Yay I’m in the vid :D I definitely wouldn’t say Luke Garrett is underrated though. He has by far the best/most social media presence than anyone else in the top10 for kinch and you can’t see any of his videos without dozens of comments saying how good he is at everything. Is he the best all rounder? No Would I say he’s a better overall cuber than most of the best all rounders? Yes
I like how when the geometry dash cube game community is in chaos i go watch stuff happening in the speedsolving cube community and everything is going very well, smooth and dandy
@@TotalSpeedcubingProductions i honestly doubt it (at least for a while), since it will usually not have much impact besides just more people at local places and what not. Maybe more drama online about staleness of any top level cubers if there was a ton of cubers, but this isn't like sports, the only people that could have real controversy is like, prime as a company and... idk cubers getting way too good rn.
Personally, I would consider the best all rounder be the #1 in the sum of ranks. Mainly because that rank means that on any event you’re most likely to compete in it and place for podiums in most comps. Even though Luke is incredible in a lot of events, he lacks blind events and for that Martin feels like the best as an all rounder.
its even crazier when you look at sor (a similar measurement to kinch but i think its less bld heavy or something), where he is second if i recall correctly
you cant really go "luke garret is 5th best in 3x3" and ignore that stanley has pioneered big blind for years also its a common misconception that an event being the most popular makes it the most competitive or taking the most time, people who main pyra put just as many hours into pyra as people who main 3x3 put into 3x3 and so just because he is a top solver in a bigger event that doesnt mean he has more of his time taken up by 3x3 than tommy cherry for instance has on blind
True that at the top everyone pretty much grinds as much. However, you cannot deny that 3x3 is miles more competitive than events like pyraminx. Thereby talent is a much more important factor in 3x3.
@@TotalSpeedcubingProductions that’s not true, sport theory says all that changes is the amount of people who are near the best however there are also way more people that compete so the percentage stays the same
Do You Think Luke's Incredible 3x3 Skill Should Make Him The Best All-Rounder In The World ??
i have 17 nemeses and he isnt one of mine so nah

Good thing if we avoid drama 😅. As the community continues to grow there might be more and more unfortunately.

luke garret is trash at cubing he is just a spoiled rich kid that has rich parents that take him to a lot of competitions.
I think if Luke caught up in the blind events or just did more 7x7 he'd definitely be a good contender for the best
Same with skewb

Fair opinion. Sum of ranks really was the way to determine the best all-rounder before KinchRanks and Martin still dominates !
The issue with sum of ranked, is that it undervalues skill rank in blind events, because of the lower number of competitors.
this is why im exited for NAC

Yup, he should best All-Rounder in the world.
Wait till yiheng comes to other events
I doubt that would happen, at most he would probably only practice 4x4 or maybe 5x5 besides the short events
He does 2x2 and pyra, but ik that he sometimes practices 4x4 but barely 5x5
Martin Egdal
Yeah cuz all the Chinese kids that are fast at 3x3 only do like 1-5 events lol
