This is impressive. I had zero intention of watching this entire video yet I did.
The tile at 45 degrees is called "herringbone".
As a minimalist, I LOVE this.
The bench is modeled after Rip's pillow: solid hunk of butcher block.

My biggest issue with this gym.... not enough trap bars. At the very least you should have them to upset Rip, then when he's distracted hold him down and shave him!
Can't do that, we prohibit the use of The Strength Co. plates on Trap Bars...
But where is the preacher curl machine?
And don't forget the leg extension machine.
It's hard to see back behind the cable leg press machine.

Brent appears to be shrinking in muscular size since his first videos.
Yea they need to put in some cable stacks so he can get some hypertrophy work in.
One year after this video Brent did my intro class at Starting Strength Plano. His muscular size has grown since this video, however his hair density has shrank. He's like the reverse of Samson.

You know what would make that gym nirvana? No one telling me what you do. No people just dogs.
Also an aerobics floor and Xbox. Far Cry. Oh and weed, lots of that. No whiskey.
Do you know how much strength training you can get in if you have to do a set everytime you die or win or anything cool happens? Like a lot.
If Rippetoe, his SS legions and his paying accolades could just fuck off I could have so much fun in that gym.
I'll tell you what. If Rippetoe is cooking I'll get take out. I'd definitely order the tri tips in gravy on mash taters. Steamed carrots please. Also fried chicken with more taters and gravy. Some broccoli with cheddar. Oh and the chicken fried steak with twice baked sweet taters. No gravy on sweet taters extra gravy on the fried steak. And about a gallon of greens in a quart of butter with hot sauce.
Please fry everything in beef tallow even the mash taters and gravy. If anybody else wants something go ahead.
Now that would truly make a Starting Strength experience just...i mean....just amazing.
