Mine too. Probably because, as a UK viewer, I had more VHS' from S2 than I did S1, 3, and 4. But I do much rather prefer the UK's movie intro with the Star Wars-type scroll and the V.O. rather than the cast names that the US version had.
Major props for getting the FFOD opening with the correct audio track. Something no home video release in the US managed to do.most used the incorrect standard S3 intro. But even the couple episodes that had the correct FFOD visuals, it was synced to the incorrect standard S3 audio track. All that aside, the S2 opening is my favorite.
Thanks for putting this together! It's a little strange because I think I mostly remember the 1986 Reruns intro for the song and only later saw the OG intros for Seasons 1 & 2. I remember waking up one day and watching an episode of 5 Faces of Darkness and had no idea what was going on because I hadn't seen the movie😯
Season 2’s intro is the best, a great opening. My favorite TF opening had got to be Transformers Prime, closely followed by Animated, and then probably G1 S2.
Thanks for including season 5, the forgotten one. Like I commented in a different video, the episodes were reruns, but we got to hear Peter Cullen deliver new lines during the live action scenes.

There is one true Transformers movie, the one that was released in 1986. I have the original soundtrack cassette tape for it. I also took a cassette recorder and recorded the soundtracks to these intros over and over so I could just listen to them driving to work or college classes back in the day. Final thought: when the 1986 movie was about to hit theaters, commercials at the time had a tagline that said "You have to see it twice just to take it all in!"- I did just that on opening day.
Transformers the Movie: Badass, timeless, exceptional Season 3 (post FFOD): Creepy, ominous, but still amazing Season 1: Iconic, nostalgic Season 2: Very dynamic and dramatic; I like seeing the triplechangers and Omega Supreme in this intro
Sticking with just the show, season 3 and 4 have the best version of the theme, but 2 has my favorite intro sequence, especially the ending fight between Prime and Megatron that transitions into the title. I’m also partial to the special intro they did for Five Faces of Darkness. Of course, the movie version of the theme blows all others out the water, to the point where, no matter how many times I watch the film, I HAVE to sit through the end credits.
Season 3 and 4 are the best, I love the back beat of the drums! And, the visual cuts to the different scenes of the various characters timed to the music is perfection!
I like that it used the higher quality toei animation from some of the 1987 toy commercials. But imterspliced with the AKOM lower quality S3 intro it can be a little jarring. Wish they would have used just the commercials animation.
If you decide to compile the intros for Beast Wars and Beast Machines, please don't forget the "Battle for the Spark" BM version. The DVD releases didn't include it, but I taped the episodes back in the day and eventually converted that one to a digital file. (Of course, Generation 2 is next.)
I didnt know that the season 2 intro was reused with the season 3 theme or the intro of "season 5" itself so thats quite a surprise. Favorite theme btw is season 2

But I was exposed to the version at TC 3:04 intro, AS RERUNS before I discovered after the 1986 movie and third season debut, reruns started using the same theme. I liked the third season theme and its use in second season reruns, because it's more intense, FILLED with apprehension. _The third season intro is by far the best_ with each scene quickly fading and switching to another, seamlessly, although the second season with third season theme COMES CLOSE. I did like the writing of the third season cartoons but the animation needs A LOT to be desired. It took me time to get over the death of Optimus Prime. But even if Hasbro 'killed' off Prime and recreated Megatron into Galvatron for the wrong reason THEY DID 'the right thing' by showing LEADERS DIE and others must be ready to step up to the plate and take their place, *because THAT'S THE REAL WORLD!* It's a shame that we never got to see Rodimus Prime evolve and Galvatron turned back into the grim serious character he was in the 1986 movie. These cartoons stood the test of time and NOTHING in live action or animatoion presently on the screen regarding Transformers, can hold a candle to this bygone era! 😥

( Played on your compilation too!) Its was weird but completely cool! Ever thought of covering it? This wouldn't be the other weird thing Scifi did as theres a Dinibot Island episode with Triptic9n and Mega-Octane...never to be seen again!😭

Why are there two versions of the season 2 intro? One after Movie and FFoD intros? Maybe one I'm not familiar with. The season 5 intro could be great if they removed a lot of characters that hadn't been available for several years (but the shot of Optimus leaping into battle was great and would have been nice for Rebirth since he just came back at that point). It is unfortunate that season 5 is "lost" since that intro and the story framing segments with Tommy and Powermaster Optimus should be viewable nowdays.

Personally grew up with Beast Wars (didn’t even know that transformers were originally robots that turned into vehicles and not robots animals until after the transformers unicron trilogy around the 20th anniversary of the movie. Once i learned that though, i started watching the old show and honestly the only tjeme that comes close to the G1/movie theme is beast wars to me and if I’m being honest, it’s probably mostly nostalgia that makes the beast wars theme so close.
Leave both Computron and Abominus as a G1 Toy Accurate Scramble City Combiners for the Age of the Primes. And the Re-Issue Prime Wars Trilogy such as Combiner Wars and Power of the Primes.

First Season showed most of the regular characters. Second season mixed it up will the newer and older characters. The Movie had the best version of the theme song. Third and Forth seasons showed mostly new characters,yet the animation was a bit lackluster compared to the first two seasons.
