Holy crap! It took me a second to realize that those were all alligators- I went kayaking today on the hillsborough river in FL and only saw 4 small ones- you have guts my friend!
If you fall in, the safest thing to do would be to walk across all their heads to safety. I would have just swung across a vine to get to the other side. It worked on Pitfall.
I wouldn't be this close, it's too risky and in another video same scenario, an alligator surfaced and hit the guy's kayak pretty hard making him loose control, you have to be all eyes when putting yourself in this type of risk, that gator could've toppled his kayak and made him fall prey in the water. I really don't this is wise to do. The large gators eat the smaller gators, what makes you think that they're not going to eat a human? This is NOT having kahunas which is mispelled - it's cojones, a mexican word - this is looking for some sort of freak death unnecessarily.
he slid right up on some mud before he noticed the alligators, and then thought "oh shit, i better get off the mud". Was the bumping sound the gators bumping into the bottom of the kayak or what? I know the best course of action is to just keep your cool and calmly paddle as quickly as possible in a straight line to perceived safety, but if they attack, will a paddle smack on the nose do any good?
Lord. Jesus do you have balls! I went canoeing in a part of Shingle Creek before it was first opened to the public a few years back as an employee of the parks district and we had two very large bulls tap up under our canoe. I stayed calm and managed to paddle through it, but this right here is a nightmare!
im a wildlife rehaber and i go there a lot. i've been chased by wild pigs and snapped at by alligators. gone hiking far out and i;ve seen deer, theres so much there. i;ve also seen otters.etc. i could go on for years.
lol, these aren't Nile crocs, they aren't going to snatch you out of your boat or kayak. Alligators are pretty timid, they'll move away from you and your boat if you approach and if they don't want you near them, they'll let you know before you get close with some bellows. Big rules with gators is stay away from nests, don't go near babies, if two are fighting or courting stay away. Outside of that, give them their space and they'll leave you alone, they aren't interested in eating you. The most dangerous gators are the ones who have been habituated to associate humans with food by being fed and mommas with babies or eggs. Keep dogs and small children away; definitely don't bring a dog on a yak with you where there are gators, they may actually flip the yak trying to get the dog.
Pretty brave that ,i was on a surf board on a beach in oz , were sharks have been spotted, but if u can’t see them u don’t tend to worry, but this different,so yes ver brave
Are you kidding me, were is this because I do not need to be around that many at once, I used to live in Port Charlot Fl and would have 1- 2 or even 3 come up to me when I was bass fishing and that was OK, but 70 or so 10 footers!!! You are the man for going into there are IN A KAYAK, your name shoul be Steve Erwin, HA HA
When I asked about safety precautions since it was my first time being so close to gators... a park ranger said that the worst he knew to happen was that one guy was fishing and was tying his fish to the side of his pants and a gator went after them but thank God it wasn't a fatal attack.
@WorldWideDiscussions I'd be really really careful with your dog around the water in FL i've lived here my whole life, and i see it in the paper, and i know people who have lost dogs to gators, but usually when they're swimming in the water, idk about if the dogs in the kayak, but theres some big gators here so i wouldn't chance it.
Dogs and children are an attraction, I wouldn't have them come even near the water. I don't trust wildlife and gators at that. So under much insistance we were getting closer and closer to take a picture with a big gator sun bathing near the edge, out of nowhere this other gator pops it's head out of the water and was moving its tale side to side steady, not slowly, like it was ready to attack. I got my 10 year old out of there quick!! We left.
liar!!! there are'nt 100 hugry alligators, looks to me like a thousand starve to death alligator and a pair or yellow dishes fill with chum paddling around.
This is like my nightmare! You are a brave adventurer!
Brave?????!
Ed Jenkins i think she meant suicidal!😂😂
More like lucky idiot

I did this when I lived in Sarasota back in 1986, Not quite as many that day, but the twelve footer convinced me to call it a day.

Are you being funny? Or wanting to sound like Peter Pan? 😄 I've never heard of this.
And what if they submerge instead of keeping their heads above water?
I got scared behind my laptop, geeez man, you have some kahunas there buddy! One false move, and your bait...

Why did the bull gators tap under your canoe? Is there danger of being toppled over by them?
@@lourdesm.velandia-calderon3486 If it's mating season and you're in their territory they may try to run you off.
Live your best life. You took a huge gamble bro
And in this moment, you finally realize that you are the cream of the cookie.

Later, gator... I'm outta here!!!
it would be so scary to capsize in that lake. idk why you would in the calm water, but still
Yea I have approached smaller gators with kayak and canoe but not like this. Very big balls. Gator city USA

Man I wish 4K existed back then!
That was pretty cool to see.
gators are usally skittish around people unless people have been feeding them ..then they will come right up to you
And don't go near them at dawn or dusk.

I agree that you shouldn't be around that many 10' at once. And really sorry about what happened to Steve Erwin... it didn't have to end like that.

@@lourdesm.velandia-calderon3486 For every one you see, there are ten you don't. Stay the fuck away.
They need to harvest some of those alligators! Theres way to many...By the way your pretty brave, did any of them come close to you?
They sell gator food at the Pink Gator Café.
Yeah, let's invade their habitat and kill them. What an absolutely thoughtless and arrogant thing to say.
I see someone posted found footage.....Surprised this doesn't have more views.

😭😭😭
You know a clip is going to be good when you see such a poor quality video
"Harvest some of those alligators"? You mean kill some of those animals in their natural habitat?? Thats a very stupid idea.
