfort oriented feature.
Cars with price tag above 20lac must have this feature.
But nowadays few cars and suvs under that also equipped with this feature.

Benefit is simple, the headlights behind your car don't hurt your eyes. You don't get bright reflection of rear car's light. it dims rear light so much that, you can even see headlight bulb of car behind you.

I have option befor working but now not working
There might be wiring issue. Did you had any upgrade recently ? Like dashcam or something ?
Can it be install in place of simple mirror, is it have battery or conect to car. Manual is good or auto, which is best for tata tiago, where it will get, site?
Yes. You can install new auto mirrors from aftermarket service centers.
It connects to car wiring.
Auto is always good as you need not to worry about glares at all.
If you are good in wiring you can go for DIY setup on your own. I will post you purchase link.

to me there is no green light at all, auto button does not seem to do anything? What are possible solutions?
There are 2 possiblities
1. Any of the related Fuse blown
2. Wiring got damaged due to rat bite.
I must say it's little tricky to find out as there is no direct user access to this part of wiring. You will definitely need an expert to solve this puzzle. Maybe during next routine servicing .

Can't tell you precisely for s-cross as this is the built in future for ciaz Rs sports version
Is there a way make it dark permanently. I only drive at night and love it but sometimes it doesn’t always work.
There is simple hack for it. Just have small light glowing in cockpit. This will keep anti glare always on at night.

No, behind you. Light must glow on the mirror but should not disturb your visibility
Or better put a tape on the back sensor..
By taping rear sensor, you will activate the night mode permanently.

The default mode for this mirror is ON for every car start.
If you want to switch it off. Just press "AUTO" BUTTON 🔘 once.

Must be jammed. Try 2-3 drops of brake oil in ball socket behind the mirror and try to move.

What if we wear sunglasses in the night.
I tried that too. But the issue rises due to not reflective things on road like black dogs or vehicles without working tail lights and all.
Basically sunglasses are designed to suppress highlights and midtones in light coming towards your eyes.
But unfortunately it will also impact on shadows
And 80% of our night driving is judgemented by shadows and reflections. So SMARTDrive will not recommend sunglasses 🕶️ at night.
Better we get this awesome technology installed in our car.
In premium cars this is also installed in side mirrors too...
