On the original version Aurora said she wanted the drums to sound as if they were coming from the center of the earth.
One of the coolest things about Aurora's live performances is that she sings her songs differently based on where she is and the audience. This is a very subdued version of the song compared to the original or HAIK versions.
Zoe, you need to look up the original music video as the message is more aggressive and I know you gone love it 🥰 Greetings from Norway 🇳🇴

@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach yeah, while this quiet version is beautiful, this song in particular and the message is even better with the more aggressive version, and the imagery in the music video is also very powerful.
I love Aurora so much. She is sheer perfection. And this song is one of her best. This issue is very close to her heart.

This version really pulls at your heartstrings, but you should really check out the actual music video that includes clips that will make you feel so much stronger about this (which you obviously already do)! Her heart is the purest heart on this earth I truly believe that! I really enjoyed your reaction though, and have subscribed!
Aurora is very aware of her acoustic environment. This version is very different from her studio arrangement. All her songs were re done for her (most excellent) Nidarosdomen Concert in order to suit the high reverberation of a Cathedral.
Thankful to the algoritm that brought me here. You analize and teach with useful exercises I never found on other channels.

Hello! Love this performance it is so much Aurora. But at the same time i am sad seeing this. It is one of her co-singer Silja sol last performance with her. Those two is heaven togheter. I hope they come back togheter sometime. Thnks again for your lovely word.

@Zoe Stibi Vocal Coach , Silja plans to expand on her career as a solo artist (she already has some albums out). I understand that, but I too think it’s sad she won’t be collaborating with Aurora anymore.
Enjoyable and informative as always. Aurora is a great subject for this type of video as she has a lot of live performances to choose from. Plus she doesn't do cookie cutter performances, but seems rather to to adapt each song for for each individual performance.

It was nice reaction. Original version (f.e. in a official video) is a bit different and more "aggressive".
I love all her songs that is hard sometimes to chose but would recommend some from 3 different concerts:
- Lucky from Nidarosdomen
- Murder Song from Nobel Price Concert
- All is Soft inside from KEXP :)
React to Encrypted love or Wisdom cries by Aurora ... you will be floored
This rendition is very slow paced and stipped down compared to the studio version or other live versions such as from the HAIK concert.
From a vocal coach perspective I guess the songs from the Nidarosdomen concert as well as the KEXP Iceland airwaves gig are more interesting to deconstruct and analyse.
I can't pick one "best" song of it because I love them all but to pick an example, let's say 'It happened quiet' from Nidarosdomen concert.
Maybe you can't get enough and delve into her catalogue like we "warriors and weirdos" do.

Lately aurora it’s pretty much everything I listen to ( besides BTS of course LOL) one song I love its running with the wolfs I would love to hear your thoughts on that one
You really need to see the video. That’s when she blows you away with this song.
Oh, I advice you to listen to, and even make an analysis of the official video.
It is so different than this version, faster pace and more power, but still the same in core.
I just love love LOVE this song, it's so good and so important, both message and song itself.

Love the analysis and reaction. Aurora's video version of The Seed is presented as an anthem with scenes of icebergs crashing into the ocean and protesters demanding action. Musically, there is a long build and a powerful drop that hammers home the message that "you cannot eat eat money," a phrase that she attributes to the Cree, a Native American nation. ua-cam.com/video/_Mc_OM5oNA8/v-deo.html The woman performing backing vocals is Silja Sol, who will be leaving the group for a solo career and the drummer is Magnus Skylstad, who has co-produced and co-written with Aurora but not on this 2019 song.
Her name is Silja Dyngeland, stage name is Silja Sol :-) Sol = SUN, sound better on album and stage.

@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach her cover of Rasputin is really cool, very playful. I'd say go for it. A completely different interpretation from the original Boney M version. My understanding is that this is a radio show funded by the Norwegian government. Part of the program is that when an artist/band shows up they are given a song without their prior knowledge and they have one hour to prepare to perform it live. Aurora's cover of Believer by Imagine Dragons on P3 Christine live was done this way and it is epic!

@@ZoeStibiVocalCoach FYI- go for the original album version. The official video cuts out a great intro. The Demon Knight version doesn't have the wailing at the end that would be the most impressive part to a vocalist.
: .This Aurora song sounds like a song recorded four years earlier by Natalia LaFourcade called Desde Las Raices. In some parts in the phrasing and melody it sounds exactly the same. Sorry Aurora but the similarities are obvious. And she doesn't even give credit to Natalia for the song in the song credits LOL !!!!!!
