Oh Thank You! When I was a youngster We went to the Michigan State Fair with My Mom. We ate all day! It' a wonderful memory for me
In 2004 my son and I were in Anchorage for several days before boarding a cruise. We went to the state fair and had a great time. Watched the destruction Derby in the rain. We are fron Arizona, we were so cold. Was a fun day & beautiful drive.

Thank you Cindi! The storm was in Western Alaska and there was a ton of damage. Thankfully we were safe here in South Central but we are keeping those in Western Alaska in our prayers as they rebuild!

Thank you for another great video. The one food I remember at our fair was Idaho baked potatoes and corn on the cob. Glad the rain held off until later. At least it wasn’t super warm.

Ohio girl here though originally from upstate NY. I would go for the elephant ears (they don't know what they are in Ohio, can only get funnel cakes) , steamed clams, crab legs, shrimp, steak tacos, fried zucchini, spinach bread and might have to try a buffalo burger as I have never had one. I believe we have a few places in the Cincinnati area that does sell them. As you can see, I want it all!! LOL!! I would walk out broke and 40 pounds heavier!! Great video. Thank you!

Blooming Onion, & Funnel Cakes were our favorites years ago. Later years we added strawberries to our funnel cakes. It's been a very long time since I've been to a fair. I really enjoyed seeing yours.
Our town fair starts the end of this week. It’s the 175 th year. I entered my granddaughter 15 yrs ago to the pageant and she won little miss Deerfield. I was so proud. Hopefully I go this year cause after my accident 8 yrs ago I have a hard time walking with my leg so have not gone. I may try this year because I had a total knee replacement last December and I walk a little better. Love your videos 💓

I have never seen such a variety of cuisines at a fair! I’m afraid I would have had to sample food from all the booths! Beautiful flowers, and the booths were so inviting. Great quality of merchandise to choose from. ❤

Peach pie and ice cream is my favorite..so I definitely would get that...every place you showed I would want to taste. Food is the reason I go to the fair...Don't go much these days. The Boys got some special gifts. Thanks for taking us around.
I love that I wish that I was there in person all that food oh my goodness it all looks so good I'm not sure which one I wanted to eat first yum yum yum yum.

Who doesn’t love a good fair! I would of tasted the crepes and reindeer sausage…… probably just one bite I’m extremely picky lol My husband gets all of the stuff I don’t like. 😂 💁♀️🤦♀️

we have elephant ears but we call them Beaver tails, thank you for taking us along, when I was a kid getting a candy apple was a fair treat

Thanks Lauren for bringing us along for all the yummy foods and great artisan shops at the Alaska State Fair! We have a fair here in Hamburg, Germany which happens three times a year 😅 Its all about the rides and foods and a great event for families, teenagers and adults as well. I myself tend to avoid such events but really enjoy the foods once every other year when I decide to brave the crowds. Also I would have chosen the peach pie with ice cream and the crab cakes 😋 looked so delicious
The kettle corn number one number two is the fennel cake powder sugar and then I like their deep fried Twinkies or Oreos I’m a foodie at heart!

My favorite fair food is the Polish sausages and elephant ears.
🤤 donuts. Hot and sugary. One of my favorites. We always share at our state fair too. Great way to try a lot of different foods.

I never heard of having fairs after school started...
It is silly but it does start after school starts. The school schedule changed when I was in high school, it used to be right before school started. It opens at 11:00 on weekdays so I send the boys to school and then I pick them up and take them, we don't like to miss the fair! But, it is too busy on the weekend for me!

I haven't been to a County Fair in about 15 years. I love the fact that it was nice and cool day for you to enjoy. When I lived in Washington State (South/Eastern, for 28 years) It was Always so hot that it was hard to enjoy & makes for cranky kids!

Omg all that food looks so good!! I wish you could send us all some lol 😂 Everytime you say a food is made with reindeer im always like noooo not the reindeer!! 😅
The food is great! People love their reindeer sausage but really it is just a beef hot dog with less than 1% reindeer so don't feel too bad for the reindeer.

I felt the same way about reindeer sausage till i tried it in Denver Colorado and omg it was fantastic....you get over it realy quick when you taste how good it is lol

The flowers were Awesome and loved the big sunflower. Raining seeds with a good shake. I would go spinch bread and would have sliced candy apple. Here in Texas went around October have the great Texas fair. I would get a one candy apple and slice it so everyone got some and easier to eat. Is it because of all the sun that veggies get so huge. Starting my fall , winter containers garden. We might in January and February get a little cold . My son one year kept producing a banana peppers for almost 2 years. He bring container in at night if temp was dipping and back outside next day. He was so excited how long it grew. Great video mom's need break with friends once in awhile. . Have a blessed day.

Omg!! So many choices. Such talented people. I think I would have left with a stuffed belly, and empty pockets. I would bought a lot of those things.
I hope you can figure out how to make the spinach bread, as it looked delicious! I liked what you got the boys. Nice you got to see so many different flowers. I love the sunflowers. Only seen 1 Cat Tail in the dried Fall arrangements. Everything was so pretty. Cute heart shaped cucumber. The peach pie with ice cream 👍 would be "1" I would have chosen too. Thank you Lauren, this was really a nice day out with your friends.

I would enjoy that fair! So much to see and eat! There were so many delicious options but I probably would have chosen the stuffed baked potato and warm donuts of some sort. Thanks for sharing

In my town of Moses Lake, Washington we have a Grant County fair in Aug. I take my daughter every year. My hubby and son are not really fans so they stay home. Our favorite things are the animals and the ice cream. They also have amazing Greek food.

So much fun seeing everything. Sooo many food choices. I don’t remember any fair I’ve been to having that many. But, I’ve never been to a state fair. Only County fairs which are way smaller. For me, it would be Alaskan food! Since I’ve never been, I’d have to try all Alaskan food!

I always wondered how big pumpkins got up there. That fair looks amazing. Love the setup of it. If I wanted to attend the fair, but still be able to visit Denali, ride the AK railroad, go to Fairbanks and also travel the Glenn Highway to Glennallen and Copper River Valley, when should I come? Don't mind cooler weather, but don't want it too warm ...just want to not end up having snow and wintery weather mess my trip up.
You all have the best food anywhere at the fair never been there but it sure does sound awesome

Everywhere I go, I have to try the local hamburgers, but all the food looks good.
I used to always get kettle corn, I didn’t see you show that. Now that I know how to make it, I always go for funnel cake. Your fair had a lot more choices than we get. Ours is deep fried everything plus popcorn, hamburgers and hotdogs.

That's a lot of food. Corndogs are my go to. That's usually all I get. I like the frozen chocolate dipped bananas too.
