Great video.
Kit Fisto nearly defeated Grevious by using Shii-Cho. He even held his own against Palpatine before his unfortunate death. Shii-Cho is like Juyo, you're connected to the force, but like Juyo, you CAN eventually fall to the Dark Side.
Held his own...HaHaHaHaHaHaHa!
Haha haha
Held his own .. he last all of an additional 15 seconds
@@robertagu5533 not even 15 seconds
Fisto couldn't even survive against Sidious in less than a second fight. What Form did Sidious use to kill him so quickly? :/
Kit Fisto fans like myself use the fact that he lived a couple seconds longer than the other two council members when confronting Sidious as proof that he’s so great, and that’s pretty funny
Kit Fisto is a background character and last more then 1 second against the ultimate evil in the Star Wars franchise using a form ill-suited for 1 on one 1 combat, you have every right to say how great he is
Amen
Brandan Miller To be fair to mister Fisto, he was probably intended to be just a side character in the prequels. Tell me if I'm wrong, but it seems Fisto was background Jedi fodder, and it wasn't until SWCW that he got a certain amount of complexity and character (another assumption here, I haven't watched the Clone Wars yet, I'm assuming he was given complexity and an interesting character in clone wars cause thats what happened with everything else from the prequels)
@@ricoco7891 He was given a decent amount of episodes where he was pretty much a main character and that meant a lot of development. But to call him a side character in the prequels is being generous. He was really nothing more than an extra. I can't remember him having a single line. He's only remembered to those who haven't seen TCW because of how unique his design was like most of the Jedi Council
you are correct and he survived grievous'lair
Kit Fisto : *is a master of the most basic lightsaber fighting style*
Also Kit Fisto : *does a triple backflip midfight*
lol and have you ever seen Count Dooku actually FENCE?
Triple backflips are hella basic
David McCarthy you compared a fighting style to doing a backflip 🤦🏽♂️
Zombied77 It’s a shame that the films never showed Dooku fencing even tho the novel said he did. In the films, he fought just like everyone else. That’s why I loved his fighting style in the Clone Wars Show. He actually used fencing(Form II).
Also Fisto: fights under water with lightsaber

A perfect form can only be realized when visualizing enemies on all sides...
Facing Darth Sidious was like facing 3 opponents at once.
@@7erikgiles there was no force scream from Palpatine...
He was yelling as a war cry of sorts...
The reason They were all cut down is because Palpatine can move multiple times the speed of light... As Ian (the actor) described in an interview about him actually being in his first saber combat scene...
Look it up... It's very interesting how he describes what his character is able to do based on the script he talks about.
They way that scene is written is quite interesting. Sidious had killed the two masters in the blink of an eye. Mace Windu and Kit Fisto had barely even reacted to his first move by the time he had killed the other two. The fact that Kit fisto and Mace Windu both survived the next couple of seconds was supposed to be an incredible feat. And it was also to show how powerful Mace Windu in defeating Sidious, the Sith who killed three Jedi Master in a matter of seconds.
@@ZenRyoku no this is actually only partially true. Palpatine did indeed force scream
Kit fisto getting one shotted by sheev is the most dissapointing part of the prequels.
@Obi-Wan Kenobi Go back to your high ground :'(
That shit was stupid he should not have killed all three jedi that fast i understand him being able to beat the 3 but in like 5 secs fuck outta here that's bullshit.
They were disoriented by sheev using force scream, unexpectedly leaving them overwhelmed
Sheev's force scream screwed with them. And lets be honest almost no one in the Jedi Order had any experience whatsoever fighting actual Sith since they were in hiding for 1000 years. As good as the masters are, they really had no idea what techniques would be thrown their way and how to counter/react to them, besides the fact Sheev was a monster of a duelist and a master of the dark side of the force to such a tremendous degree.
But yeah did suck to see Fisto not last just a bit longer against Sheev.

-Master Windu! Palpatine is a sith lord!
-Are you sure?
-Yes.
-Ok, he is the most dangerous boss in the galaxy. Let's bring to fight only those who are not specialized in 1v1 or 4v1.
-Maybe wait for Yoda or Obi-Wan? Or at least use Skywalker even if you don't complete trust him? He is one of the best duel master. Or use aircrafts/droids/drones with weapons that lightsaber can't deflect? Or even use external shield generator to contain him?
-No
-But just for a rescue mission in ep.2 you bring ~50 Jedi.
-No, that was different.
-I don't see any logic. It is the most important operation of the whole war!!! Why are you doing that?
-That way I will look cooler when all my allies die.
Knuckles #2761 remember Windu couldnt use troops, because Palpatine was the chancellor after all ( not mentioned the order 66) so,...
@@tomascao1628 They technically could've used order 65 had they known about it
I agree he went in with few people but to be fair, tons of jedi were killed in attack of the clones and at this point in revenge of the sith a lot of the best ones were spread out fighting the war throughout the galaxy, so you could assume there weren't many jedi masters to spare to begin with, and obviously Mace wouldn't risk taking a bunch of padawans... Also they wouldn't wait because now that the war was officially over and Palpatine would never relinquish his emergency powers it was a critical time to gain control or they wouldn't get another chance
You've also gotta remember everyone on the senate trusted Palpatine as if he already were their emperor, Windu trotting through with an army of Jedi up to his office wouldn't look good.
I mean, even in the movie, the Jedi Temple was basically empty of all Masters. And they had to act fast, because Sidious knew the Jedi knew who he was(he opened up to Anakin). There was no time to waste and no other masters to come with. The Jedi could no longer command troops. That was the best shot they had.

That fight scene was so disappointing
the most important thing was that form one is very much useless in narrow space, and that sequence took place in the definition of that. I think he would have a chance vs sidious in the senate chamber like Yoda fought him.
All long sword like weapons are useless in narrow spaces. Unless you're a highly trained "Master" and know what to do in tight spaces. If he was not.....then he really wasn't all that good in the first place.

It's like he getting in fourth in a car race using a non-magical Beetle.
I think he meant best Jedi duelists. No way he’s top 4 of all swordsman. Windu, Yoda, Kenobi, and Skywalker were all better swordsman undoubtedly, and if you add Dooku and Palpatine to the mix, you get #7 at best. I’d even argue legends Grievous is way better than Fisto.
Shii-cho can be dangerous in the right hands, especially when mixed with form 3 soresu.
Fusing Form III and V would result in straight up terror for a lightsaber duelist. Imagine having a stupid strong offense while keeping an insane defense for those pesky Ataru users 😨
And Impy mastered all of them. Truly a terrifying sight to behold.
Palpy not impy.
@@blackshogun272 How do you think Pre-vader anakin became so dangerous? True. It would be reqlly dissapointing if he died like that bald jedi with a huge forehead
Suger Skull he was a powerful Jedi he actually sensed the clones change which was why he turned in shock before they even shot
@Luis Martinez Actually in the novels it is described that Mundi felt them turning on him. It was why he was overwhelmed. He was extremely competent at blaster deflection, and likely wouldn't have fallen if not for his disconnection with the force thanks to his emotional turmoil. Really sad, from the Clones' point of view as well.

lol this guy
Part Of your description said it was a more simple form. That in itself makes it dangerous, with fewer move to remember, the faster you can think when move and countermove is needed. This was the philosophy, Bruce Lee was trying to attain with Jeet Kune Do. He took from all aspects but also simplified it to fewer moves so it could be more reactionary
That quote from Bruce Lee about 'not fearing a man who has practice a million different kicks, but the one that has practice one kick a million times' popped into my head
Kit Fisto A Dangerous Jedi
Also Kit Fisto: *Got Killed Within 5 Second
I would be interested to learn how the physiological constrains of differing species also held factor in determining what form a practitioner would specialise in...
As I read this, I pictured Yoda always having to leap 3 times his height to hit his target. Not sure why you would bring it up here though.
i don't think they really would, after all a normal human would never be able to lift an X-wing out of a swamp just using his mind, even without a pestering ole puppet grampa egging him on; the Force overcomes all physical limitations
For me the Kit Fisto was a jedi that was of the few humble jedis , he was neither arrogant or arrogant.
I have a theory but it could be completely wrong so you can correct me if so
Apparently kit fisto used to be a trusted advisor of palpatine so although they were definitely not friends, I think that it would be fair to say that they would have got closer than any other jedi perhaps. If so then palpatine wouldn't have really wanted to kill him as they were close-ish. Palpatine would have known that he was superior so he could kill him but didn't want to so he struck him at a non lethal angel. As said in a video about the survival of the jedi council, he crawled to a corner and passed out. When he awoke he could have heard palpatine and anakin talking. He could have escaped and lived a life on coruscant. Palpatine would have doubtlessly sensed his survival but would have chose to ignore it as he chose to give him a chance. Eventually, he might have been found out by an inquisitor, in which case two things could happen. He could either get killed by the inquisitor, since he isnt strong enough to weild his lightsaber effectively or he could kill the inquisitor. If he gets killed, palpatine would have felt it and would have been angry at the inquisitor, maybe even kill him. But if the second one happened and he killed the inquisitor, he would have had to move planet and live on another. If this happened then he could have his own comic. He would have been sad about order 66 and the deaths of all his fellow jedi namely aayla secura and die of old age or even join the revbelion or resistance and be in future episodes of maybe even go back to his homeworld and become king in which case he would have to either have his own off spin movie or e in future movies and eventually die of old age.
As I said this is just a theory so it might be completely wrong ( probably ) in which case you can comment
Hope you enjoyed😇

Man, this guy's intonation is the worst in the entire galaxy
I always love how Fisto just swags in there.
So hold up. Master Tinn specialized in form 3 primarily and got slain easily. I’ll ignore Master Kolar’s death cause it was so fast and there was very little time to react (it supposedly happened much faster in the books). Meanwhile, Fisto specialized in form 1, which isn’t good in Jedi battles with only one opponent, yet managed to survive considerably longer against one of the most powerful Sith to ever exist (in the film he lasts a few seconds but in the book he lasts much longer, he only dies when he senses Anakin nearby and was distracted. Thats how much longer he lasted). I think the movie makes everyone think Fisto is weak as hell, but in reality he is incredibly strong probably top 5 of his time.
Nah, Kit Fisto just sucks.

He was so dangerous that Palpatine laid him out in literally 5 seconds. Be careful around Kit guys!
It seems to me, that all the masters of the Jedi Order danced around the edge of Darkside. While even some walked between the light and dark, like Anakin Skywalker. Skywalker used both Light and Darkside techniques, yet he was hailed as one of the best Jedi to serve in the Clone Wars. And it was no secret he did this. That's why Obi-Wan was always like please watch him. Or worried about him.

Now this is stupid, why would you teach younglings a form that could lead them to the dark side. Perfect.
Powerful, yes. But smart, they were not.
@@ScooterinAB the same reason why it's bad just to tell kids not to do drugs because they're bad. You have to explain why, knowledge is power
The Form connects a person directly to the force that's why they teach it to their younglings. As said in the video it's either a novice or absolute masters. Only when you mastered it then it brings you near to the dark side.
Whoever's more susceptible to the dark side must be noticed early.
Kit Fisto is basically a player in SWBF II (2017) that sticks with the default weapons for the 4 classes.
Kit fisto is my favorite Jedi. His design is just so cool.
Ikr? It looks awesome
And his smile is wholesome
I’ve always had a soft spot for Kit. My parents went to New York and brought my sister and I a bunch of goodies back, among them, some revenge of the sith action figures. I got yoda, R2, and a Wookie, all easily recognisable. Then there was this green dude with a tentacle head. I’d never seen him before, but he quickly became one of my most cherished possessions. Still own him to this day
Still hoped the jedi council members survived and like temporarily guarded the temple until escaping later Fisto is one of my reason for it. Could've been a whole training thing with the masters teaching Luke everything before going off to fight sidious possibly in this scenario with Yoda dead by some trick by Sidious while he went on about how he would've won if he was more ruthless.
"I'm still puncho with my Fisto" :D XD
Isn't he the guy who got killed instantly by Emperor Pay Pal?
Yeah pay pal my guy
This might be a good reason why he and Mace Windu were good friends. Perhaps Windu was an example to Fisto that another jedi can skirt closer to the darkside and still remain a master of the light.
Why did Palpatine defeat Fist so quickly when the Jedi went to arrest him?
Sneaksie Taffer because he can fight two sith but not one.....which makes as much sense as saying I’m only good at doing 2 research papers, Not one...
