I don’t mind Kuzma imo hes an upgrade defensively from Rui, but tbh at this point if they could just get a backup big i would be content with this roster healthy

kuzma would be a waste, better to full focus on jerami grant and cam johnson, both big 3&D wings, with great shooting, kuzma is okay, not good enough for the 3

Not only can Max Christie replace Prince, he should be the starting 2 along side AR as the facilitator and main ball handler. Package DLo in a trade to get either a backup rebounding center and/or 3&D wing
Max Christie is more likely to try to dribble-drive on the catch. Already got too many teammates trying to dribble. Taurean Prince was comfortable as a frequent catch & shoot specialist in both corners.

Kuzma is good, and his salary decrease until 2027 and Tyus Jones could be great as well.
Those of you mentioning Tyus Jones -I love it. He's very underrated! And I'd love to have Kuzma back. The roster cap is killing us right now. The Salary portion can be figured out but not having the roster space is rough. We can't bring anyone in without trading someone. That's why I'm not mad that Hield didn't come our way. There's no space for him. If Washington is willing to play ball we might be able to get two starters but they must be willing to take DLo. We all know they're not bringing Rui back on $17mil. I don't like giving up Gabe Vincent but you do what you have to. People forget how our defense looked with Kuz on the wing. We had length and versatility. Getting a player like him adds that back to our lineup. Jones, Reaves, Kuz, Bron, AD or Reaves, Vando, Kuz, Bron, AD (We know Bron is point forward in this lineup). That might be a defensive matchup nightmare for opposing teams not named Denver. If we give up 1st rounder with DLo, Vincent, & Wood pull the trigger. Then sign Dinwiddie or another back up PG and Cut Reddish if you can't find a willing trade partner. Or package him with a 2nd rounder to free up a roster space.

Lebron was never going to take a paycut. This was just to put pressure on Pelinka to improve the roster, and make it seems like if Rob didn’t get the job done, then the front office is to blame.

Loss of prince shouldn’t be too bad. With Vanderbilt hopefully being healthy next season, lakers won’t miss him too much. Plus knecht hopefully will adapt to nba play faster than a younger rookie.
We already won with kuzma we know he work with AD and bron…he’s not afraid of the big moment but we also know he’s an upgrade from rui. Prince was redundant and was a liability when he had a starting role lasy year. Max has a higher ceiling and is already a better defender imo.
Prince is who he is at this point and will just take away from Max's development like last year.
Calling a 40% 3pt shooter who was solid all-around and vastly outplayed his contract "redundant" is why Laker fans like you will never appreciate role players

What does Kuzma do that Hachimura does not? Both are mediocre tweeners who don’t defend well, except Kuzma makes more than Rui. So why give up draft picks to pay more? Doesn’t make sense. Cam Johnson is the move. This doesn’t move the needle one bit.
Keep Rui and get Kuzma.

The new rule, each team cannot use more than two minimum salary players to trade. For example, I though we could have Dlo, Wood and Raddish for Cam Johnson, which is against the new rule.

1. A really unwise move to not resign Taurean Prince, which was pretty much their most consistent 3&D player.
2. The Lakers need more depth at the SF/PF positions, and I think there's still a few affordable current free agents that they can sign to fill in roles; KJ Martin, Robert Covington, Miles Bridges and Cameron Thomas. In addition to those names, they can each play the SG, SF and PF positions for even more balanced scoring, defense and overall versatility that the entire team can positively benefit from.
3. Ion know if the Lakers would be willing to resign Kuzma, especially due to the fact that they kinda ended on "bad terms" after his playoff performance in 2021. He's definitely improved for sure, but I think he's better off being a star on his own team
4. Cam Reddish shown to be a capable and reliable perimeter defender when healthy, and has came up big inna few games last season, most notably against the Phoenix Suns, Clippers and Blazers. Despite being corrupted by injuries, I think he should get resigned by LAL.
5. Trade D'Lo, Spencer, Hayes, Vincent and a couple draft picks, and a couple of last season's rookie players.
We can't trade spencer he is not in our team.

I think it might be alright but I think they should trade Dinwiddie and Rui for him because Rui and Spencer’s numbers weren't good vs Denver. For defense, that too.

I dunno... I prefer Cam Johnson - shoots a lot of 3s, perfect w Bron, USA teammate w AR, ideal w JJ... and we RLY NEED to TRADE D LO, I'd rather keep Rui. Attach a 1st w D Lo and get Cam Johnson. 💯💯💯

If they kept rui and he was okay with coming off the bench and getting significant minutes off the bench I would. Cause his 3 point shooting can’t be replicated and I feel like if JJ can figure out how to use him off the bench he can be a legit 6th man. Getting rid of Dlo and taking on spence instead would work. Mainly as their defensive minded guard. He can produce as well as Dlo and has shown that when he started when Dlo was out. And is a much better defender. Off the bench having Rui and Max and Vando and Dalton would be a big upgrade for them. And I would just have them come in and be spark guys who can give the main guys a breather. I think Rui and Kyle can play 3 or 4 if they shared the court. I don’t think Washington used them together well. I want to keep Rui unless they get a legit player for him back. Like Jeremy Grant or someone that can be a defensive threat as much as an offensive one.

Either you're part of the solution or part of the problem. Pelinka is part of the problem.
