I just got back from MAUI, first time there. OMG, The best vacation ever!! We went to Maluaka Beach, it was quiet and beautiful, no lifeguards that we saw but the beach was calm and water was great. I cannot wait to go back.
I've been going to Maui since I was a baby and can confirm that DT Fleming has great body surfing. A must if you love the waves! Also really appreciate you guys talking about reef safe sunscreen and ways to protect the reefs. I have to admit that the coral isn't what it used to be (I sound so old) when I was there as a kid 30 years ago.
I just got back from my trip to Maui and I have you both to thank for making it the most fun and memorable trip!!! Watched all of your videos on repeat and they were the MOST helpful! We stayed by Napili Beach and we may be biased but Napili was our fav 😉 we also loved Maluaka Beach, Hamoa Beach, and Ho’Okipa to watch the turtles and surfers! We snorkeled at Molokini on the Kai Kanani and hit up sooo many food trucks. Thanks so much for all of your help :)
Our pleasure! Thanks for coming back to share your experience! Napili is a special place! One of our favorites. Erica went there all the time when she was a little girl. It sounds like you did Maui right! We hope you can come back soon.
Great video and information as always. Love watching you, you do a great job. Only one thing I’d like to draw your attention to… I wish you would convey that big beach in Makenna can have a very bad Shorebreak and many people have been injured there. Residents referred to it as “broke neck beach”. Tourists popping in for a week don’t often realize it or the power of the ocean.
My Gf and I used your oahu videos for planning our trip to Oahu in 2021… seeing these Maui videos has us about ready to come back but to Maui this time! Great video as always
Aloha Jordan, Erica, and Henry, and to your fur baby. And big OH WOW.... I saw my vacation house on the Keawakapu Beach section of your vlog. I was so excited to see that. All the beaches on Maui are nice. I would have to agree you guys on the rankings of the beaches especially top 2 because its a coin toss between Napili Bay and Kapalua Bay. I will be in Maui tomorrow to celebrate Thanksgiving at my vacation house with my fiance and her parents. I really enjoy your vlog and news letters. I will be having some family and friends going to stay at my vacation house for Christmas vacation as well and have shared your YT Channel and itineraries on your website. Also glad to see Erica wearing her signature cap with the D on it. I kind of dub that as her signature cap cause I notice she wears it a lot on other video. One day I hope to run into you guys while I'm vacationing at my house there. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner on me for your family if I do. Have a wonderful Happy Thanksgiving.
Mahalo Vin for the message! You have an excellent location for a vacation house! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving on Maui. And, thanks for sharing our channel and website as we appreciate the support! It is a small island, see you around!
That is a great tip! We saw that study too. Here is an article with more info on ROPE and snorkel safety: www.sfgate.com/hawaii/article/Uptick-in-tourist-snorkeling-drownings-in-Hawaii-17299438.php I'll add it to the description in the video.
Aloha from Texas! Wow very accurate list, in Maui you can’t go wrong in paradise but those are some pristine ones. When I was there during Father’s Day In June my young daughters loved baby beach in Lahaina, it was their first Maui trip. 🤙
thanks for watching and the comment! Henry loves Lahaina's baby beach too. We love to go soak there. I a sure your daughters are looking forward to their next Maui trip!
@@TheHawaiiVacationGuide yes we are. Will be back in 2022 and staying in the Napili area. Appreciate all the content, helps me make the most of my visits until I can make the permanent jump.
Even though I lived in Kihei and adored all the south side beaches you covered, there was something about Pa'ia Bay (and the North Shore in general) that I just couldn't qualify or put into words. Magical.
Thanks for sharing! We neglected the north shore beaches and you're right, they are very nice. High swells during the winter make us cautious on recommending them to visitors.
Been to like half of the beaches in Maui. Kapalua, DTF, & Napili beach are my family’s beaches. My sister got engaged at Kamaole 3 in June. Her fiancé is from Maui. His dad still lives in Kihei while he, his mom, and siblings live in California.
I live there for a while Andrew most beaches you're showing and one thing I'm noticing that wasn't there and I was there, the people we're so many times I went to the beach and I was just nobody there especially like the cam 1 2 and 3 they were really local beaches like if they had something happening you would get crowds but normally throughout the week they're very few people down on the beach maybe more in the Parks connected to the beach or on the beach but not down on the sand are in the water. The 100 beats you showed I believe if I'm right that one hotels will take their guests to and drop them off and back when I was there they even had umbrellas beach chairs that hotel guests could get access to anyone could go to the beach but to get access to those amenities you had to be staying at the hotels. Alot Changes in 43 years
I love the background music from the birds in your video. What bird sings like that? I remember my first visit on Maui, I've only been to Maui twice. I thought my friends and I would get in trouble for trespassing through a resort to use their beach. So happy to learn we were not trespassing.
Not sure of the name, but the beach located behind the Azeka shopping center. There's a beach access off Ululani St. I discovered it on a solo day . Nobody there, one shade tree, calm waters and turtles! It was so peaceful! There was only one other lady, doing the same thing I was, and some dude running up and down the beach. No kids, no twenty something, rowdy beach goers. It was perfect!
My vote is Secret Beach!! And Baby Beach would be #2 on my list. (Adding some points to your contenders!) All Maui beaches have their own “personality”!
That whole "all beaches are public " still irks me that when my family attempted to go see manta point on the Big Island, we got turned away twice because of high surf. Just felt like that wasnt really the case and we never got to see that beach. I think its the Mauna Kea that has the security guard. 😢
The Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island has been the hardest for us. Security Guards say the public lot is full but we’ve been at the gate at 7am. Locals leave reviews saying they have had similar issues.
Hi, thank you for amazing videos about Hawaii. We are coming to visit Maui just for a day from Oahu and we would like to rent a scooter for a day. Is there any possibility at the airport or nearby? Any advice is helpful. Thanks
Most scooter rentals are in Kihei and Lahaina area. Maui is a large island and challenging to travel by scooter. We have tips on car rental (video) and our favorite scooter rentals in this article: thehawaiivacationguide.com/hawaii-recommendations/rental-car/

The 2 baby beaches were always my favorites when I was little and still living on Maui! Miss the island so much!
Thanks for sharing! The baby beaches are perfect for young and old, like a big swimming pool.

Great point MauiLG! Makena is a beach to be respected. If in doubt, don't go out.

amazing recommendations! Great video . Going to try Kraken coffee tomorrow and visiting Napili Bay. Thanks yall!
Enjoy Kraken! the drive-thru is convenient.
I was just there earlier this month! Miss it
love all your content ❤️ what do you guys do for work in Maui? is youtube your full time job? always wondering about the job market there
Tip I just learned that people who snorkel the first day are dying because of bends from airplane ride. So wait at least one day to snorkel.

Lanikai Beach on Oahu tops all of these
Lanikai is a gem, made our top 10 for Oahu beaches. No debate on that one.

Napli Bay has good snorkeling.🌴
It does indeed, a good place to see turtles! Thanks for sharing!
