    Hi Mick, seeing that left turn to the start of the Ba' climb sent shivers down my spine and off to my fridge to get a beer to watch you get down to Applecross. Those who have done it with a loaded bike will remember it well - and those hairpins near the top, not easy at all. The reward of course is the downhill after to Applecross.
    Looking forward to each episode as they come on.
    Slainte, Mick 👊👏👏

      Thanks Mick. Yes, the Bà climb was one to be remembered. The wind was something else 🥵. Glad you enjoyed the video, and yes, more to follow 👍

      Ha Ha, well I'm not sure about that, but thanks for your comments. I think it's near time for another venture? 🤔

    Mick, your first stop was river Conon. How do I know? I crashed my car straight across the river from your tent on Friday the thirteenth of April, 1973.
    Won't forget that in a hurry

    Great videos. How did you navigate along the route? Did you use agps device?

      Hi . Thanks for your comment. I did have a Garmin device with the NC500 route on it. But to be honest, I didn't use it, or need it, as the route is well sign posted. 👍

      Hi Colin, thanks for your comment and glad you enjoyed the videos. My bike is a Genises Tour De Fer 30. Is is a steel frame bike, so quite heavy, especially when loaded up 🥵. But it's never let me down. 👍

    • @catchyoulater.5836

      Hi Carl. It is a lovely route to cycle. But I believe it gets busy during the summer months. That is why I went in May. Wild camping is good, can always find a place to set up the tent. Food purchase is something you may need tobe away of, get supplies when you can. Apart from that, just take your time and enjoy it. And all the very best.

    Did you bring a bike lock? How did you secure your bikes overnight or when stopping for lunch?

    • @catchyoulater.5836
      @catchyoulater.5836  Рік тому +1

      Hi. I did bring a cable bike lick, but only used it a couple of times when at a coffee shop. Bike was secure at the wild camping and I was never worried about it. 👍

      Hi. I had only a gortex jacket. That's all, no waterproof trousers or anything. So I got wet, and I dried off. No problem 😁
