Wow! Manufacturers are sure freshening up this category. I'm not even into scooters and I want an X-ADV! It's great to see designers pushing the boundaries. When my poor old bones can't hold up my DesertX anymore, I know what i'm getting.
Among scooters the Tmax tech is the greatest in technology update! The Tmax is also very efficient, very practical! I am a die hard fan of the Tmax tech range, I've had the 2008 model, 2021, 2022-2023. The Tmax tech is so reliable, and so easy to maintain!
What I hate about some of the higher cc scooters now is that some manufacturers use chains instead of cvt's. I am looking at you honda, getting the engine of the NC 750 and strapping it in a scooter body and then calling it a day. Heck if I'm buying a scooter. I could live with the power loss from the cvt, what I cannot live about is cleaning and lubing the damn chain every XXX miles or every few week/s. Whereas the cvt you just gas and go, no need for cleaning nor lube, then just replace the belt at about 15-30k miles depending on the model and how you ride.

Scooters kept the peace at my house 30 years ago when I was buying and riding open class sport bikes. I got several for family riding and my wife and son loved them. Me, too! It was an easy pleasant time… buzzing around town on our Honda 250’s while wearing street clothes. She then couldn’t complain about me taking time for scorching thru the mountains with the guys.🤐 Now, these bigger beasts (relatively) look to open a new city/touring class, even for us otherwise from-the-sofa seniors.❤️🔥

Forza and XADV have a twin cylinder engine with double clutch gearbox and this engine and transmission are both shared with other Honda models (bikes).Those scooters are bikes with scooter envelope, they even have chain drive. The TMax is a super-scooter designed as a scooter and does not share the engine, nor the chassis with another model. The cylinders are completely horizontal (more luggage space under the seat) the transmission is located close to the engine and not close to the rear wheel like most of the scooters. Stability is incredible because the weight is very centered. Finally, this scooter has aluminium frame (less weight) and a legendary reliability. The Yamaha is a real scooter-scooter with advanced engineering and does not have a direct competitor, these are the reasons for its ridiculously high price tag.
@@josevi5835 Your facts are correct but your conclusion is wrong. The TMax is a typical CVT maxi scooter while the XADV and the Forza both have the more complex and more expensive DCT transmission, both also have bigger engine displacements 50% bigger than the TMax.
@@nilobeebee TMax is not the typical CVT transmission scooter. The typical ones have the belt, variator and clutch behind the secondary axle while charging a lot of weight to the rear wheel. The TMax was the first scooter that changed this moving all the transmission system to the center of the bike. Moreover the cost of producing a 750cc engine is similar to the cost of a 550cc one.

First scooter was Solex with engine on the front wheel. After 4 grandkidz Istoped. One thing is true: Best time I had on the sadle of motorbikes. That feeling u can't compare with anything.
still can't understand why monoshock swing arm is only for the 500+cc maxiscotters... for the price and overall improvement it should be in the 300+cc maxiscooters

Sono stato all'eicma e toccato con mano tutti i prodotti del video...il .peugeot non è male trovo brutto lo scarico sembra un tubo della stufa, il prezzo previsto è decisamente alto parlano di oltre 8000 euro.Yamaha tmax ha un prezzo troppo elevato rispetto ad un Honda Forza 750 mentre l'xmax300 2023 ha gli stessi problemi (ammortizzatori, freno anteriore chiave multifunzione non illuminata, etc.) del modello precedente.....Honda è decisamente avanti
@@podunkman2709 Actually the old Forzas before used the basic scooter CVT engine at 300cc displacements. The Forza was a TMax peer together with the Burgmans 7 years ago. TMax is an old model just updating every 2 or 3 years.
Greetings from Turkiye All engines except Aprillia fall into the High Tax Zone in Turkiye. That's why many don't. Whereas the Kymco DownTonn 250 i is a very affordable and robust, comfortable, economical motorcycle, but it is not on your list. Interesting ? Thanks.

@@mauriziolagaxio4954 ammortizzatori posteriori ridicoli,vanno in fondo corsa scaricando tutto sulla schiena del pilota e passeggero, disco anteriore inadeguato alle prestazioni dello scooter, forcella anteriore che in piega con avvallamenti stradali va in crisi.....poi vi sono altri difetti,chiave multifunzione con vari impuntamenti e non illuminata,vano sottosella non rivestito e mal illuminato,farò anteriore poco potente,specie in abbagliante......per quello che costa ritengo siano,i primi da me menzionati,gravi problemi....parlo da ex proprietario venduto dopo sei mesi.....il modello nuovo,visto e toccato con mano all'eicma,ha mantenuto gli stessi elementi da me citati.....
@@mauriziolagaxio4954 dipende cosa cerca tra l'uso quotidiano dal tipo di percorso.......urbano,extraurbano;l'xmax300 ha un'ottimo motore, brillante dai consumi molto bassi 32 km/lt ma non vale assolutamente i soldi che costa,le consiglio di provare l'adv350 Honda,costa 100€ meno del "nuovo" xmax300,l'adv ha una forcella anteriore a steli rovesciati e posteriori a corsa lunga a gas della Showa oltre il bauletto keyless,frena come si deve,secondo me è costruito anche meglio del yamaha avuto per sei mesi.....cmq li provi entrambi su strada e tragga le sue conclusioni.

Why is the Tmax 560 (EU 15,699) more expensive than the XADV 750 (EU 12,600) and the Forza 750 (EU 11,990)? Doesn't add up.

No, they cannot. This is about weight and power. Too small engine to automate shifting. Requires lot of investment for nothing.
