Don't forget sun visors too. I love your dogs. They are so good. It's like Chitty Chitty bang bang when the father went into the house to take the mantle in your case it was the floor runner. LOL

Brent: garage door seal has a 90% lip on it and works good on most old cars and it is thick and cheap!

About 30 years ago I was in Benton, Mo. and saw a 1 ton Dually chevrolet that someone had taken a Blazer body, filled the rear fender wells and the back doors. They had an 8' dually bed on back the frame looked massive but the truck looked like it was made in a factory. This is a small town and I never saw the truck again. I got a good look at it and it was great job. I have been thinking about that a lot watching this build.

I always wanted to spend hours and hours watching over the shoulder of someone working on vehicles. Your videos are my dream come true. No drama, no smoke and mirrors, just working on a project and keeping it real. I am impressed that you are not afraid to do anything and you don't need to be a perfectionist about it. Thank you so much for sharing your videos with all of us.

Hands down..THE COOLEST "SHOP" TRUCK on UA-cam. With the roof brace you installed, you now have something to bolt your overhead console to. You could also mount any interior in the console too.

Watching those screws come out of those door seals was like pulling out a old unknown splinter out of your hand. Seems ok, but it feels so much better once it's out. It's looking good man!

I don't normally comment on too many videos or channels. But I thoroughly enjoy your channel! Had I not watched DD speed shop when he bought the I guess it was a t-bucket from you, I would not have found your channel. I don't watch that channel anymore! I watch your channel and the videos that you make! You are a "Down to Earth" guy and I hope that you never change. I feel like I could just walk up to you and start talking about cars and trucks! Thank you very much for making my wife Mrs PIB and I smile! I appreciate you taking the time to read this! I wish you the best of luck in the New Year from your fans here in East Tennessee!

Ain’t it great building a vision that’s been stuck in your head! It may not be the easiest of tasks, and you’ll struggle at times but the rewards are definitely worth the effort! And this is a gem!😉✌🏼 Thanks for taking us along...

If you used a molding over the door sill it could hold down/cover the carpet edge and bend over the vertical edge. That could fill in that gap between the door as well. And just use screws to secure the way most vehicles do. It would look better than another rubber strip.

Mechanical clutch fan: Check on late model Ford SD pickup. Has built in 12 volt clutch. Very simple arrangement to adapt to a new home! Looked at the one on my F250 with 6.2 engine. In looking at some of your earlier postings, I remembered the air windshield wiper problem, which reminded me of working on them in highway buses. Actually, they were pretty dependable if you regulated the air supply to the point that broken wiper arms were avoided. The actual hookup has two lines run from the control valve to the wiper "motor". When you turn the knob counter clockwise, you will be turning against a spring in the valve, and allowing air to exit one of the ports. This is the "park" position. This will put the wiper motor to one end and stop. The other output is regulated by knob position of course, and will make the wiper motor run as you would expect. A suggestion for rubber matting...conveyor belting. You can probably pick up a scrap from a material handling dealer/service company. Makes an almost indestructible pickup bed mat, or floor mat. Also makes excellent mud flaps.

The contrasting color on the dash looks great. Makes me want some on the door panels. The shift lever shows up in the video saying "Paint me, too! Either color, just paint me already." And then the shifter knob starts to chime in with something, but is drowned out by the outside of the LR door, demanding priority. I found some weatherstrip in Princess Auto's Surplus section - but then I don't have eleventy-six vehicles in stock to check for it. Some of us have it so rough.

I think I would paint the heads of the screws that held in the windlace, and put them back in. It would look better than a bunch of empty holes around the doors, and help keep the holes from fraying too. That's going to be a unique and head-turning truck. Happy New Year to you and your family, from Linda and me.

Possibly make a bracket for "hood" trim and mount to body to engage the rubber on the door. If you can't come up with thicker rubber.

For your back door lower weather striping, take a strip of sheetmetal and bend up a C channel. Width and depth of the C channel as required to fill the gap between the rubber weather striping and the cab sill. Weld in place, seam seal, paint and done. Gasket will be as tight as you want it to be. Might be worth doing on the front door as well.

The build is really coming along and looking good! For the bottom of your doors take a look at stuff for the bottom of the garage door. I had to replace mine and found an extra tall one about 1.5 inches tall. Slid right into the channel on the bottom of the door, worked like a charm! Comes in different profiles. Just food for thought. Have a great New Year!

I did the same thing. I bought a few of those rubber backed carpets & I put one bit, rubber side up on the drivers side & the rest rubber side down on the passage parts, few months later I started getting a nasty smell that I couldn't trace. It got worse and worse until I finally tracked it down to the carpet under my feet which I'd put carpet side down. Where it had gotten wet due to, Due, Condensation & the occasional spilt mcay D's coffee. Worked out that the stuff is awesome and basically keeps itself clean. You no doubt won't ever see this comment but I just thought I'd let you know wot my experience with that rubber backed carpet was. Great work and luv your content thank you so much from a bored English man 👍

    Nicely done
@ 30:30 outta sight outta mind, it would be nice to finish dash with aluminum and round circles like spirit of Saint Louis like Charles Lindbergh's plane like round aluminum shapes on the fuselage near the engine cowling, I thought would be sharp with instrument concuil. It's neat to see how it's coming together I'm waiting to see what you do underneath your truck I think the center of the dome roof would be a great place to put that light that's commonly done that way I think it'll light well enough and it's a great location for overall lighting.

Dubble yes on that cam rear view! The cam can be magnetic and be used to see behind in low light backing and also pointed at hitch when hooking up and the on the the back of the trailer when backing it up as well! I second the motion for attaching that strip to the body. That way it wont sag as quick as one that covers that gap all from one side.
