    Very nice tutorial on making a dirt hole. Best piece of advice you gave though was to tell people to get out and trap. Videos are a great guide to get the concept but cant beat hands on experience.

    I'll be the first to say I'm no
    professional trapper.
    But JMHO- I wouldn't dip a stick in
    any bait or lure then toss it aside where it might distract an animal from my set. It'll either stay in the set
    or go in my bucket. I use an old spoon to scoop out baits, and the
    sticks i dip in baits go down the hole

    Dukes makes a square jaw in a # 3 offset coilspring? I have rd jaws in #3 4 coil spring. I know they make them in #2 and #4 coilspring. If they make them in #3 square jaws I will have to look at them. I am running 3 dz of #3 rd jaws 4 coilspring offset.

      Duke makes 4 and 2 in square not 3 so this guy might not know much just repeating what he has herd from others. He is overly worried about scent too.

    It's why I only use 4 pound drags. Throw the bastard in the brush, bury the traps, place bait and lure and walk away. In and out in 5-7 minutes. Plus the drags save my back.

    • @ChrisGilliamOffGrid
      @ChrisGilliamOffGrid 6 років тому +1

      Yeah, but if you're on foot you can't carry many drags. :)

    • @shaunedwards6097
      @shaunedwards6097 5 років тому

      What Chris said, walking the mountains of western Pennsylvania doesn't allow for that and the coyotes up here will walk away from that real quick

    The audio is on one channel only. If you're listening with one earbud, like I was, you get no audio. I did a right channel / left channel check on UA-cam. Your audio is Left channel only.

    these traps are illegal in the EC because they are so cruel. If a child or another person step on them they can also get hurt. I hope this psychopat's children step on them!

      Traps are not cruel, I have trapped since I was 11, I'm 59 now. I have caught domestic cats ,dogs, even a chicken once! I have also caught myself numerous times over the years. Lol. All animals were released unharmed and my fingers and hands are 👍

    • @Wonderful81
      @Wonderful81 Рік тому

      @@bubbadoolittle-vh8ev why do you catch them? They are wild animals, they get scared and stressed; again foot traps/leghold traps are prohibited i EU because it is animal cruelty; I really wonder why there are these differences in the continents; Europeans living in both continents, but still USA is so backward like a third world country on this point; try to explain to a Cambodian or Vietnamese that chaining wild animals is cruel, they will not understand, because they are so uninformed and undeveloped, but USA, what happened here??

      @@Wonderful81 I am in the rural area, I have chickens and cattle and other animals that need protection from the predators. Traps are the most efficient and effective solution for me. Plus sometimes you can get money from the furs and always your providing a great service for the actual predators that you are trapping. Thay have no natural predators except man to keep their numbers in check. When they have overpopulated, they develop mange, distemper, rabies and other types of diseases. This type of death is slow,painful and miserable for the animal. Trapping is a win,win win situation for all involved! Whether you are a person or an animal. Modern traps are humane and even basically painless. I've stuck my hand in them to prove that point many times. Still I have all my fingers and thumbs!!! Lol.
