Same! It’s so good! It’s a Star Wars game that is like Metroid Prime 3 as far as the type of way the game progresses, Tomb Raider as far as feel, and the Combat from the original Assassin’s Creed games...

@Boba It's not open world... it's restricted to areas. By "open world" most people think of something like Minecraft, a basically infinite world with randomly generated environments.
kotor was released 17 years ago. 17. years. ago. yes there would be a huge market for an open world star wars game, but ea calls the shots today and little chance of something like that being made.

Imagine an open world Star Wars game where you are in full control. You can choose your back story where you can become Dark, Light, or Grey. You can either choose to follow a goal or just wreak havoc on everything and anything you touch.

I am starting my second playthrough a couple of years later. This game was definitely a move in the right direction. An older comment on here mentioned an open world Star Wars Game with a Dark/Light system. The combat and story from this game provide a great foundation for that. I really hope we get more games like this.

@@tempest.revoltyt1714 the complaint I ever had about this game is how short it is. also the flying glitch by pressing jump and swing light saber you can fly and return to areas the game doesnt want you too. it also allows you to skip all the way back to your ship by flying over all the game assets.

Don't worry I played it on easy because I couldn't win the bossfights, but the story was so good that I wanted to know more!
Got it expecting a Soulslike game (I finished literally all the notable soulslike/soulsborne there is and was looking for a new challenge before I start Stellar Blade)...
It was too easy even in the hardest difficulty :/ I want to die and get frustrated dying 10-20 times in a row, I miss thisfeeling I had when I originally sarted souls games in 2009 :(
I want a Star Wars game where you start off as a Jedi Youngling and progress possibly up to a Jedi Master on the Jedi Council.

I wish there was a "gore mode" where stormtroopers get really cut in pieces, I am not asking for blood or cry of pain but it feel weird slashing a strotrooper and not cutting him in half.
I feel like that's something they thought people would just get over and stop thinking about. But I gotta say it looks really stupid in combat when they just take away the logic of a lightsaber.

Just started playing this game yesterday after I saw it’s sequel get announced. It is incredible. It’s a single-player action-adventure Star Wars game in the style of Uncharted. It is incredible⚡️ Definitely hyped for the sequel now!

I just started it and I'm about 45 minutes in and I absolutely love it! Truly phenomenal opening scene for sure!
I own a pretty incredible sound system in my living room and something worth mentioning is the sound quality! It's top notch and I had a big smile on my face the whole time I've played so far!

@@jacobc1863 i highly reccommend (if you havent) switching to gamepass ultimate if you have an xbox or a pc, ea play is included on top of it olus access to ALOT of games
I actually don't think the game is very good at all it's no comparison to Knights of the old Republic or even battle front it's cheap it cuts corners and hides it just a bad game masked as a good one

@@AmCanTech nahhh it’s a family account so maybe 20 a year (got dragon age, fallout, squadrones and lots of others) I got lucky no one games and only use prime for Amazon
I enjoyed this so much! Esp how you start off as a PTSD Padwan and build up your skills and character to proper Jedi levels as the game progresses. The character development as a Jedi really hit hard with me along with the awesome combat. I also love the timeline; great story. Problems: short, more enemy types, humanoids where more fun to fight than monsters
"I'm hungry so it's affecting my aim and I can't hit anything" is a good trooper line since it would explain a lot of the Original Trilogy
They were commanded to miss their shots in ANH, however the other movies? yeah their are no excuses

This game is a classic. One of the best games out there. The story is fantastic, character development is deep, and the game creates a strong emotional impact. HIGHLY recommend if you are a Star Wars fan. You will love it!
I think that it looks like a great game, and I am definitely going to buy it once a good special is on Steam. Really like the Before You Buy videos, they definitely help a lot with my decisions on which games to buy and which games I thought of buying but never did.

Love this game, one of the best i've played in a long while! What a great adventure. The FORCE is strong with this one!!
How long
I'm currently playing through this and it doesn't deserve the hate some people give it. Story is great, locations are great but! combat, although, very good, can be a bit cumbersome in intense moments. When you fully upgrade abilities you do start to feel like a true Jedi and I love the story and set pieces. Appreciate this SW gem!
Only thing I can complain about is the load times when I die 😂

I just beat this, and very excited about Survivor coming out in a month. My favorite thing about this game was the Stim Canisters both using them in combat and the feeling you get when you unlock them from a yellow chest. As a hardcore Star Wars fan myself, I was happy they didn't load up the cut scenes and story with all that overlap/similarities to the original movies like they did with that Disney crap. This game is all new characters and adventures, imo --> 10/10, this game was absolutely amazing. Also, the funny stuff the Storm Troopers would say to each other is a bit of icing on the cake in the gameplay, look out for that while you're playing
The platforming honestly is the most Jedi thing that happens in this game. Cal running under Zeffo made me feel how Luke’s training went on Dagobah. And as for me. Every time I failed, I went and tried again. Just my thoughts.

This game really gives me flashbacks to the old days of Lucasarts, when Star Wars games would do different things from each other
Hopefully more good things will come from this game. A new republic commando? A new force unleashed? More time for battlefront 2 to be fixed and expanded upon? I might lean towards this game so I dont have to play battlefront 2 to get my star wars fix.
Seems decent but there are certainly some flaws in design atleast from a canon perspective.

Honestly, not since Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic, have I been looking forward to playing this game, especially with the Star Map. The Star Map in that older game allowed you to pick a pre-selected number of planets and go there in the Ebon Hawk. Just marvelous.

i am really late to the party on this one but my dad got this game for me back in December of 2019 and fell in love with it. It literally skyrocketed to my #1 favorite video game and I had a blast playing it. It does feel a little short on some areas, especially the shrouded mystery of the Zeffo and who they were and that got me really interested to know more about the new species. There have been confirmed rumors that there is a Jedi: Fallen order sequel which I am hyped for. In my personal opinion it is a 10/10 for me 💯👏

To be honest... Grandmaster is pretty easy for a Souls Like. I tried Sekiro after playing this on GM as my first real Souls Like - I rage quit for months lol.

@@sheriffcrandy I've played for 3 hours so far. I like several aspects of it, but it kinda reminds me of bloodborne. It is a bit challenging, but still enjoyable. It has some platforming mechanics which I personally enjoy, but if u don't, then keep that in mind. I haven't gotten all of the "abilities" yet, so I can't say much for combat. But I hear it's slow, but will pick up its pace as you go along. I am impressed so far, especially since EA made it.

I’m only about 4 hours in, and the attention to detail is amazing, and I’m hooked. I expect nothing less from future Star Wars games
Finally got around to playing this game after buying it on sale and just beat it earlier today. It was really good. This really is a solid game and a solid Star Wars game all around. 8/10 from me.

Jack V I know EA is a big company that people will recognize, but there games are often overlooked because of the micro transactions, if Respawn broke ties and built up there company then people would want to buy there high quality fun games.

True. But to be fair, the loading screens throughout the game are almost completely gone overall. So I'll take one longer one than a bunch of mini load screens

45 minutes in to this game on xbox game pass and I have to say, most I've been sucked into or immersed into a game in a very long time. Combat is truly amazing, some of the best combat I've ever experianced. Graphics and voice acting are amazing. Some. Very minor glitching. Game is amazing so far in my eyes thougb
I finished it and I think the platforming wasn't too game breaking nor immersion-ruining. It's there, and it's used well, sometimes putting you into very complicated situations, and other times allowing you to have an advantage in contact with enemies.
If you love Star Wars, you'll love this game despite how much you like/dislike platforming in video games.
I just finished editing my series and I agree. The platforming mostly felt like a relaxing break between battles for me. 👍
It seems EA just needs to go 100% hands off with literally every game.
Edit: wow I had no idea this was going to blow up like this, seems like tons of people agree. Sadly they won't understand that them just saying "call us when you need more money" is the way to go.

@@anthonybonavito1371 If they were to add mtx into the game I bet they would nerf the XP gain then make us buy the skill points in order to avoid the painstakingly slow grind. They *probably* won't though but it's still a possibility.

I just finished the game. I bought it with the 70% summer scouts. Some bugs here and there but overall a GREAT , very fun to play and challenging game! 👍Don't miss it!

@@lol819ger3 The truth is that you can replay the areas to collect missing parts. BUT the big miss here is that playing the New Game+ all the weapons and abilities are reset and this is disappointing..

It is very good. I was amazed by the graphics too. Bit time consuming to go check all the hidden stuff and caves but that's the fun of it.

Huge Star Wars fan here, absolutely loving it. Between this and Mando, Star Wars is starting to seem like Star Wars again and it feels so good. Also loving how it feels a bit like God of War which was probably last years best game.

I don't like the fact that you can slice monsters in 2 but not stormtroopers
Teodor they did that on purpose to “limit” the godlike feel of the lightsaber against human opponents, other wise you’d be saying why can’t I cut through all of them like I just did that stormtrooper.
You could headcanon It as stormtroopers having Energy shields like the ones in kotor

@@halo7172 No they didn't. In the game you will "slice" many stormtroopers through, but they don't get sliced in half. Because fuck logic and this is EA's kids game.

I just noticed, the color on the back of bd1’s head changes depending on the color of your lightsaber. Pretty cool.

It's one of the more recent Tomb Raider games with a Star Wars skin. I like it. You didn't credit the photo mode, which is great, and EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. GAME should have this.

i personnally like single player games more than multiplayer games...but the big open world games.. like gta v ( story mode) , assassins creed odyssey, assassin creed origins and etc

@@sinnithael7707 Yep. But for once EA didn't dip their greedy fingers into this game and let Respawn do what they do best. Hopefully EA has finally learned that they can still make a ton of money from producing quality games, rather than just shoving microtransactions into everything.

RundiF1 it depends on your major, some highly technical or creative major gives out regular assignments daily or weekly, and creative ones has group projects, its all up to your time management

Chillisilly it’s the only developer I personally respect most of the things they make are great but they get screwed up by EA
X Fruit naughty dogs and dice as well as sucker punch are amazing too
.....for now. Apex Legends success has bought them some breathing space I'm sure but the ball will drop on them like it did the other in terms of including monetization in their projects.

When you saw the game was made by Respawn you already knew there'd be wall running.
Finally got around to putting some time in and beating the game. I started on Jedi Knight but changed to Master after 1st Bogano visit. Play time around 24 hours; I found all the secrets and all the chests (but not all the data entries from scanning, etc..) and unlocked all skills part way through Chapter 5, finishing the game with 7 skill points. The last actual boss fight I find has a massive difficulty spike compared to everything before it. Replay value for me is zero, mainly due to inability to skip cutscenes.

Well, I think you have so much time in Breath of the Wild because the game has a lot of content to give you. You can actually finish the story itself in, like, 20 minutes (it’s possible). But yeah, Breath of the Wild is amazing.
I mean, one guy beat all 120 shrines in 12 hours. I wish I were kidding.

How tf do you people play single player games for that long? There is nothing to improve or do. I barely ever finish the main story for single player games before I fall asleep
The fact that we all wish the game was longer means we want more of this game, because we're hooked on it.
Also, if there are still people skeptical of the game, do not listen to comments about "combat being slow and boring." You can do what he did which is just stand and parry, or as you progress in the game, use those abilities you gain and make exciting combos (freezing a bullet and force pulling a trooper into it). It is truly, in my opinion, game of the year for 2019.
It looks like Lego Star Wars combat mechanics but far more advanced, which works for me. Is that a fair comparison?
Apart from that, the mechanics in general seem to be very clunky, and the gameplay seems easy (or casual?). I don't play many games, but I played Titan Fall 2. It didn't seem clunky, but the platform jumping and puzzles in Titan Fall 2 were so easy and primitive that this review referencing it was a concern. I enjoy games like Zelda, but even Spyro: A Hero's Tale was far more intellectually engaging than Titan Fall 2.
In short, I am still on the fence about Fallen Order. Star Wars games appeal to me because they are not gross, but the Star Wars branding alone isn't enough for me.

I finally got it when I found it dirt cheap on Steam or somewhere. I think it's ok, I don't love it or hate it. I haven't played much. I got to a part of the game where I'm off the ship and I have to get to some temple or something. It's been a while, but I think I wasn't clear as to what I was even supposed to do next. I know something frustrated me and I turned it off. lol I just haven't got back to it due to playing other games. I'll pick it back up eventually.
I only got it recently, but I think the combat is enjoyable and the game looks good, navigating some planets can be a little annoying sometimes but most of the time it’s fun. Dock 1 point off for the lack of dismemberment though
