Randomly got recommended this by the algorithm, enjoy your shorts but really like these calm walks, perfectly relaxing setting and a chill guy, thanks man, much love from another Sam, from London, UK
Those vine looking set ups are most likely a native plant rehabilitation project from the Parks Dept. There's a Parks Dept. native plant nursery down Victory Blvd towards the West Shore Expressway. That was a nice walk pal.
My family lived near the intersection of Forest Avenue and Hart Boulevard and I enjoyed riding my bike in Silver Lake Park from 1961-70. Have many happy memories of its beauty. Also, our family dog enjoyed the freedom of running at Silver Lake. As I remember, the entire lake back then was surrounded by a metal fence that had breaks in it that permitted kids to swim in it (illegally) on warm summer nights. The road that connections Forest Ave and Victory Blvd was still open to cars as late as 1977 when my family moved from Staten Island. As a kid I would walk along the path that parallels that road and look for Titleist golf balls that the hackers had shot over or through the fence that separates the golf course from the park. In the early 1960s golfers would pay a quarter per ball with no hack marks. That was a silver quarter, which would be worth several dollars today. Not far from Forest Avenue, there was a hole in the fence that separated the park from the golf course and in winter kids would sled down the steep slope and make sure to turn left or right and not land in the little brook at the bottom of the hill. Had many great times at Silver Like with my friends, family and sometimes, just myself.
been on back watch... love the walking in the sunshine vids. Dont get to see the sun much these months... when i get back on front watch im going to go for a walk down by the Yazoo Canal
I ran cross country for a split second at Curtis. The road that runs through Silver Lake is perfect for running. It's almost a mile. I had no clue you couldn't drive through anymore. It was just a proper road 18 years ago. 😂😐 Silver Lake golf course is the sled spot in winter, right?
