WHILST MOST 22-year-olds are socialising with friends, Gabby Scampone is wrestling alligators. Gabby moved from New York to Florida seven months ago to pursue her career relocating and caring for alligators. After falling in love with reptiles at the age of 15, Gabby now volunteers at Everglades Holiday Park, where she puts on a daily show wrestling alligators and also rescues nuisance ‘gators from local properties.

I’ve volunteered at the Everglades outpost center and ran into her one time there. Very sweet and beautiful girl.
She is so well spoken and super talented with animals. She’s going to do big things

The only thing I would worry about would be pets roaming around while a gator is in the yard. If there were no pets alone or kids, I would be fine sharing the land with a gator as long as the alligator stays a safe distance away from me. I like looking at them but I will stay away from a wild gator.

How can she tell them apart? 😂
After you're around them for so long you can tell them apart. Most likely a slight shade difference, maybe the way the back spines are places, the teeth, etc. If you're around a couple or in this case many animals of the same species and what looks like identical you do pick up the odd thing here or there that tell you who is who.
The numbers on their backs
After being with an animal for a long time you can usually tell by the way they act the slightest shade difference in color the way the scales are I do that with my constrictors and pythons
Eye color is the best way or how many ridges down the center spine.

I definitely understand the love of reptiles. I'm now in my 50's, but my grandparents used to tell stories of not being able to pry me out of the reptile exhibit at the zoo when I was too young to even remember it. I think it's a love that you're either born with or not. Everyone I know that loves reptiles says they can't remember feeling any other way. I agree.
Well , they may not have been able to pry you out of the exhibit. Hopefully the same isn't true for her head!

Hmmm, I clearly recollect a video I've seen of a guy similarly stepping between alligators in a similar way while feeding them as he had been doing for several years, and one of them drags him off into the lake and kills him.
