I was working as a medic in the 80's, and was behind the hospital at the delivery area restockig oxygen bottles. I heard the earth shake, looked up and seen a B52 coming in fairly low, and the bombay door open! I assume they were on a heading for a local power plant. Not something I've ever seen before or since,seen around my hometown...

When we went into Iraq they had one of the best air defense systems in the world. But when those B-2's went over Baghdad they had no clue what was going on. One minute their radar said nothing was in the air, for a couple seconds it said there was something there, and then it just disappeared. A couple seconds later the bombs hit and they knew they were dealing with something way above their pay-grade.

Seeing a b2 in person is once in a lifetime experience. I remember seeing one on my car ride home it didn't last long but the experience of seeing one last a lifetime. These beautiful machines are very rare and cool to see if you get the chance.
One filet over my house at around I'd say 150-200 ft. Not sure it was moving so fast I couldn't tell. And it was that loud. Was lower than this fly over though!
I've only seen a B2 go over me once. Spooky as "Hades". To get more eerie than that, I dunno. Maybe a Shadow vessel from Babylon 5!

I saw a B2 Spirit flyover on the 4th of July at the Rose Bowl, and it was an unparalleled thrill. I screamed so loud and jumped up and down and waved my arms and tears rolled down my face.

My grandfather and I saw one do a flyover at the Nellis AFB airshow. The announcement was that the pilot came from an AFB in Kentucky. He was on his way to California, and he decided to make a flyover for us. We watched this thin black line on the horizon come at us. It turned into the view of a jagged black object. It was completely silent. We heard the faint sound of engines as it was over us, but not until it was way past us did the roar of those thrusters ignite the ground and make it shake with sound. I will never forget that once in a lifetime experience. My grandfather said it made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.
I miss my grandfather dearly, and this memory we shared together makes me smile still.😮

I've seen the Thunderbirds 4 times, Blue Angels 6 times, and loads of aerobatic and military plane demonstrations. As awesome as they were, nothing is as memorable as the B2 flyover. When it flew over the airshow I was at, the crowd was almost silent. It was absolutely chilling to see such a large plane make so little noise.

We saw one flyover years ago, I think it was RAF Fairford, awesome days the 117 was there too, but actually took off and landed on the runway. The B2 is incredible, it seems so unreal as it flies over - it was chaperoned by some fighters, I have no idea what they were, I was busy videoing the B2.
On the same day the B-52 AND B-1 took off and landed at Fairford...the USA is so lucky to have three mesmerising memorable heavy bombers. It's so hard to pick a favourite!

Das Reich No it wasn’t. Germans experimented with the “flying wing” design the B-2 uses. Without advanced computer controlled flight systems, a true flying wing is not stable in flight. The old German flying wings used small tail stabilizers attached to the wing, as well as propellers instead of jet engines.
If Germans invented stealth, then why don’t they have it now? Only a handful of countries have true stealth aircraft, and Germany is not one of them. The US currently has at least 4 true stealth aircraft: the F-117 Nighthawk, F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, and B-2 Spirit.

On aN early summer evening in the late 80's, a couple of my friends and I were in a large valley in Kentucky setting off some fireworks on a long gravel road. I looked to the west and saw what looked like a flying saucer approaching. I walked over and opened my car door to grab the light switch. My friends, in unison, yelled "NO". But as it got close (and low, about 500ft) I flashed the lights. AND IT LIT US UP! As it flew by! It was this plane! The pilot actually dropped the gear and lit us up with the landing lights! It was the stealth bomber! It was flying directly towards Fort Knox, I'm sure for testing. GOD LOVE THAT PILOT!!!!

I'm not American but I can say that the B2 has the coolest silhouette by far. I do wish the RAF had something like this.
It’s shape also gives it incredible stealth, as well as its special stealth coating. It appears as big as a bumblebee on radar, meaning it’s totally ignored by anti air defenses.
In its entire service history, no gun or missile has ever been fired at one of these beauties, they can’t even find it to shoot at it.

B2 are mainly too expensive to mass produce.
They are more like a precise sniper shot rather than the rifles that are the normal jets.
TLDR stealth is expensive sometime.
The B2 was cool, even better was hearing the fans singing the national anthem and loving their country!
I still remember the first time I saw a B-2 flyover, I was playing capture the flag on wasteland on og mw2 back in the day (at the height of its popularity) someone had literally gotten a stealth bomber in game and it’s flying over dropping bombs but it sounded a lot louder and then after the in game bomber was long gone I could still hear it at which point I looked out my window and there it was flying over my house toward that’s honestly my favorite childhood memory, the time Boston and all I said to my cousin was : looks like someone’s getting a nuke this time around 😂
