Clara Schumann: "I have rarely experienced such perfect pleasure. I am convinced that this work will take its place among the greatest music ever composed Moreover, I have seldom seen a new work make such a profound general impression on the audience. From the first note to the last, what a build-up, one never felt conscious of the work's length, and how am I to describe to you the sounds, the most moving ever heard? One really can have no idea at all of many parts of the work, if one hasn't heard it - Ariel at the beginning of part two, for instance, the sunrise, the death of Faust and much more besides." (To Johannes Brahms, 25.1.1862)

it is impressive to see how in this kind of Ninetinth Century music always lays the insuperable model of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony Finale. Schumann is challenging it. It's a marvellous music , epithome of romanticism and song of innerest soul.
Thank you. My first time listening to this one. Thank you for brining all these wonderful music to the rest of us...
Absolutely right on...I was just going overboard with listening to more nonsensical nonsense on UA-cam regarding the Covid-19 and political theatrics and Niall Ferguson newly minted book aka; Doom Day! | discussion on GoodFellows, Hoover Institution 🤔idk even know why I bother with his claptrap...thank heavens I was wondering along on UA-cam and came across Goethe Faust, who is redeemed in the final analysis by being only human in his zeal to be fully and recognizing the correct path...🙄😏😉😇🙏's may we all be forgiven for only being human in our faults and mistaken path we may well take in order to avoid our inevitable recognition with one reality life is temporary yet all to us during are youth through to our inevitable age and hopefully wisdom to be our best.

Muchas gracias a Usted.
You spoiled the book 😑
Thank you from the bottom of my heart !!!
Thanks for post! I had never heard this piece before.
I think Schuman in Goethe's Faust is most closed to the instances of the oustanding literary composition, and the Romanticism is the main texture of this opera
Wonderful, many thanks sir.
For Tölzer fans: The part with TKC goes from about 1:15:55 with Faust + the two soprano boys at 1:16:30 , then Faust + the Tölzer choiir on to 1:19:00.
SCHUMANN EST UN GRAND MAESTRO , SON ORATOIRE ES GÉNIAL PRODIGUX , SON MOTS, SON PAROLES !!!
Perfection. Many thanks!
Amazing upload thank you
Bellissimo! Grazie!
💙💙💙
Très belle distribution. Avec "FiDi", on n'est jamais déçu.
Thank...
