Hey! I know this video is slightly older but just a word of advice; to cut weed barrier or other fabrics for enclosures, I simply place the enclosure on the top of the fabric then cut around it, making sure to cut a few inches from the base to ensure you have extra to hold substrate. Hope this helps - Matthias
I recently upgraded my leopard gecko into a larger enclosure, and used terra sahara. It's not a bioactive enclosure (I might get there in the future, but not yet), but its still a great substrate to use! Her new tank is also significantly larger than her old one, which is nice (over double the floor space!)
The set ups look good Hunter! One question, did you put the stones above the substrate? If you did you might want to be careful with that. You do not want your leos to dig below them and have the stones fall on them. Using a square-ish rock below is safe. That stone will be covered with substrate anyways
your tanks look awesome! i just built my two leopard geckos 40 gallon bioactive tanks with handmade backgrounds and everything! it was soooo much work (and so expensive 😅) but they came out beautiful
Hey Hunter! I've been following your videos for a few years now -- I'm just super curious about something, do ya'll still own Elliot? There hasn't been a video about him in a very long time -- anyway, I admire your hobby with all of your animals, it's amazing! (:

With the silicone you can always cut it with a razor blade if you wanted to take it apart later on
The queen has returned

Thanks for mentioning this! I made sure that the rocks cannot shift should one of the geckos dig near them. :)
You should do more videos later or this because you are very good at it
Glad to see you back!
Thanks! Glad to be back
Great job! And glad that I'll get to watch your build-off again. :)

Thanks for watching! Elliott was rehomed a few years ago to a family with several ferrets, because we wanted him to have more friends.
My name is Peyton
