    Got one of those near mine near Bromley Steve. Never seen it, but on our fb page for my estate. Amazing using the drones for recon...saves walking all that way to get a little bit of footage eh buddy! Think our drones save us a lot of hard work. Local history is a thing of mine and the drone allows me to access the woodlands etc with ease, from a park bench. Loved this video, hope to see more. I used to stay in a children's home in Ripple in 1980 to 81

      Thanks for the comment. Small world, I lived in Bromley, Crown Lane for a while! Used to go fishing at the trout lake.

    Growing up in the 80s and 90s was fun exploring ww2 sites, if only we had drones back then lol

    Thanks Steve , enjoyed your video
    I’m in north Lincolnshire, there’s a lot of old raf bases here , a lot were air strips with some smaller buildings . All abandoned now . I can only imagine they were all up and down the east coast

      There's loads. I'm trying to relocate an old scallywag bunker I found as a kid too!

    They’re fascinating. Only held about three weeks supplies from what I understand which makes you think what kind of world they would have to emerge to if all those resources had to be consumed
    BT put all the comms lines in and from what I understand their main purpose was atmospheric monitoring so they could plot fallout etc.
    Absolutely fascinating. One came up for sale near me for £30k and someone had put a sheep skin rug and a wood burner in!
    Such an interesting organisation and concept. Brilliant stuff steve

    There were1,500 Royal Observer Posts built from 1958 to 1964.
    Large number were closed in 1968 , when the Labour government closed several hundred.
    The rest soldiered on to 1991, when they were closed.
    Many in built up areas were built on golf courses, and these today are still in good condition, and used to store , golf grounds man tools, machinery etc.

    Interesting stuff and great drone camera footage Steve. Looks like a job for secateurs on the next visit. Maybe an overnight bug-out in the building?

      hehe@@everydayprepperSeems like an opportunity not to be missed. i'm sure you took note of the bunker cover and the tool required to lift it correctly so i wont mention that. This could turn into quite an expedition and adventure Steve. Combine your discoveries and nostalgic story with any history, literature and paraphernalia that can be found and you have a very interesting presentation.

    Merry Christmas Steve! Here I am at 60 years old, a lad from Kent UK now living in Tennessee. Funny the things we got up to before we had four television channels and no Internet. Think I was maybe 11 or 12 we would climb about on an ROC post up on the North downs overlooking the little village of Otford. I enjoyed your post. I've only just found your site, seems like we have a bit common. Best regards Sir. PS: The mess the Biden administration has made of the US might take DJT his whole four years term to recover from.

      Merry Christmas to you Simon! Thanks for watching. Wow, how did you end up in Tennessee? The US is so much bigger, more so these days. Getting quite crowded here now..

    • @everydayprepper
      @everydayprepper  2 дні тому

      We lived in Biggin Hill for a while, not too far from Otford I think!

    Totally with you about Mr. T IMHO that’s why Vlad has been holding back regardless of what the dying days of the outgoing administration have been trying to do. Which bought us a bit more time to prep.

    I think you are probably right regarding Biden and Trump. Nice drone footage, how hard is it to learn to fly these things?

    • @everydayprepper
      @everydayprepper  Місяць тому

      Flying the drone is honestly surprisingly easy!

      I do too,... it's amazing that some people can't seem to see how bad the world has become under Biden, maybe that's down to the experimental jabs that they took?
      Sure, I don't fully trust Trump either, only time will tell if he's genuine or just another actor playing a role for the big club.
