    Finally a new video! I was really looking forward to it, thanks.
    (Also, it does not hurt that you chose a game I P500'ed, so I can actually play along once it gets here)

      +‫עומר הרץ‬‎ Thanks. I also have another recent P500 in the queue: Empire of the Sun. Right now though I am filming Atlantic Wall and after that will do two or three more scenarios from Pax Romana which I really enjoy - my group played the 1-turn, 4 player scenario the other night.

    Could you make a full turn with all factions?. I mean... in another scenario.
    Greetings!.

      +Iru80 I will! However... it will likely be some time before I can get to it.

    Is this game impossible solo since it has diplomacy as a key factor

    • @CounterAttack
      @CounterAttack  8 років тому

      I don't think so. I think soloing diplomacy is similar to soloing military actions. In both cases, I have to switch my mental perspective back and forth between the factions in order to make the best move for that faction, whether it is choosing who to attack as one faction and then choosing whether to meet the attack or retreat as the other faction, or choosing some diplomatic offer as one faction and how to react to it as the other.

      I think the one thing that is difficult for me when soloing is knowing that another faction has a particular card in their hand. It's hard for me to "forget" it and keep it out of my decision making.

    I played this scenario. why does greece have a boat? whats the point? Why dont the Romans charge and attack the city right away? Also if you lose a battle you already give the Greeks one part of their victory condition. Why move the romans by sea just march down the country? In our game the greeks go first. they bring all the mercenaries across the water and land Tarentum. So how is the Roman player supposed to win this with that big stack there. As the Greeks, just park in Tarentum and wait for Rome to attack you

      This is like a training scenario. The galley can stop a boat move by the Romans in one direction limiting their options. As you have seen there are lots of 'speed bumps' (great analogy) en route to Tarrentum, so it isn't going to be one mad charge. As the Greeks go first they are going to land that SoF army somewhere near Rome if not in it, so the main Roman force is either going backwards or destroyed. The game is on the clock, three activations each, so parking the bus in Tarrentum would either create a stalemate and a draw (pointless for both sides) or the Romans would mass all their legions, including the new ones they can buy, and smash the Greeks. Two years late I know and I guess you've already worked all this out.
