  • This is the first video I have made and at the request of a friend I am going to make a series of videos to address their issues this video looks at setting up and cross cutting timber square.
I have been around wood since I was a small boy as my Dad was a carpenter joinery who taught me. I set up my own business in 2002 and have done many jobs since including site work and fencing.
I now run my own shop making gates doors and buildings. As part of this work I use a hybrid system part machines part handtools.
Im not very IT savvy and will do my best to produce good content. please feel free to let me know what you think of my video and if you want to know more or have any thing you'd like to have covered please let me know.

Hi! I liked your video. I do wish the camera was a bit closer to your work and that the video fit the UA-cam screen. The video frame was quite small. I hope you do more videos! Seemed like your saws were pretty dull? It's a strange skill to have but I can hear the difference between a dull saw and sharp saw by how it sounds in the cut. Best of luck to you!

Cathie Zimmerman hi Cathie, unfortunatly this vid was taken on my IPhone, now have a better camera but it takes 18-19hours to up load a video of this length with our poor rural internet so I feel it's not worth the effort and it's put me right off UA-cam.
In response to the saws the sound is not great they are sharp but all these smaller tooth saws I only file them in a rip pattern as cross cut pattern teeth are not so easy to maintain or create repeatable results.

Diesels, here in uk it's been a long time since we have had a petrol option on light commercial vehicles. We were pushed on to diesels that would save the planet now they saying we have got to go on to batteries in the next 20 years as the hydrocarbons from diesels are bad for people's health.
