“He may not have a clue and he may not have style, but everything he lacks well he makes up in denial” is definitely one of my favorite offspring lines. Happy to be a new subscriber!
That song descibes the vasy majority of my relationships up to a point. Absolutely my favorite Offspring song. Gone Away still makes me bawl my eyes out, but in a good way.
Ricki Lake was a popular talk show host in the 90s. The lead singer is definitely fly, literally. He flew solo around the world in 10 days, has his Phd in microbiology.... very interesting guy!
One of THE defining songs of the second half of the 90s. This was the pinnacle of The Offspring's mainstream success and still probably their best-known song.
Yeah pretty good learning aid for that but I gotta admit I think it's weird that 5 in Spanish is "cincocinco". I really feel like they could shorten that up to just "cinco". Get your language in order, Spanish speakers!
I have been a Offspring since day one. I'm a Metalhead and took my friend who is also a Metalhead to see them live at a small club (Capacity 1,500). He wasn't sold on going but I told him once you see them live you will understand. After the show he said it was the most fun he's ever had.
This band is so good! Other songs by them - The Kids Aren’t Alright - You’re Gonna Go Far Kid - Come Out And Play - Why Don’t You Get a Job ....... all these songs are really great
@@ShawnandMel4Life check it out again the 'Fly white guy' is in the video for that song. there is a lot of thought put into the videos by The Offspring
I heard this song over a TRILLION times, and it still jams as brand new to me every time I hear it! An amazing song! I remember hearing it on the radio on a primarily 'black' radio station. I actually went out to buy the album! Then low and behold, after researching the group to see if they've made any more songs that jam with cool comedic flare, I discovered they made the theme song on one of my favorite video games (Crazy Taxi), and several other awesome tracks that was playing on the radio were by them too (Original Prankster, Come out and Play, I Choose, etc.) from there I just started collecting all their previous and following albums. Im simply a fan. Now only if they would come out to Miami and perform!
I know I'm 7 months late to the party but, I have to say: I went to school with a kid that was like this. He tried so hard to hang with the brothers. But here's the thing, they would've hung with him if he'd just been himself. He told lies about being poor and from the hood. Then everybody found out he lived on the cul de sac and both of his parents were really wealthy. Then he just caught holy hell. This song came out 2 years after I graduated but I remember hearing it for the 1st time and just laughing till it hurt because they were literally singing about Tim. Full circle, he's dad retired from his engineering job and ended up being my daughter's bus driver 🤣
This song will be 24 years old , this year . This video reaction was 2 years ago . So happy to see this video appreciated in it's entirety ... no racism and no shit-talking . love you guys .....
This song came out 5 years after i graduated high school so I was 23 and I loved the song and Video then and still do now . Love yall reactions ❤. Come out and play, self esteem great songs too
Back in the days when people could laugh at each other, instead of everyone getting their proverbial panties in a bunch over something that's supposed to be funny. This is from the early 90's and there were a LOT of wannabes back then. This song makes fun of them but also is a pretty good tribute. Never cared too much for the song, but my nephew (who was about ten at the time) loved it.
That whole album is great start to finish! Gosh it's crazy how music can so vividly take you back to a certain time in your life. This would be blasting in my little VW convertible after school filled with all my girlfriends standing up air drumming and cat calling cute guys as I drove down the road. Gosh I miss those days🥺
Hell yeah, it's not just the singles (this, Why Don't You Get A Job, The Kids Aren't Alright and She's Got Issues), the album is packed from cover-to-cover with classics. Have You Ever, Staring At The Sun, Americana and Pay The Man are my favourites- in fact I think Pay The Man may be the most-underrated song The Offspring ever recorded.
Check out "Self Esteem" by The Offspring. This was my first time seeing you two. I like The Offspring. There's also "The Kids Aren't Alright" and "Come Out and Play"
This describes every guy I knew growing up.. in my very white small town.. walking around like they fly AF using lingo they'd get beat for anywhere else.. lol..
If you like songs and videos with a touch of humour then Bowling For Soup is worth a look, 1985, Almost, Punk Rock 101 and Girl All The Bad Guys want. Although you may miss some of the referances depending on how good your 80's and 90's music knowledge is...
Self Esteem and Come Out and Play are definitely necessary reactions, but I would love to see you react to Gone Away or The Kids aren't Alright for a little change of pace
Awesome. 😁👍 The Offspring is great. I remember back in the nineties when they were new I thought they were one of the best. Try Come out and Play or Self Esteem. If your interested in nineties and you haven't tried Rage Against the Machine. Try Bulls on Parade. (I haven't checked your vid scroll yet) Thanks.

"Didn't have Ice Cube so he brought Vanilla Ice"... I'm dead.
That line has had people rolling for over 20 years, and still doesn't get old.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 didn't pay much attention to the lyrics as a kid,all I know is I was immersed into the song and vibing 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yup, That's just like my son😂❤😂
I mean really, whats the difference?
“Self-Esteem” is one of their first hits and an awesome song, you should def check it out!
agree and "gone away" with it.
That song descibes the vasy majority of my relationships up to a point. Absolutely my favorite Offspring song. Gone Away still makes me bawl my eyes out, but in a good way.

Yeah!!! "Dexter" Holland pretty fly for a white guy. Haha
Molecular biology, not microbiology
One of THE defining songs of the second half of the 90s. This was the pinnacle of The Offspring's mainstream success and still probably their best-known song.
This song is the only reason I know how to count 1-6 in Spanish lol
Yeah pretty good learning aid for that but I gotta admit I think it's weird that 5 in Spanish is "cincocinco". I really feel like they could shorten that up to just "cinco". Get your language in order, Spanish speakers!
if you say cinco cinco then they'll think you're loco loco.

"Why Don't You Get a Job?" by The Offspring should be next - it's hilarious, too!
We reacted to that song a couple of days ago. We hope you enjoy the reaction. Thank you so much for watching.
Good news, they already did it a couple of days ago!
@@ShawnandMel4Life check it out again the 'Fly white guy' is in the video for that song. there is a lot of thought put into the videos by The Offspring
I'd do 'come out and play', their first hit really

I always took this song to be Mocking a certain type of white guy who was "acting black."
"Gone away" is a great song. It is a tribute to a friend of theirs who passed away. GREAT SONG!
You guys brightened up my day I don't know if they meant to slip that pun in there but that's great
The Offspring is releasing a new song tomorrow.
🔥
The women teasing and dancing for him only appear that way from his delusional point of view, I think 😂
That was definitely only going on in his head.
I'm old enough to have known a couple of these wannabes back then.
After The Chronic there were sooooo many!!
The stereotype of women in west coast rap video clip (Snoopdog and so on) he dreams of.
Yep. Also, in the song, he was driving a Pinto, but in his mind, he was driving a cool Chevy!
This song came out 5 years after i graduated high school so I was 23 and I loved the song and Video then and still do now . Love yall reactions ❤. Come out and play, self esteem great songs too
Offspring recommendation
Self esteem

You guys need to do "Gone Away" by these guys. Plus after you do it you can react to Five Finger Death Punch's cover of "Gone Away"...twofer
That's was great. Some songs are just alot of fun and this for sure is one of them. Yall looked like u enjoyed that. Great job
You two are Fly.

Classic song. I heard this song recently, but it had been yrs before
Back when people had a sense of humor 😁
That's a damn fact!👍
@@tracieleeburnett3395 My logic is Undeniable 😁
Gone Away will take you on a different kind of ride.

It was great watching you reacting to this fun song.
90s were cool, rock hard and have a lot of fun at the same time.
I'm here checkin in showing my love & support like I always do and I will be watching until the end family😁
Hey Fam, thank you so much for watching and supporting us from day one!!! You Rock!!
This was one of two songs that inspired me to play guitar & write songs back when I was 13
But I'm a better drummer than a guitarist.
You can't do The Offspring without listening to Self Esteem or Gone Away.
Thank you for the love a the end, but I assure you, the last thing I am is "fly". Glad you enjoyed the song. Great reaction guys.
The Offspring-Kids aren't alright and "Gone Away"
Break out the Busch Light, I'm back in High School with this tune!!! 🤣🤣 Now we need some Green Day!
♥️🤘
You're a beautiful couple. Enjoy your reactions! 🤩
Maravillosas bailarinas. Hoy, desgraciadamente, hay gente que las critica. Me parece des-evolucionar
Love you guys! 👍 Always 🙋🙋🙋
The lead singer is Dr. Dexter Holland PhD . Seriously he is a Dr. of molecular biology. Dude is a genius and a punk legend
Good reaction! Never seen this video, hilarious! Cool song indeed.👍
Hey Frank, thank you so much for watching!

Luv you guys, keep the great reactions coming!!
Hit That, is a great one by them as well!

Hey Bluharkness, thank you for watching!
Sweet song
This describes every guy I knew growing up.. in my very white small town.. walking around like they fly AF using lingo they'd get beat for anywhere else.. lol..
I’ll always describe this video as a music video producer paid a mad scientist to combine the DNA of Run DMC, Green Day and Twisted Sister.
If you like songs and videos with a touch of humour then Bowling For Soup is worth a look, 1985, Almost, Punk Rock 101 and Girl All The Bad Guys want. Although you may miss some of the referances depending on how good your 80's and 90's music knowledge is...
Americana is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard 🙌🏻🤘🏻

If you want to hear another side of them,”The Kids Aren’t Alright”is a very serious song about an important subject.

He’s getting ink done. He asked for a 13 but they drew a 31
