Finally someone who doesn't hide the software from the public. This other "digitizer" youtuber (NDM) avoids answering what software he uses, and I'm almost positive it's this one because he only uses Brother machines. Thank you!
@@TockCustom I know I’m so late on this but what software would you recommend I get if I’m wanting to make custom patches mostly. I have a Brother pr 1050x. I’m VERY new at this and have zero software at this point.
@@Scavings Hi! So sorry for the late reply. I hardly get on here. I got the same as Tock, Brother PE Design 10. I figured if I was going to watch his videos mostly, I may as well use learn on the same program. I still end up having something’s digitized when I need them in a crunch though.
I'll probably do another video on this software at some point, I do get some requests for more info. Thanks so much for watching! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend
The best tutorial I have ever watched! Clear precise instructions with an excellent view of the software screen, and explained at just the right speed. Just brilliant.
Oh my goodness, you opened up a whole new world for me with the Pe design 10 software. You explain things really well and are very easy to understand. I need to learn how to digitize for my business. I look forward to watching more of your videos.
Very happy to help Valarie! Hope you're already off to making some great new projects. Good luck with your business too, let me know if you have any other questions along the way. Have a wonderful weekend :)
WOW, Just WOW! I have had PE-Design 10 for 18 months and never knew what Autopunch did. I have seen other PE-Design 10 videos but this is by far the best I have seen. Please make more PE-Design 10 videos....Thanks
Thank you so much for watching! I'm really happy this opened up some new tools for you to use, I really love this software :) Not sure when I'll get back to doing more videos on this software, but I'm always working on new embroidery projects. I really appreciate the positive feedback!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO- you're my hero!!!! You're explanations are so simple and you show exactly what to click etc. Every other video I found was convoluted and barely taught anything. I've been working on figuring out how to digitize this one logo for MONTHS and your video solved the problem for me in minutes. *applause* *applause* *standing ovation*
Nice Job! I must say I have watched MANY videos trying to understand more about embroidery, programs and the stitches. I should have started here! I was even looking at different programs but as someone else mentioned, other UA-camrs present the information in a sketchy way. Thanks for info! I have made my purchases to get started!🤞
Very happy to help! I'm planning to do some more in depth videos on this software very soon since they've added a lot of features. Appreciate the comment!
Thank you so much for the comment. When I was new at sewing, there weren't a lot of in depth tutorials for sewing, so I try to be very thorough. I appreciate you noticing :)
Hahahaha, I love this comment! I'll be coming out with some new videos on the current version soon (PE Design 11). Pretty much the same with some really cool new features :)
Great video... my son is an artist and I'm trying to digitize one of his pencil sketches but can't seem to get the background clear any suggestions I so did enjoy your presentation with no foo foo stuff... straight too it. I LIKED IT!
I just use some simple graphic design software to help me digitize things like hand drawings and signatures. Save the image as a JPG and then import it into this software, works perfectly every time :)
You have made my day! I got a PE800 for my B-Day. I do 120 crafts and Sewing isn't one of them. After finding out how easy it was to thread and use the new machine, It won't be collecting dust! I LOVE IT. My first interest was making patches. I have been on You Tube and the internet, trying to find some real help. 24 hours later, I find you! I'm thrilled to see someone genuinely willing to really helping people. I appreciate you and I will look to see what else you have in store! Thank you!
Thank you for such a thoughtful comment! I'm so happy this was helpful. I'll be doing a LOT more videos on machine embroidery, patches, and other digitizing projects soon. Hope you enjoy learning some new techniques along the way :) Have a wonderful weekend
Yes you can! It's really fun too. For example I've digitized my handwritten signature and embroidered it onto some commissions. Apparently people really wanted that at the time :)
Husband purchased a machine for his business and lost interest in it. Thought I would try my hand at it and I have been learning so much from your videos! Have been watching from unboxing, to threading, and so much more. Thank you for such easy to follow (and understand) videos. Getting quite inspired!
great tutorial! this video definitely has made me less afraid of buying an embroidery machine and being lost with the software. One helpful video idea would be troubleshooting embroidery machine issues, as well as how to do applique with embroidery machines!
@@TockCustom I didn’t catch the name of the software that you used can you please let me know what the name of it is & if it can be used with the Brother Innovis nq1600
holy crap, I've been searching for a clear video on how to digitize patterns or how to use the software. THIS VIDEO IS A GODSEND. I was super nervous about getting into this type of stuff because all of the other videos I've watched make it seem super complicated. I literally have no worries now. Thank you!
This is a God send!!! Man I’ve been searching on how to make my designs using my Brother machine and wasn’t getting anywhere. Thank you so much for this video!!!❤
this video was a lifesaver. I just purchased a Janome machine and currently have a Brother machine. I was worried I'd have to buy a new software. Also, I was working on a patch that I couldn't figure out how to fix stitches or clear up the image. Thank you for that.
Hi Tock! What machine would you recommend starting out with? I would love to be able to do custom stuff as well for myself. Your videos are really great and I appreciate the effort you put in creating them
Thank you so much this is very helpful. I am a total novice at this and tried the other day from a google image and it stitched out ok but I did not make to many changes as I did not understand how to do it, now watching your video gives me more confidence to try again. Please do more of these videos as I found you very helpful.
I'm happy this was so helpful! I've been getting more requests to do more content on embroidery tutorials, so I'll certainly be doing more of videos like this soon. I appreciate your support and feedback!
Great video! I seem to have mixed results when importing art with auto punch. What file type do you use? I create in Corel Draw and seem to have best luck exporting as .png file to import in Brother. Still not best quality..Eps file looks terrible.
Generally JPG's or JPEG's work the best. Higher resolution is always better - at least 1000x1000 pixes or higher. PNG's and EPS files are crazy high compression, so JPG's are much easier for this software to handle. Hope that helps, and hope you're doing terrific!
OMG...I am so glad I found you. Your videos are so informative and easy to understand. I have been wanting to do patches for so long and finally have the financial capability to get a good machine. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU DO & FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE!
I've gotten a lot of requests to do more content on this software, so I may be doing that soon. Although I may want to do it with the current software since this version I have isn't current (although it still works great). I'll let folks know when I have more info :)
@@TockCustom I sell PE-Design where I work, as well as a couple other brands of digitizing software. The main difference between PE-Design 10 and 11 is they added some features for quilters and I think a few things for the Scan N Cut. You're not missing much and the tools are identical on both.
What kind of formatting was your GOT picture when you uploaded it? I had issues that the quality went down or the image changed once I started messing with the settings like you did ( changed the color quantity, noise and so forth).
I usually use JPEG's. You can use a PNG too, but make sure it doesn't have any transparent areas. The higher resolution the better. Great question, hope this helps! :)
omg i am thinking of getting into custom embroidery for hobby/ business and was sort of thinking of not ... until i saw your video. Thank you for being transparent, clear and very informative on designing embroidery on graphics. Thanks!
Me again, sorry! I would like to know where the Pe-Design other versions can be found 2,5,8 something like that. I saw PE- Design 10 as and upgrade for over $300. Then after numerous hours of searching, I saw a Pe Design 10 for about $1300's! Can you recommend a digitizing software for beginner to tryout before making such a large investment? Anything thats in a PES format.
Unfortunately there's really no way around the price - every brand that makes digitizing software is extremely expensive. You can usually make your money back very quickly if you do a lot of custom patch or embroidery jobs for sure. I made like $500 in a week once just doing a handful of very specific patches for a customer - so that paid for half the software in a week :)
I just asked the same question. That was not an added expense that I was expecting. I watched several videos and no one mentioned this was required. But, I did hear the word digitize today.
@@paratroopergirl4064 Another option you have if the software is too expensive is to buy embroidery files online - there are usually thousands of premade designs you can get for about $2 to $5 dollar each, and use them as much as you want :)
i just got a luminaire 3 and pe design 11 and you are the first person who actually can help me understand the process. i enjoy the way you show and explain things thank you so much
It is very powerful software and can do just about everything the best commercial software can, although it may take a few more steps. Myself, I am an old school hand digitizer following in the footsteps of John Deer, Steve Wilson and Walter Floriaini. All about machine productivity and pathing. Never have used the auto features. However, when used correctly as you have done, you can get excellent results. As long as you do not have to sew out more than a dozen it is a good way to go.
I wish I could put this comment in a bottle and send it to everyone who says "Why is it so expensive!?" lol Thank you so much for watching, hope you're having a terrific evening!
@@TockCustom If you ever want to see how the old timers digitized I chose this short tutorial on pathing from my channel ua-cam.com/video/MLW8XFaVnWY/v-deo.html
Finding out this software alone costs 2 grand broke me. I wonder if Brother and Adobe are mates who hang out with each other after hours for beers and the lolz.
lmao - the image of that is pretty damn funny. The retail software is about $1000 - but if you're taking commissions you can make that money back fast. At least Brother doesn't make that DRM software crap. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this tutorial. I bought a Babylock 10 needle embroidery machine 6 months ago. Palette 11 came with the bundle. I've been busy learning the machine, but to tell the truth, I've been too intimidated with the software to even install it until today. I do know Photoshop, so I am not sure why I've let this software scare me. Your relaxed manner in explaining the steps for digitizing has really helped to settle my nerves. Here I go! :)
Yeah, this software certainly has a high price tag, but the amount of money you can make doing custom work is insane. Hope you're able to find something that works for you!
Thanks so much for posting this video... It is by far the best video out there on creating embroidery files. I have been checking for a few years and this video is amazing. Thanks again.
spent a few hours on the free trial hoping i could at least test how it all works only to discover you cant save the file or use it. really great tutorial and it helped a lot. im just pretty upset with brother for my wasted time.

wonderful video! i've had this software and my brother se625 for about 4 years and haven't embroidered anything. recently, some1 requested a custom patch. ...i'm so excited now.
Awesome tutorial! You give exact steps with quick explanations. Quick and to the point is what I needed to digitize my file in a snap. Very much appreciated!!
What a fantastic video! I have PED Basic, Palette 7 and Chroma Luxe and have watched countless videos, read the manuals and still end up fumbling through on my own. In One viewing of your video you have helped me understand many aspects of the programs I already have! I wrote notes furiously as you presented and these will help immensely! I will see if you have a video on how to utilize a background image to create an embroidery design, because I have a design that stumps my autodigitize. And your demo of how PE 10 creates an automatic patch edge was jaw dropping! Thank you!
thx to you & a few others on youTube I was able to do my own logo 1st time brother pe550d right out of the box :) bought for my mom & need to learn how to use it before she gets it for Xmas. looking good so far. I'll be watching, Thx for doing videos!!!!
I freaking LOVE you!!!! I just bought a floor model Luminaire 1 with ALL the bells and whistles thrown in including PE-Design 11 and the SnC 230D , for less than I paid for my junk Bernina 830LE (which I traded in), and was a PITA to use. Thank you for all your videos, as I was up most of the night watching!! I especially like that they are newer and up to date, not to mention easy to follow. I'm new to digitizing and am excited to get started! So many ideas in my head that are waiting to be stitched out!!
LOVE this video. Can you create more PE-Design tutorials? I’ve been watching others and your presence, tonality & inflection is 100fold better. I fell asleep last night watching someone else who was more monotone. LOL I just got PE-Design 11 three days ago & I exported some Brother files to play with. I have two files though that I want to “delete” some of the stitches from. One file has two shells & I want to delete one of the shells. It won’t “ungroup” and the left pane only displays “1” & the whole stitch pattern. Where as the Butterfly imported as multiple steps so I was able to reorder the stitches by color & right size the pattern for my face mask space. Keep up the GREAT work.
So happy this was helpful! I'm getting a copy of PE-11 next week, and I will certainly do some more videos on using this software for sure. I know exactly what you're talking about with the grouping and framework stitches, I'll do my best to cover more details than this video :) Thanks for the recommendation!

I'm so happy to help! I have to say, this is probably the most "User Friendly" software I've used, and it can still be a bit overwhelming sometimes. The Viking software comes with 12 books to help you learn the basics lol, I'll stick with PE-Design :) Thanks for watching!
I'm brand new to embroidery and bought the PR1055x and pe11 was part of the deal but I didn't know where to begin until I found you! Everything you post on the software or your pr1055x helps. Could you post a tutorial on how to digitize using the nodes ? I would really appreciate it

I appreciate you taking the time to to more into detail! You're videos are really helping me out! I'm sorta just beginning.. I bought a Brother se600 and am trying to make band patches and other custom projects!
Oh awesome! I'm happy these are so helpful, you'll totally be able to make band patches no problem :) You got a great machine there, it'll last you for years if you maintain it. (I've had mine for almost 6 years, still use it everyday). Let me know if you have any questions along the way!
Best tutorial on this topic. Love your teaching style and tutorials. I was torn between Sew What Pro and Embrilliance but after your amazing demonstration, I think I will go with the Brother. I have a Brother and wasn't aware this program existed. 😏
Hi Tock , I like your video, where can I learn how to program your own design as you presented in video. Specially the texture, stitches type and so many things you explained.
Hello! Where can you learn how to make your own designs? I thought that's what this video was about, right? If this wasn't clear enough I'm sure there are tons of other more helpful videos out there! Forgive me if I didn't understand the question, but I hope you find what you're looking for :)
Nice video. The patch option seems interesting. But when I see how some ppl make custom shaped patches, they do the following: first make the patch with a simple border. Then cut it out. Next they would put a layer of clear plastic (or water soluble film) in the hoop and have the machine sew the outline of the patch. Finally they stick the patch within the outline and have the machine do a thick border that covers up the cut edges. This way the patch comes right out the plastic and the border is nice and neat. Is this a method that you can recommend? If so, how would you design this using the software? Make 3 patterns for the patch, the outline and the final border? If not, how would you do it?
This software has a "Make as a Patch" setting, which does the full embroidery, and a very dense satin stitch around the whole design, so you just need to cut right along the edge of the satin stitch. It's always a good idea to put fusible webbing on the back so prevent fraying, or you can use fray check. I did another video where I actually made a patch to show how that works too. You can certainly do it the way you outlined it, but that's just much more work than necessary. Thanks for a great question!
Hehe he said dongle. ;) Great job at giving an easy entry point for beginners to be up and going in a few steps. It may be just the tip of the iceberg of what the software is capable of but howsoever it is a good starting point.
I honestly don't know any software for mac's, just make sure whatever you get can create the proper file types for you type of machine (For example Brother machines read .PES files). Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'm sure you can find something with a bit of research :)
Awesome!! I'm so glad I found this video and your channel. I dont no if you have as I have yet to look through your channel do u think we could have some more in depth info of this software or how to do a custom design. Or how to trouble shoot problems. Please ignore my suggestions if you have already done videos on this 😊😊
Thank You for sharing this video, i have always been intimidated by embroidery software. PE looks simple , i have Wilcom but i rarely use it. i am more familiar with photoshop and illustrator. after looking at your video, i am going to jump into Digitizing Software and give it a try. Once again Thank you for sharing.
Thanks a ton for watching. Yeah, if you're familiar with photoshop and illustrator it'll make your life a lot easier when designing embroideries. You can just design it first, then just plop it into this and you're all set most of the time. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks for the comment!
The dongle w/the memory card you mention in the very beginning, can only be used with a brother machine? What if I own a Bernette B79 Sewing and Embroidery Machine, can it still use this PE Design 10 program? If not, what other type of program can I use for the Bernette machine? Btw, your videos are soooo helpful!! Thank you for sharing!!
So you just need the dongle to run the software, and the memory card is designed to fit in Brother embroidery machines. But you can also export files to work with a Bernette machine I believe, and then use a USB stick to transfer the files. I'm not 100% sure if PE-Design creates files for that machines, so please do some research before investing in the software :) Hope that helps, thanks for the comment!!
Before increasing density,I might try an edge run underlay. The would neaten the edge better than density as even very dense stitching is limited by the weave of the fabric.
This is a terrific recommendation. A lot of times I'll use Twill for patches since it has a bit of a tighter weave, but denim is just so accessible and cheap. It's pretty wild how many factors come into play when doing even simple projects, but that's the fun part of seeing what works best for everyone. Thanks for the comment, hope you're having a great week!
Do you know how to create a border around the design? Say I want like a white border around a flower. Not like the cut out like that you showed at 14:00 thanks in advance!!
I'm out of town right now, but please send me an email, and I will explain it when I am able to! chris@tockcustom.com Otherwise, if you figure it out before then, no worries at all :)
Your videos are super informative. I inherited a singer quantum xl-6000 when my mom passed. Trying to figure out how to use it. Have you ever worked with that model before?
I haven't worked with that particular machine, but most machines operate the same exact way. I'm sure you'll be able to set it up and thread it with some of my other videos. Thank you so much for the positive feedback - hope you can keep the love of your mom alive with some amazing new sewing projects. Please reach out if there's anything else you'd like to learn!
Hi there, going to make my hand embroidery into patches, but I've not really investigated...much. Denim sounds like a good idea so I hope you don't mind the pinch!! So the question is (am a seamstress in training), do I need specific needle when embroidering denim. Planning to watch all your videos so maybe it will come up, sorry to be repeating.
I'm probably not the right person to ask about hand embroidery projects. I can certainly help with machine embroidery projects, but I don't have any experience with doing things by hand. Sorry I can't be more helpful!
This was so extremely helpful! Thank you so much. I was able to create a beautiful embroidery design for a friend's cosplay using this tutorial and my Ipad + PE Design 11.
Your video is amazing! It’s clear and easy to understand. I will seriously consider purchasing this software. Thanks for sharing. I am also subscribing to your channel. 😊
Awww, I really appreciate your positive feedback! Thank you so much for watching and for the support. Please let me know if you have any questions as you're learning :D
Have you ever used InkScape/Inkstich in your workflow? I utilize Adobe Illustrator 2020 as part of my design workflow and would like to include it with digitizing embroidery process. But the best I could find is i2 software that is an Illustrator plugin. It is commercial grade and has a price tag to match, over 3k. While searching for a similar alternative I came across Inkscape/Inkstitch. It is open source and therefore free. I am considering utilizing this app but wanted to hear from more experienced people such as yourself. Note: It is difficult to find PE Design software, and as you pointed out previously, most of the online software seems to be a scam. My Brother SE400 has a USB-B port, so I think I do not need a card reader, and can transfer the PES files directly from my computer to the sewing machine. Also, thank you for such a great tutorial.
I have not used Inkstitch, but I really want to check that out now! I'm a little familiar with InkScape, and I love open source software. Thanks for the recommendation! As long as you can save files as .PES, your Brother machines will be able to read the files. You're 100% correct about the USB port also, sounds like you know exactly what you're doing :)
This is what I needed, awesome video! I've never touched a sewing machine in my life but looking to get started. I would love a tutorial on how to sew a design like this onto a simple T-shirt would be awesome!
Thanks for the time to make these videos. Very informative 👍🏻I do have some questions. I recently purchased PE Design 10 upgrade version. Upon installation I recieve a message about Must connect a card writer/reader module. I'm hoping you can clear the confusion. What is the best ( card reader module) for me to get for PE Design 10 upgrade version? Also does PE Design 10 upgrade version software work by itself or do I have to purchase another software so that I can use Pe Design 10? If any one else can chime in I would greatly appreciate you all. Thanks a million
Thank you so much for your video, I just got an embroidery machine and the software and this I really helpful. I would love to see more tutorials on this software ❤️
When writing something simple like a name using a built-in font, how do you decrease the 'boldness' of it. In other words, how do I decrease the width of the stitching the program automatically uses for fonts. Fonts that have thin lines are coming out much more bold based on default stitching. I'm just getting into basic embroidery with the Brother SE625 and your videos are very helpful!
This particular program just draws in any fonts your computer has installed... so you might need to just go to one of those free "Font Websites" and find a 'condensed' or 'slim' version of that font. You can kind of squish the letters, but that might distort it too much. You can also design it in photoshop, paint.net, or inkscape... save it as a JPG and then upload it into PE-Design as an auto-punch image. That works too! Great question!
@@TockCustom the font is already very light, but PE Design makes it much more bold by default. I'm curious how to change the defaut width of the stitches for an embroidery that is simply from a light font (segui light). Thanks!
@@USFmarine Hey, do a test run. Sometimes the actually embroidery turns out looking different than the digital rendering. Its worth a shot, and then you'll have a better idea of modifying it. Maybe you've already done that. But its worth a try!
I was looking for how to actually create a vector graphic design to use in my digitizing software vs having to use a raster graphic. I do not own this software so your video was not helpful for me but you explain how to use this software nicely.
I am brand new to the embroidery world. I just purchased a Brother SE625. Im looking for software to create my own design and to be able to digitize logo's etc. Will the PE Design 10 work with my machine or do I need to upgrade to the 11? You mentioned a disk, my machine takes a USB. Your video is amazing and so helpful for this newbie.
Any version of any PE-Design software will work with any Brother embroidery machine (and others). Brother machines read .pes files, which this software will make. Some of the newer Brother machines have both a USB slot, and a card reader slot - but either will work fine. Thanks for watching, I hope this was helpful!
This is an amazing tutorial! They come out looking great --- Sadly the only thing is when I transfer them to another setting (singer, Jenome, ETC) it doesn't send all info where it has the last bits missing or just not the same quality
Oh that's no good, I didn't realize there were issues with exporting to different machines... Hopefully there's a fix for that, but I only use Brother machines so I don't know how to help. Thanks for watching, hope you find some solutions!
I'm really curious to know what was the file type that you imported in. The program easily converted it which is impressive. Other programs I've been looking at and trying all require manual manipulation to redraw all the lines on top of the imported image. Either you already did that step, or this program is really that good, or your image wasn't a typical clip art gif/jpef/bmp file. Please respond....I'm getting ready to buy a program. 🙂 PS....your videos are great....very helpful!
JPGs work the best. PNGs do work, but only if they don't have any transparent areas. Also the larger the pixel count, then better it will look. Hope you got the hang of it :)

Love the explanations... so clear and gives great background info that other presenters don't. Awesome presentation
Thank you so much for the comment. When I was new at sewing, there weren't a lot of in depth tutorials for sewing, so I try to be very thorough. I appreciate you noticing :)
Received embroidery machine as gift no knowledge of how to use your video was so informative and made it so easy to use my machine thank you.
Oh that's terrific! Hope you're enjoying getting into some basic embroidery right now!
Thank you! I think this has been the most helpful video I've seen for this software!
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching :) Cheers to a happy 2020
Best Pe-design video I've seen so far. Straight to the point without the long intro about what happened last week. Cheers 🙂
Hahahaha, I love this comment! I'll be coming out with some new videos on the current version soon (PE Design 11). Pretty much the same with some really cool new features :)
Hello I was wondering if you got the pe design 10 and if you did could I know where you bought it because I don’t know where to buy it.
Great video... my son is an artist and I'm trying to digitize one of his pencil sketches but can't seem to get the background clear any suggestions
I so did enjoy your presentation with no foo foo stuff... straight too it.
Hope you enjoy learning some new techniques along the way :)
Have a wonderful weekend
Can you draw a design, scan it into your computer, and upload to software ? Thank you. Great Video!
I can add those ideas to my list for sure. I'll be reshooting this video since PE Design 11 is out now, so thats a great reason to include that :)
Thank you!
thank you for this video! please continue to make more. i like the way you teach and explain!
You're so welcome! I've been doing a lot of new ones lately! Appreciate your positive support. Hope you have a great 2020!
This is a God send!!! Man I’ve been searching on how to make my designs using my Brother machine and wasn’t getting anywhere. Thank you so much for this video!!!❤
Thank you so much! I was hoping to find a good simple to follow tutorial and info and this was the best I found!! So helpful! 👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent! I'm so happy this was helpful ❤
this video was a lifesaver. I just purchased a Janome machine and currently have a Brother machine. I was worried I'd have to buy a new software. Also, I was working on a patch that I couldn't figure out how to fix stitches or clear up the image. Thank you for that.
Glad this was helpful. Its also great that this software an export to both brands of your machines too :) Happy Holidays, and thanks for watching!
This comment makes me so happy!! Very thankful this was so helpful - hope you start making some terrific patches and other projects soon :)
hey Tock, what type of format should the image be saved as so I can digitize it on brother pe?
Brother machines read .PES files for embroidery. Hope you're able to get everything working!
Finally! Someone puts out a good video on PE Design!!! Thank you! Please do more of these😁
I've gotten a lot of requests to do more content on this software, so I may be doing that soon.
@@sibadoba what about mac,is it compatible?
What kind of formatting was your GOT picture when you uploaded it? I had issues that the quality went down or the image changed once I started messing with the settings like you did ( changed the color quantity, noise and so forth).
I usually use JPEG's. You can use a PNG too, but make sure it doesn't have any transparent areas. The higher resolution the better. Great question, hope this helps! :)
If I can make my own, would it be easier to turn faster images into be tor for a cleaner look? Or does it not matter?
Fab video thank you- it's the best explanation of PE10 on the net - everyone else makes it so complicated. Please do more PE10 videos. Thanks again!
You're so welcome, I appreciate you watching :) I have a few more ideas on some new videos to do with this software soon!
When uploading an image on this software what file does it have to be in?
JPG works the best - but PNG's work well too as long as they don't have any transparent areas. The higher the resolution, the better 😀
omg i am thinking of getting into custom embroidery for hobby/ business and was sort of thinking of not ... until i saw your video.

Hahahahaha! This comment made me smile big time :)
I wish I could put this comment in a bottle and send it to everyone who says "Why is it so expensive!?" lol
Thank you so much for watching, hope you're having a terrific evening!

Thank you!

I freaking LOVE you!!!! I just bought a floor model Luminaire 1 with ALL the bells and whistles thrown in including PE-Design 11 and the SnC 230D , for less than I paid for my junk Bernina 830LE (which I traded in), and was a PITA to use.
I know exactly what you're talking about with the grouping and framework stitches, I'll do my best to cover more details than this video :)

Forgive me if I didn't understand the question, but I hope you find what you're looking for :)
Best tutorial ever
Thank you very much :D
Hehe he said dongle. ;)
Great job at giving an easy entry point for beginners to be up and going in a few steps. It may be just the tip of the iceberg of what the software is capable of but howsoever it is a good starting point.
lol, you have no idea how hard it is for me to say "Dongle" without laughing 😂 Thanks for the great feedback too!
Wow this is easy. Any software suggestions for Mac users? Thanks for sharing.
I honestly don't know any software for mac's, just make sure whatever you get can create the proper file types for you type of machine (For example Brother machines read .PES files).
Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'm sure you can find something with a bit of research :)

Thank you so much! Very happy this was so helpful to you. Hope you're having fun with graphics and embroidery :)
I'm not 100% sure if PE-Design creates files for that machines, so please do some research before investing in the software :)
Hope that helps, thanks for the comment!!

Hi there, going to make my hand embroidery into patches, but I've not really investigated...much. Denim sounds like a good idea so I hope you don't mind the pinch!! You are a great Teacher! Thank you for this embroidery tutorial.

Another awesome, inspirational, easy to follow video! Keep them coming. You’re not helping my budget any!
Thanks a ton dude!! Yeah this kind of software isn't cheap... but there's no substitute for proper equipment!
Your videos are awesome. So easy to follow. To bad that software isn’t available in Canada.
