I use to live in the Gray trailer u went by I was born and raised there raised my family there 21 year's ago we lost everything but I still have what's important my family by the grace of God we will rise above this and yes people did go in and robbed our home like this isn't hard enough thanks for the video great job 👍
God bless you Billy! Talk about kicking a man when he's down, someone who would do that would do anything, my granny would have said there's not a place in Hell hot enough for them.
The time has come to look past the flood and into the future. You need to act now for aid to get these people through a cold hard winter. Anticipate a wet Spring. My church is making a delivery in November to Eastern KY and I’ve contributed seven coats or jackets and assorted other things. We are all giving but obviously a great deal more is needed. Be careful the hurricane damage in Florida doesn’t cause KY to be overlooked. Keep the appeals going.
It's so depressing how far you can drive and see nothing but flood damage, and you're right the media is like a kitten with a ball of twine, after 3 minutes it moves on to something else.
Thanks for sharing the video. My roots are Floyd and Knott counties. Both sides of my family are from there. I love those mountains and it breaks my heart to see this devastation. My prayers are with this whole area. God Bless🥰
I gave $20 to the relief fund There’s no words appropriate for this Sad Terrible Horrible Horrific just doesn’t cover it Gods blessings to you folks My love to you folks Peace
Thank you so much Jonathan! There's so much destruction and loss, what we show is such a small part of it. I wish we could show more but these trips have been very hard on my wife emotionally, she breaks down every time she sees what these people went through.
My heart aches for these community's ravaged by this flood. I pray for help for them soon. I know it is hard for you to travel these roads and see the damage but you are the voice of these people. Blessings to you both.
So sad to see these community's hit so hard by the flooding, Isom was one of my town's we delivered to when I worked for Bonnie Plant farm back in 85 and 86, ive been there during flooding in the springtime but only minor back then, this makes me so sad beyond belief, love all the folks up there everyone is so kind and generous there. Prayers for everyone affected to overcome this.🙏 Thanks for giving us a look at the devastation Coyote's.
Thanks Mitch! There's so many communities devastated like Isom it's hard to get your mind around it, and you're right, some of the nicest people you would ever meet.
Thank you for the link and your service. I've been following wmp mountain news all the way from Tel aviv and have spread awareness to my friends. Kentucky strong 💪 . You 2 are awesome ❤️
I appreciate you posting and sharing this for everyone to see. I grew up down Route 7 but left many years ago. I can't believe the amount of damage and destruction that those people have endured. It breaks my heart. IgnitedCoyote, is it or would it be possible for you to travel and record farther down route 7?
I know how they feel it's like getting hit by a stun gun. When your pick something you wonder if it could be saved or not. You try not to cry but in the same time your tears can't come. Your cried out. It hurts. Just pray God gives them strength and he will. God bless to them
Just talked to a friend who spent a few days in Perry County with his church group cleaning up houses, he said parts of it was completely destroyed. Other reports I've heard from the national media says Perry County may have got the worst of it.
Cleaning up that IGA will be a job and a half....no doubt most of the stock will be ruined. Looters are the lowest form of life, as bad as scammers who come in after disasters. They do have a tough job ahead of them...winter isn't that far away...a lot of furnaces will need repair or replacing. That is a huge mess. You two are doing your part. Maybe it is a small part, but a very intricate mechanical clock is a collection of small parts, and it won't work without everything in place..
Thanks Scott! These videos haven't been easy to do emotionally, especially for my wife, she's had a hard time seeing all the pain and loss these people went through. It's hard to comprehend the scope of it and it leaves you really depressed knowing you're driving off to go to your home and all those people don't have one anymore.
I imagine Joe Packs chicken next door got totally destroyed. Haven't seen a picture of it yet. This is so sad to see the old Pic Pac halfway under water.
@@IgnitedCoyote I really appreciate the vid you did on the damage down there. Im stuck in Detroit and haven't been down in 4 years. My daddy is buried on the other side of that same mountain where the Isom IGA is. My family is all over that part of Letcher county but the home place for all of us is up Blair Branch. Turn left off of hwy 7 about mile and a half past the Isom iga
The scope of it is really hard to comprehend. There's so many families stretched out across five counties that lost everything they had and some of them lost loved ones also. It's almost emotionally unbearable to see it up close.
If you were in NYC or Chicago the media would have all kinds of benefits for you. They only help the weaklings that aren't smart and strong like the Appalachian community is.

They're reopening the Iga today and it looks awesome! They received tons of donations and help with the renovations

Thanks for all you and the Mrs. are doing for these communities. It’s heartbreaking how fast the national media have forgotten. Prayers 🙏

Thanks!
Thank you so much Randy! We've traveled quite a bit to make these videos and that really helps out. God bless you!

Thank you Peggy! You're right seeing the destruction and pain first hand breaks you down emotionally, it's been very hard on my wife.
Small part? People like you are the link between reality on the ground and help from outside the area.
Thank you so much, that means a lot!
Thank you Coyotes!!!!
What a awful thing to happen!Hope they will be helped. We sent money from our church. Hope other church's will help! They sure do need it!!
God bless you and all the folks at your church.
Send the school kids to boarding school away from the damage. Build out schools in Laurel and Madison cos to take the boarders.
We sent extra produce grown in high country nc to feed the homeless hungry in ky does that help?

Keep filming and posting. Tag people or places that help. Maybe UA-camrs that do recuse or recovery
So very sad to see such devastation.
Up close it's almost unbearable

If we make another trip we'll certainly see if we can travel further down route 7.
Prayers for everyone.
My aunt Lola May worked at the isom IGA for 20 years ....

Anyone know how perry County is? Is it advisable to not cone see relatives or roads possible? Rowdy , Ky.

I feel horrible for everyone there. My relatives there are Blair's.
Used to have family in Jenkins, KY. Alot of em passed away years ago. Did her old old house get destroyed in this flood? Her name was Osha Mae Gilliam
you done a good job
Thank you David!
What will it be like for these people when winter hits? Won't be good, another kinda storm. Prayers for them all.

Do you go to Perry County?
We're hoping we'll be able to go over there soon
I witnessed this flood. I ain’t joking when I say the west liberty tornado damage I saw looked less scary to me.
💔🙏
This is so awful. Why do these things happen?
Good question!

We plan on going back to see what everything looks like now
