I was lucky enough to get to go to Maui last November. Red Sand Beach was by far my favorite beach.

Very sad 30 years ago only people in town used this beach saw more people walking on this trail in 5 min.than would see here all weekend very sad

Aloha Eric West! Thank you for showing us the entire walk and trail to get down to the actually beach. Great video! This is already on our list of things to do when we return this year. It was good to know what to expect…be extremely careful and Paul will definitely have to leave chair, umbrella, ice chest, and etc in the car…haha! Great video Eric, yes we do agree that the trail is very dangerous , with caution it is well worth giving it a try. Add 78 my wife and I were both able to negotiate the trail but we did come across at least two individuals that were petrified and could not move. The locals do resent the tourist and we certainly understand. Respect the land and practice aloha.

Wow! Love the scenery but that's a nasty hike. I can see why the county is concerned for people's safety. Either they improve the trails to make it safer or close it down. This is a paramedics nightmare. 😬

Looks beautiful, but that trail doesn’t look very safe to walk on. Are there any other Red Sand beaches in Maui that be safer to go to? Thanks for going around to different spots on the island, love your Maui fix vlogs!! I can see why you love living there. I have been to Maui twice, hoping to go visit next year for my husband and my big 50th birthdays, so your videos have been helpful on places to see. Are there any good steak houses on the island, that over look the oceon ? We have been to Ruth Chris, but looking for a good place that is not a chain restaurant.
