I was 12 years old at NAMM and I saw him about 25 feet away with his crew and I went “THATS ZAKK WYLDE” and he looks at me and points at me and says “WHATTTTSUPBROTHA” it was so fucking cool.
Ozzy has been incredibly lucky throughout his career with the musicians he's worked with, but especially with his guitarists. Iommi, Rhoads and Wylde
It’s a special skill he has, to always find great musicians!

Saw Ozzy with Zakk many years ago in Seattle...Zakk must of been drunk as shit and he collapsed on stage in the middle of a song or solo, can't remember, but kept playing, laying on the ground. Crew ran over from the side of the stage to help pick him back up but he just kept pushing them away and kept playing. A minute or so later, he got back up, all while playing and kept the show going. Love this man

Finn Kellmurray Yep!! I went to one of the best and worst shows all in one night! Opening act was DMX. Who I didn't sit through most of it I went to the smoking area. And I don't smoke. Actually I'm allergic!Lol. He ran long because he decided to have a 20 prayer service before...GODSMACK!!!! What a tool! I'd go to church of I wanted to listen to that. Godsmack came on and were like ok now on with the show! And they were FANTASTIC live! Then came Limp bizkit. And we left!!! Funny thing is so did a s hit ton of other people. Whoever planned that shit out is an idiot!

Nah he’s a good composer too, all the stuff on No More Tears was written by him. He’s like Yngwie, they can write some epic tracks, but most of the stuff you see of them is just showing off

It was Zakk who turned me onto EMG's 81/85's in which I really started developing an entire new level of playing my Les Paul. Of course his signature series. Thx 4 that Zakk.
I was front row on that shredding with blood and he throw some drops on me and a cople of people who was next to me.. Man I felt blessed! it was in a concert of BLS, Korn and Ozzy on 2008 in Sao Paulo Brazil.

@@russellmcgurn4217 Ozzy still gets emotional hearing one of Randy's riffs. Zakk never hid the fact that he was a fan of Randy's playing before he sent in an audition tape to Ozzy who (sometime after Randy died) was looking for a new guitarist and when Zakk plays something like CRAZY TRAIN, he finds a way to play it that honors Randy's memory while still remaining true to himself and his own style. I have a ton of respect for Zakk as a guitarist. He runs his own BLS tours the same way Ozzy and Sharon taught him. Ozzy and Sharon took him in. No matter what Zakk does, he would never completely leave Ozzy's band.

I really liked Zakk Wylde, but when he talked about Limp Bizkit like that is when I started to fucking love him.
Irony, when Zakk one the first clip talks about the audience not wanting to hear the exact record, that is true, however, another clips shows him shredding in 1989 and yet he is doing the same shredding solo still today lol
